Chapter 17

It was mid-afternoon in Domino City, about 11:00 a.m. A certain girl was hiding in the shadows behind the school, blue eyes scanning the area around her. It was Serenity, and she was in her secret place again during lunch. ‘It was a bit coming up with an excuse for my 5th, 6th, and 7th period teachers. Good thing they bought it, though.’, she thought as her eyes scoured her surroundings.   She was making sure no one else was there with her. Seeing that the coast was clear, she was about to call Ishizu and Shadi telepathically when she heard a rustle in some nearby bushes. She stopped what she was doing and whirled around towards the noise. “Who’s there?!”, she demanded. Out from the brush came forth… Mokuba Kaiba?!   Serenity was very surprised to see Seto’s brother out of school. She exclaimed, “What are you doing here, Mokuba?!”.   Mokuba slowly strode up to her and answered, “I left my school during lunch to find you.”.   Serenity was now confused, and that’s when Mokuba explained on why he wanted to find her. “I’m really worried about Yugi, and I want to help you and your friends find him!”, he said.   Serenity was a bit suspicious and asked, “What does your brother say about this?”.   Mokuba looked down in shame and answered, “He doesn’t know. I didn’t tell him about my plan.”. He then told her about his past experience, on how he wanted to help Yugi during those times he was bullied. But, he was afraid of Seto’s reaction to that, so that’s why he didn’t help the poor boy when he was getting beat.   “I was afraid, until I saw you deck him good in Yugi’s defense! I’m not afraid anymore because of that!”, he told her proudly. She just had to smile at that, and soon she was in deep thought.   After a moment of silence, she put a hand on Mokuba’s shoulders and said, “Good for you, Mokuba! I’m proud that you are not afraid anymore!”.   Mokuba grinned sheepishly and replied, “I’m just trying to be like Yugi, now. I remember that he stood up to bullies, even though he was afraid of them.”.   Serenity’s smile widened a bit and a she whispered, “I got a surprise to show you. Want to see it?”. He nodded, then Serenity closed her eyes.   Back in Egypt, Ishizu and Shadi were returning home. They had just returned from grocery shopping, when Ishizu picked up a telepathic message. “Its from Serenity!”, she stated.   Shadi went to his friend, closed his eyes, and concentrated with her. “Serenity! We picked up your message! What is it?”, Ishizu asked.   Serenity replied, “I would like to be teleported back to your place to see on what has happened so far.”. The two said it would be okay, and were preparing to teleport her when she interrupted them.   “I’m bringing a friend as well”, she said.   Shadi then inquired, “Who is it?”.   She answered, “Its Mokuba, Seto’s little brother. He is worried about Yugi too, and wants to help me find him.”. The two were in thought about this, then decided to let Mokuba in on the situation as well.   “Okay, bring him along.”, Ishizu said. Serenity thanked them, then closed the link. The two then went back into position, and started to fire up their powers!   Mokuba was puzzled by Serenity’s trance-like state, then was relieved when she came back to reality. “What happened?”, he asked her.   She just smiled mysteriously at him and answered, “You’ll see.”. Soon, the duo were engulfed in a brilliant gold light! Mokuba was surprised at this, not to mention a little scared. The two levitated off the ground a little, then a flash of light exploded! When it died down, the two were no more.   Little did they know, but a pair of cold violet eyes watched the entire scene. It emerged from the shadows to reveal… Yami!! “So, this is what is happening.”, he said to himself. A smirk formed on his face, and he soon ran off.   “I bet the others would like to see on what is happening here.”, he said to himself yet again as he sprinted off from the area.   Mokuba was surprised on where he was. ‘What is going on here?! The next minute I’m at the high school, the next I’m in a strange room!’, he thought as he scanned his new surroundings. He saw that Serenity was with him, but she was not alone.   She was in the middle of two people; a young woman with jet-black hair and blue eyes on her left, a young man wearing a white turban and black eyes on her right. “Mokuba, meet Ishizu and Shadi.”, Serenity said as she introduced the dup to her new guest/friend.   Ishizu bowed a little and greeted, “Nice to meet you, Mokuba Kaiba.”.   Shadi also bowed a bit and added, “Pleasure to meet you, young boy.”.   Mokuba was very much surprised by this, then he exclaimed, “Alright! Just what is going on here?!”. The trio were about to explain, when a flash of bright golden light came from behind.   “Yes, what is going on here?”, a voice inquired. The trio’s eyes, plus Mokuba’s, widened as they recognized the voice. They snapped their heads behind them to see… Yami!   He had teleported to their place, and he was not alone. With him was Joey Wheeler, Tristen Taylor, Mai Valentine, Rebecca Hawkins, Tea Gardner, Duke Devillin, Ryou Williams, Bakura, and Seto Kaiba! They were now all there, everyone who knew Yugi were in one room!   Ishizu just glared at them all, including Yami, and demanded sharply, “How did you find us?!”.   Yami smirked, strolled up to them and answered, “I read your telepathic conversation at school. I just traced the little message to here, so here we are.”.   Mai then went to him and asked Ishizu and Shadi, “What is going on here, you two?”. They didn’t answer her, but Yami asked the same question.   Knowing that ancient law declares that they answer the Pharaoh, Shadi answered, “We are monitoring Yugi.”. They were all surprised by this.   “Where is the little squirt now?”, Joey asked sharply. Serenity gave him a hard glare, which made him back down a little.   She answered him, “He is currently in Tradguld, in the city of Boyzby.”. Now all of them were stumped by this info.   Ishizu sighed and said wearily, “Come. I will tell you everything.”. All of them made their way to the living room, sitting down where they could. Before she could start, the former female guardian gave Yami the coldest, hardest stare she could muster. Needless to say, he was a bit surprised by her behavior.   “Let me start at the beginning.”, she said. With a deep breath, she and Shadi started to explain everything that had happened in the past five days.   “So, that is it. All of it.”, Shadi finished. It had been a long explanation, but it all sunk into them. All of them, except Serenity and Ishizu, were amazed and shocked by what they have just heard.   “Yugi is… the chosen one?!”, Joey said disbelievingly.   Tea added, “He is… in another dimension?!”. All of them were just in a stupor right now. Yami was also surprised to hear this information.   Serenity spoke up proudly, “Not only is he the chosen one, but he has the stuff to back it up!”. Ishizu then went to the mirror, and waved her hand in front of it. The mirror rippled, then it showed a picture of Yugi from the day before. All of them were shocked on what they saw.   They saw Yugi… and his reflection. “This is when he looked into the Mirror of Souls.”, Ishizu stated. She then told them on what the Mirror of Souls does and shows. Mai, Tea, and Rebecca were just standing where they were, mouths hung open and eyes wide with shock.   “That is… Yugi’s reflection?!”, Rebecca exclaimed. They saw the image on the mirror, lust in their eyes.   Ishizu saw this and answered sharply, “Yes! This is on how the spirits see Yugi! They see his true soul, spirit, and heart! They are reflecting and showing him and the others his true self!”.   The girls and the guys just couldn’t get over on what they saw. Serenity also added, her voice full of venom, “After all you did to him, I’m surprised that he still retains his good qualities.”. They all snapped back to reality, and a tiny hint of shame and guilt hit them all.   Everyone, that is, except for Seto and Yami. Yami stated, “I say that the spirits are fooled.”. This go everyone’s attentions, as all eyes turned to him and Seto.   The billionaire spoke, “I agree with him. I say that the spirits, or whatever they are, are certainly misguided if they see Yugi as that!”.   Mai added, “Yeah. And those girls, Kyleen and Nelsha, must be desperate ones if they like Yugi that much!”.   Mokuba couldn’t believe on what his brother just said. ‘I’ve got to stand up to him this time, brother or no brother!’, he thought. Before anyone could move or say anything, the little boy went up to his brother. Seto looked down, and was puzzled on why Mokuba had a look of anger on his face.   Mokuba then shouted, “I don’t think so, Seto!”. Yami and Seto were very much surprised by his outburst. The others had a look of surprise on their faces too, except for Serenity, Ishizu and Shadi.   Mokuba continued, “I believe that the spirits aren’t fooled! I believe that reflection is Yugi’s true self!”. Seto was about to say something to stop his brother’s sayings, but Mokuba would have none of it.   “I wanted to help him when he was down or being bullied, but I was too afraid of what you would do if I did try to help him! But now, I got the strength to stand up to you and defend Yugi!”, he declared. The billionaire was very much in shock at his brother’s declaration. Mokuba just stood there, ready to take anything Seto would throw at him.   ‘I’m going to be like Yugi! I may be afraid, but I‘m not backing down!’, he thought. Seto looked at his brother for a moment, then he sighed out and turned his back to him. He had nothing to say to him. Mokuba relaxed a little, seeing that he had struck his brother hard.   “I hope what I just said wakes him up!”, he said to himself as he joined Serenity.   Ishizu was furious on what Mai had said earlier. After Mokuba was finished with his stand, she went up towards the blonde girl. Standing before her, the woman just reached way back and slapped Mai hard! A red hand imprint was shown clearly on her right cheek as she staggered a bit from the blow. Mai back off as she regained her balance, seeing the fury in Ishizu’s eyes.   Ishizu whispered menacingly, “I wouldn’t call them desperate, Mai Valentine. In fact, I would do anything to be in their place right now.”. She had meant every word of it too.   Serenity also stepped forward and added, “Same here. I don’t look at the outward appearance, unlike some people!”. Tea, Mai, and Rebecca were extremely puzzled and surprised by the two girls declarations.   Yami decided to speak up and asked, “Where is Yugi now?”.   Ishizu had to comply and replied, “I will show you, Yami.”. She went towards the mirror, and waved her hand in front of it. The image changed, and it now showed Sodina’s house.   “Let us see on what kind of situation the little boy has gotten into.”, Yami stated. All of them agreed with him, and they all found a spot to sit on in the living room.   Back in Boyzby, Yugi and the others were in Sodina’s house. The group had just awoken from an hour and a half nap, and they were just bursting with energy! They were just ecstatic about their new quest! “Yeah! Let’s have a party!”, Muza declared.   Wyna added, “Yeah! In celebration for Yugi’s first big quest, and also of him accepting his destiny!”. Yugi was very much honored that they would have a party for him.   Kyleen exclaimed, “Yeah! I say he has earned it!”.   Nelsha put in, “Yay! A party for Yugi sounds good!”.   Soushi said, “Yes. Yugi has earned this privilege, and he deserves it as well.”.   Meis looked at his student and he asked, “Well, Yugi? How about it?”. Yugi blushed a bit and answered that it was okay. They all cheered very loudly at once! Sodina then went to the kitchen.   “This is a big occasion, so I’m going to be working hard today!”, the cheerful sister of the late Jyabil declared. Kyleen and Nelsha then went over to join her.   “You got that right, and I’m going to help you!”, Kyleen stated.   Nelsha added, “Nelsha help too! Since this is for Yugi, Nelsha wants to make it extra special!”. Yugi blushed brightly at that comment. The three girls then disappeared into the kitchen, preparing a huge feast for the party for Yugi.   Wyna said, “I’ll go into town and pick up some stuff for the party! Try to liven it up a little!”. Muza and Soushi decided to go join her. The three then went out the front door, looking ready to tear down anything to get the right stuff.   Meis then turned to his student and said, “Yugi, follow me.”. Yugi nodded, and both disappeared into the smithy. Once alone, Meis looked at his little pupil.   “Yugi, you have done well so far.”, he told him.   Yugi silently thanked his teacher with a little bow and a look of gratefulness in his eyes. He continued, “Now, I will teach you something that is essential to your training. It is very difficult, and you may some problems on the way.”.   Yugi inquired, “I’m ready! What is it?”.   Meis smirked and answered, “It is… dating.”.   Yugi was just dumbfounded on what Meis had just said. “Wha-?!”, was all Yugi had to say.   Meis chuckled and he explained, “Dating is not only good for your social life, but also important in your Spirit Blacksmith training.”. He once again explained that a girl was needed in order to make stronger, better weapons.   “When you go on dates, the girl’s intimacy with you is tested. The higher the Intimacy level goes up, the better and easier your forging will go.”, he stated. He also said that with a girl’s Elemental Power imbued with the weapon, he/she could gain Elemental magic spells and/or new Special Attacks.   “The more you date, the more higher the girl’s affections rise and also the better your weapons will come out.”, Meis finished. Yugi was blushing badly at the thought of going on dates. He hadn’t had much luck with women, let alone date one.   Meis added, “Oh, one more thing. Date lots of various girls, for each girl contains a different Elemental power. Not only that, but its good to have variety!”.   Yugi was just slammed by his blush and he said, “I-I don’t know. I don’t exactly have much of a way with women.”.   Meis smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll teach you on how to date women and what to do. After all, I am Meis Triumph!”. Yugi just had to laugh at this, since he read the Triumph’s transcripts back in Kant and learned that the whole Triumph family were known to be good with women.   “Okay, let’s begin with the basics.”, Meis said. Yugi was now going to learn on how to date women.   Back in the kitchen, Sodina, Kyleen, and Nelsha were busy preparing the food for the party. “So, Sodina?”, Kyleen asked.   Sodina turned her attention from her work and inquired, “Yes?”.   Kyleen then asked, “What do you think of Yugi?”.   Sodina smiled a bit and answered, “He is a very good person. He is unlike any other kind of young man I have met.”.   Kyleen smiled and replied, “I know what you mean. He’s very cute, good-looking, and also fun to be around with.”.   Nelsha got into the conversation and said, “Nelsha agree with you. He’s also kind, considerate, and also caring! Few men around here like that!”.   Sodina nodded her head and giggled. “You are right. He is all of those, and maybe more.”, she said.   Kyleen then asked, “If he asked you out, would you go with him?”.   Sodina turned to face her and stammered, “I-I don’t know. I mean, I am with Meis and…”.   Kyleen cut her off there and said, “Yeah, I know. But remember, he dated me, Nelsha, Wyna, and a whole lot more last year!”. Sodina did remember that, and saw that even though Meis dated a lot of girls, he never did anything really serious with them.   Sodina sighed and answered Kyleen’s question, “Yes, I would go out with him.”. Kyleen and Nelsha knew that she would, knowing Sodina’s good nature.   They both said at the same time, “Same here!”. Giggling, the three went back to making the food.   Back in Egypt, everyone was just staring in awe at what they just heard and scene. Then, they all started to laugh! “No way Yugi is going to survive on a date!”, Duke laughed out.   Tristen added, “Yeah! I mean, look at him! What girl in their right mind would want to date him?!”. Then he saw the icy glares from Ishizu and Serenity, and he quickly shut up.   Yami chuckled, rose up, and stated, “Hmm. This is going to be more interesting then I thought.”. He told everyone that it was time to leave.   “Ishizu, Shadi.”, he commanded.   The two reluctantly went to him and asked, “Yes, Pharaoh?”.   Yami stared at them and commanded, “Continue to monitor Yugi. I want to see if he does have what it takes to fulfill this little quest of his.”. They both bowed and said that it will be done. Smirking, he teleported the entire lot out. Mokuba and Serenity stayed with Ishizu and Shadi. After they all left, the two former guardians rose from their bowing positions and turned to the two.   “I think you better leave too. I bet the school teachers are worried about you two.”, Shadi stated. Serenity and Mokuba agreed with them, and the two were soon teleported back to their schools. When they were alone, a moment of silence passed between the two guardians.   “So… what comes next?”, Shadi inquired.   Ishizu just shook her head and answered, “I don’t know.”. The two then slowly turned their heads, seeing Yugi and Meis talking.   “The boy’s journey will soon begin!”, Shadi stated. And he was right, for now, Yugi’s quest had officially started!   It was 4:30 when Meis and Yugi came back from the smithy. Yugi’s head was a bit dizzy at the moment, with all the advice from Meis crammed into his head. Meis just chuckled at the way Yugi held his head, trying to clear his mind. “Hey, we’re back!”, a voice shouted out from the front door.   The two boys looked up to see Wyna, Muza, and Soushi standing in the doorway. They each had two brown paper bags, each filled with something for the party. “Hey! Welcome back!”, Yugi greeted.   The three smiled at the young hero and went over to the table where they were. “So, what did you get?”, Meis inquired.   Muza answered, “Just some decorations for the party, that’s all.”.   Soon, Sodina popped in from the kitchen and said, “The food is almost ready!”.   She then asked Meis and Yugi, “Could you set the table for us, please?”. The two boys complied with a smile, and started to prepare the table for the celebration. Wyna and the others started to take out the contents from their bags, and started to decorate the place. Colorful streamers now were hanging down from the ceilings and balloons of many colors were being scattered around.   Twenty minutes later, the place looked different! It was like a big party house! Yugi looked at everything and commented, “This looks great!”.   Wyna and the others thanked him for the comment, then another voice came on the scene.   It shouted, “Food’s ready!”. It was Kyleen, and following her was Nelsha and Sodina. In their hands were plates filled with hot and wonderful smelling food! Yugi helped them set the plates on the table, Sodina instructing them on where they needed to be. After that, everything was complete!   “Now, let’s party!!”, Meis exclaimed.   All of them replied, “Yeah!!”.   Back in Egypt, Shadi and Ishizu were enjoying the scene before them. Shadi said, “Wish I was there celebrating with them.”.   Ishizu nodded and replied, “Same here. Oh well, at least he is having fun.”. The two chuckled as they saw Yugi having a good time with everyone.   Shadi then stated, “It is good that he has friends once more.”.   Ishizu agreed with him and added, “Yes, it is. Friends, this time, that will see his true self and also enormous potential! Ones who like him unconditionally, not like others that have requirements that meet their standards!”.   They both remembered that in the past, Yugi had to do something either specific or drastic in order to have friends. Either he didn’t meet their standards or they would just abandon him. They shook the painful memories away, and focused on the present. In the mirror, they saw Yugi’s trademark grin and also pleasant laugh. The two guardians just couldn’t help but smile at this. Yugi’s laugh and smile could warm even the coldest of hearts.   ‘Yugi, you will do well! Both in your quest, and dating!’, Ishizu said mentally before giggling at the thought of Yugi dating one of the girls.   “This should be cute!”, she said to herself as she continued to watch the events.   In Domino High School, school had let out and the students were walking back to their homes or their hangouts. Serenity was walking home alone, because she didn’t want to be with either Ryou or Joey at the moment. Those two were at the arcade with Yami and the rest.   “I just don’t get it! After all Ishizu and Shadi told them, as well as seeing Yugi’s true self, that didn’t change them at all!”, she said to herself.   She just shook her head sadly and said, “I guess it’ll be a lot longer for those idiots to open their eyes and see their mistake.”. She was soon snapped out of her reverie by Mokuba, who joined her.   “Hey, Serenity. Anything new?”, he asked her.   She smiled sadly at the boy and answered, “Hey, Mokuba. No, not yet. Yami and those first-class jerks still haven’t opened their eyes yet.”.   Mokuba was very saddened that Seto and Yami haven’t seen their mistakes, just like the others that were with him. He then gazed up at his friend and asked, “Want to go see on what Yugi is up to?”.   Serenity smiled warmly this time and replied, “Yeah!”. Before she could call her friends in Egypt, she suddenly remembered something important and ran off. Mokuba was surprised by this, and tried to catch up with her.   “Hey! Where are you going?!”, he exclaimed.   Serenity answered, “I think I know someone who just might want to see Yugi as well!”. The young boy caught up with her, and the two were running like mad. Soon, they arrived at their destination… the Turtle Game Shop.   Going in, Serenity and Mokuba called out for the owner. “Hello? Is anybody here?!”, Serenity called out. They soon heard a door close softly from another room, and in trudged a tired old man. The two recognized him as Yugi’s grandfather, Solomon Moto, but were surprised on how he now looked. He had bags under his eyes, and it looked like he had been crying a lot.   His clothes were wrinkled and creased in many places, and his spark of life was gone his violet eyes. He went over to the counter and sadly welcomed the two visitors. “Hi. How may I help you?”, he asked in a very sad tone.   Serenity went up to him and asked, “What happened to you, Mr. Moto?”. The old grandfather sighed and told the two to follow him. They did, and the three were at the living room behind the Game Shop. Solomon sat down on a couch, Serenity and Mokuba on another one across from him. He then explained on what was wrong, telling them that he had been very distraught over Yugi’s disappearance.   “I had promised my daughter and son-in-law that I would take good care of him. Now, I feel like I had failed them.”, he told them sadly. The two caught on to the pain in his voice.   He continued, “I used to care for Yugi a lot, but when Yami came in, I had no more time for him. Until recently, I gave little thought to Yugi. Now, I’m very guilty and angry at myself for ignoring the poor boy for so long!”, he sobbed out. Serenity and Mokuba now saw that Solomon was very sorry for himself, and wanted to make amends.   Serenity then stood up and walked over to the heart-broken man. She put a hand on his shoulders, and he looked up at her. “Do you want to see your grandson again?”, she asked him.   Soon, Solomon saw that he was in a living room of some sort. His mind was still whirling from what had just happened a few minutes ago. “One moment, I’m telling the Serenity and Mokuba about my distress. The next, I’m caught in a flash of white light and end up here!”, he told himself.   He saw that Mokuba and Serenity were still with him. He then saw two others across from them, two he had never seen before. “Hello, Solomon Moto. Nice of you to come. My name is Ishizu.”, the young lady introduced herself.   The young man beside her also said, “Nice to meet you, as well. My name is Shadi.”.   Solomon looked at Serenity, his eyes screaming, ‘What is going on?!’.   Serenity sighed and told him, “Mr. Moto, there is something I think you should see and know.”. Ishizu and Shadi then led the three to the living room. Sitting Solomon down on the couch, Ishizu waved her hand in front of the mirror. The mirror rippled, then an image of Yugi appeared. Solomon’s eyes widened in disbelief, the image of his grandson before him!   He turned to the others and exclaimed, “How?! Why?! What is going on?!”. Ishizu and the rest started to tell him about what has happened so far. It was awhile until the realization hit the old man like a ton of bricks.   “You mean… my grandson is- the legendary chosen one for that world?!”, he exclaimed.   Shadi nodded and said, “Yes, he is. He has the pure heart, soul, and spirit that is needed to combat the new evil that is about to emerge there.”.   Ishizu added, “He is training to become a great Spirit Blacksmith, and he is determined to make Meis and the others proud of him.”.   Serenity also put in, “The Mirror of Souls showed his true self, and you saw it yourself. It also showed him his destiny and path, and he accepted it.”.   Yugi’s grandfather was surely amazed on what he had now heard and witnessed. “It was amazing, however, that your grandson still remained the same. After how long you and the others neglected him.”, Ishizu stated coldly.   The old man felt very ashamed now, guilt riding along his entire face. “I-I’m sorry about how long I have ignored my grandson.”, he said.   Then he rose and stated, “But, I couldn’t be more proud of him now then I ever did before!”. The spark of life was slowly returning to him, the fire slowly coming back to life in his eyes.   He turned to the four and he bowed. He said, “Thank you very much. Because of you four, my eyes are now open. I have seen the error of my ways and I’m truly sorry for what I have done.”.   Ishizu smiled at him, for the first time, and replied, “It is good to hear that from you.”.   Mokuba added, “Yeah! Its good to see that someone else has seen the light!”. Solomon looked at them, a grateful smile on his face and his spark of life fully returning!   “I’m also glad to see that my grandson is okay, and in capable hands!”, he said gratefully. He then asked if he could come again and check up on Yugi. The two guardians said that it was, and Solomon felt like a great weight had been lifted off his chest.   “Come, let’s see on what Yugi is up to now!”, he suggested. It was the first time in a long while that he felt happy and glad again. They agreed with him, and the five sat down on the couch, watching their little hero having fun.   It was a blast at Sodina’s house! Laughter emitting from the walls like nothing else! Yugi was having a great time, and he was enjoying himself greatly! Food was in plenty, the mood and atmosphere was excellent, and also friends were there to make him feel alive once again. “This is just too good to be true!”, he said to himself.   Everyone was cheering and celebrating, the occasion of welcoming Yugi into the group as well as the beginning of his new quest! All of them were now at the table eating and talking, Yugi being at the head of it. On his left side was Kyleen, on his right was Nelsha. Both girls had been talking to him for most of the time, and he was getting a bit nervous.   “I hope I know what I’m doing.”, he told himself. When the party was dying down and night came, everyone was cleaning up the place.   Yugi was helping Sodina clear the table, and he then asked her, “Sodina, can I ask you something?”.   She looked at him with a warm smile and answered, “Of course. What is it?”.   Yugi took a deep breath and asked, “I was wondering if… tonight… me and you could…”, he started to say. He was nervous, and was tapping his two fingers together.   Sodina asked, “If what?”.   Yugi then blushed bright red and finished, “Could go out on a date?”. Sodina was very much surprised to hear this, but soon realized that Meis must have done this.   ‘Must have given him some dating tips, and how much important it was to his training.’, she reasoned in her mind. She saw Yugi’s blushing face, and saw that it was his first time asking someone out.   She smiled warmly at him and answered, “I love to.”.   Yugi looked at her in amazement and disbelief. “Really?!”, he asked, hope in his tone.   She giggled at this and answered, “Yes. Besides, you seem very cute to go out with.”. His blush increased by that compliment!   He bowed to her, saying, “Thank you very much! I’ll get ready right now!”. He then bolted upstairs, surprising everyone that was working downstairs. Kyleen, Nelsha, and Wyna went to Sodina.   Kyleen asked, “What was that all about?”.   Sodina had a faint blush on her face and answered, “Yugi… just asked me out tonight on a date.”.   All of them had a look of surprise on their face and shouted, “WHAT?!”.   Sodina laughed a bit at this and said, “Yes. Yugi and I have a date tonight.”. Wyna had a smile on her face, sensing that this was Yugi’s first time asking out a girl. Nelsha and Kyleen, however, were shocked at this. They were hoping Yugi would ask one of them out first.   “Well, I better get ready.”, she said. She calmly walked out of the kitchen, a sweet smile on her face, and she headed upstairs. Meis was very glad to see that his student had taken his first step towards dating.   “I know he’ll do good tonight.”, he said to himself as he and the rest continued to clean the house.   Upstairs, Yugi was getting ready for his first date. He got showered, cleaned up, and also wore the right outfit for this occasion. He was wearing his blue school uniform, which really looked great on him. ‘Besides, all the other stuff I brought with me is not going to do good this time.’, he said to himself as he looked in the mirror.   He was really nervous about this, and he wanted to make a good impression tonight. After seeing that he did his best to look good for Sodina, he went out of his room and went downstairs. Once there, he was greeted with congratulations and pats from his friends.   “Have a good time, Yugi!”, Muza told him.   Wyna added, “Yeah! You two have a great time out there!”.   Soushi said, “Treat her well, young one.”.   Yugi told him, “I will, that I promise!”.   Meis patted him on the back and said, “I know you will, bro! I know you will!”. When Yugi saw Kyleen and Nelsha, however, his grinning face dropped. He saw the anger and hurt in their eyes.   ‘Well, I didn’t mean to hurt them. I’ll date them soon, but I thought that I’d ask Sodina first. I would like to get to know her better, and I also like to clear something up as well’, he reasoned to himself.   He was snapped out of his thinking, however, when Sodina came downstairs. She looked beautiful to him. She was wearing clean clothes, the same she wore earlier when they first met. “Ready to go, Yugi?”, she asked him sweetly.   He replied, “Yes. Let’s go!”. He opened the front door for her, and the two left the house.   It was a warm and beautiful night, the stars shining like diamonds and the moon full and illuminating the night. Not a single cloud was there to block the serene grace of the night. Down in Boyzby, Yugi was walking besides Sodina, both strolling down the streets of the town. Not many people were out, so they were basically alone. The lighted street posts glowed softly, setting up a romantic atmosphere. Yugi was a bit nervous, his first date and all. Sodina noticed this, and she giggled at this.   ‘He looks so cute when he’s nervous!’, she thought to herself.   “So, Yugi? Where are you taking me tonight?”, she asked him.   Yugi looked at her and answered, “Oh, well. I was thinking if we go to the Airport. There are some benches there, and a good view of all the stars.”. Sodina smiled at him and the two walked towards the Airport. It took about ten minutes to get there, but it was a good walk.   When they got there, they saw that it was totally deserted. The airship was gone, and there was no one around. Crickets chirped softly, the moon becoming the only light source and some falling stars putting on a show for them. When they sat down, it was like they were both walking into a peaceful dream.   “So, would you like to talk about something?”, Sodina asked Yugi.   He nodded and said, “Yes. I would like to get to know you better.”.   He then asked, “How is your family like?”.   Sodina sighed and answered, “I don’t know. My parents died when I was young, and Jyabil was the only family I had left. He died last year.”.   Yugi had a surprised look on his face, then it changed to a sorrowful one. “I’m sorry.”, he simply said.   Sodina looked at him and smiled. She assured him that it was okay. “What else would you like to know?”, she inquired.   Yugi took in a deep breath and replied, “Yes. I was wondering if you can tell me something about these Sacred Alters and Elemental Beasts.”.   She nodded her head and said, “Of course I’ll tell you. I figured you might want to know.”. So, she started her explanation.   “First, the Sacred Alters.”, she stated. Yugi gave her his undivided attention.   “Sacred Alters are altars that were created long ago by the Masters, people who were experts in their field. There are six in all, each one scattered and hidden across the world. Each Alter held a Holy Flame of the Light, a sacred flame that held great Elemental Power. In the flames dwelled powerful spirits, one so powerful that they assumed a beast-like form. Thus, known as the Elemental Beasts.”, Sodina stated.   She continued, “Only ones with a pure heart and mind, also the ability to ‘walk’ with the spirits, are able to fully wield and take the Holy Flame and tame the Elemental Beasts.”. Yugi was very much surprised on how these Sacred Alters were created and used.   “Now, for the Elemental Beasts.”, Sodina said. Yugi was hanging on every word that she said.   She started, “As you just heard, Elemental Beasts are spirits with incredible power. There are the Elemental Beasts of Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Light, and Darkness.”.   She continued on, “The Elemental Beast of Water is Aquoon, a powerful dragon that can summon a massive whirlpool of water to defeat enemies. The Elemental Beast of Earth is Fiednod, a beautiful woman that put enemies to sleep before slicing them with a huge whirlwind.”.   Yugi was confused about this part and he interrupted her briefly, “A woman?!”.   Sodina saw his expression and laughed a little. She said, “Yes. Even though she looked like a human woman, she was still an Elemental Beast.”. Yugi understood this and allowed her to continue.   She did continue, “The Elemental Beast of Fire is Flareniel, a human man that scorches enemies with blazing fire. The Elemental Beast of Wind was Raou, a wolf-like creature that can strike all enemies with a blast of wind. The Elemental Beast of Light is Golda, a massive snake-like creature that looked like three snakes fused together. It attacked all with a blinding flash of golden light. And finally, there is the Elemental Beast of Darkness. That is Odnis Organ, a black dragon-like creature that attacks all with scarlet rays.”.   She finished, “These were powerful forces, ones that Meis once controlled. But, after he defeated the Emperor, he returned them all to their rightful places.”.   Yugi was amazed on what he had just heard. He stated, “Wow! Thank you for telling me this, Sodina.”.   She smiled warmly at him and replied, “You’re welcome, Yugi.”. Both now just stared at the sky, the falling stars making it a very relaxing mood. After a few moments of silence, Yugi decided to take some action.   He looked at her and asked, “What is your dream, Sodina?”.   She looked at him and answered, “My dream… is to live with the Elemental Spirits.”.   She explained, “My brother Jyabil always said that if you live with the spirits, they will understand you and you’ll have a peaceful life.”.   Yugi smiled at her and stated, “It seems to have come true. I mean, you have Meis and all of us here with you.”.   Sodina smiled right back at him and said, “You’re right. Thank you, Yugi.”.   Sodina then asked him, “Yugi, did you ever fall in love with someone back home?”. Yugi’s face now had a very hurt and sorrowful expression.   He answered in a low voice, “Once. I fell in love with my best friend, Téa Gardner. She was a good friend to me, always by my side and sticking up for me against bullies. But, that soon all changed.”.   Sodina now felt sorry for the young man. He continued, “Shortly after Yami separated from me, things began to change. I told her on how I felt, but… she just slapped me hard and said that she could never love a weak little boy like me. That’s when she decided to go out with Tristen, my other best friend. I didn’t feel bitter or anything when they went out. Just… sad about the way she rejected me.”.   Some tears started to form, but he tried to hold them back. Sodina was shocked that someone would do such a thing to Yugi. She hugged him tightly and whispered, “Sorry, for bringing it up.”.   Yugi got a hold of himself and stared at Sodina. He forced a small smile and replied, “Its okay. Thank you for saying it, anyway.”.   The two then talked about other stuff, like their dreams and goals in life. Yugi said that he wanted to be a great Duelist, and Sodina already told her dream. They told the other a bit about their adventures, which surprised the other very much. Soon, they saw that it was getting late. Yugi stood up, and helped Sodina from the bench gentleman-style.   “Sorry if we didn’t do much tonight, Sodina.”, he said softly.   She smiled at him, then gave him a good, long kiss on the cheek. After a few moments, she released him from the kiss and said, “Its all right. This was still a great date! Just being with you was good enough.”.   Yugi blushed a bright red at this. Soon, the two started to walk back to her home. The moon was their light now, the bright blue light guiding them through the streets. Suddenly, something happened! Four people emerged from some bushes, three men and one lady! They were dressed ragged and looked tough. The three men wore dark blue vest, no shirt on, and dark black pants. Their black hair was messed up, spiky in some places. They had narrow eyes, the left eye squinted down low and the right eye wide open. They were about 6’4, and around 28 years old.   The lone lady was another story altogether. She had a pink mini-skirt on, dark pantyhose, and looked around 25 years old. She had short blue hair, narrowed black eyes, and also a mean look on her face. “Well, well. Look what we have here. A couple out for a lovely stroll!”, one of the thugs stated.   Yugi went in front of Sodina, intent on keeping her from harm. ‘I may not have my sword, but I’ll do what I can to protect Sodina from them!’, he said to himself as the four ugly’s moved in closer.   “Lookie here! Little boy here thinks he can take us on!”, the lady declared. They all laughed at this. Yugi was thinking quickly on what to do. Seeing he didn’t have his weapon with him, he saw the next best thing. He picked up a large wooden branch that was behind him, and studied it carefully.   ‘Not a sword, but it’ll have to do.’, he told himself. The branch was hard and sturdy, not to mention light. It would have to do at the moment.   He turned his attention back to the goons and he yelled, “Back off! I really don’t want to hurt any of you!”.   The four just stared at him dumbly, then started to laugh loudly! “Did you hear him?! ‘Hurt us’?! Please! That’s got to be the funniest thing I have ever heard!”, one of the men laughed out loud.   Yugi still kept close to Sodina, sensing that the four were going to ignore his warning and attack. He was going to make sure Sodina was kept unharmed. The lady then shouted, “Get ‘em!!”. They all charged in, and that’s when Yugi busted out!   Two men cam up to him and threw a hard punch, intent on connecting with his face. However, Yugi ducked and the two fists connected with the others face! One of them was knocked down to the ground, while the other was dazed. Yugi took the opportunity to go down low, and swiped the branch underneath the dazed thug’s feet. He tripped and fell down, knocking him out. The other guy, the one that was just hit, slowly got back up.   Yugi was in front of him, ready for another attack. The last goon came up from behind, attempting a cheap shot. Yugi, however, saw it coming and sidestepped to the left. The idiot ran into the other one, sending both sprawling towards a nearby tree. The impact of the crash was enough to knock them both out. Yugi was relieved that the three men were out. Now, his concern was with the lady thug.   “Looks like you got lucky, punk! Not against me!”, she declared. Yugi would never hit a women, even if she did hit him. He had to find a way to defend himself and Sodina without striking her. Suddenly, the lady attacked! She ran towards them, fists up and ready to pound! Yugi saw another opportunity and took it. He waited until the right moment, and he ducked under quick! He used the branch and swiped it underneath the running woman’s legs.   Her own momentum was used against her, as she tripped and fell down hard. Yugi rose up, and so did the woman thug. Although she got up slowly, she was still ready to kill. “That was you last mistake, you freak!”, she screeched. She was about to attack, when a loud whack was made! A large tree branch connected with her head, making her drop out-cold. Yugi looked up in surprise and saw Sodina over the woman, also wielding a tree branch.   He went over to her and breathed out gratefully, “Thank you, Sodina.”.   She smiled at him and replied, “You’re welcome. You did pretty good, Yugi.”.   She then added, “I would like to go out with you again. You’re a very interesting date.”. She then looked all around to where the thugs were knocked out. Yugi did the same, and a small chuckle came out.   “Yeah. I guess you’re right.”, he said. The two laughed a little, then started back for home. The put down the branches, as well as put the thugs together in one place. Sodina said that by morning, they would have waken up. It was a very interesting night indeed.   When they came back home, they saw that everyone was asleep. Sodina once again thanked Yugi for the wonderful evening, and gave him another kiss. He blushed bright red at this, and said that it was his pleasure. The two then went upstairs and went to bed. Yugi was very much pleased that his first date was good.   “Could have been better without the four creeps, but can’t be helped.”. he said to himself. He felt really good, and he soon drifted off to a peaceful sleep. Meanwhile, Sodina was thinking the same thing.   “Yugi is really something. He’s a very good man to be with on a date.”, she said to herself.   She then added sadly, “Too bad that Téa hurt his feelings. I think she was a complete fool to do that to him.”. Sighing, she too drifted off in a peaceful slumber. It was an interesting night for all!   Meanwhile, Ishizu and Shadi were watching the scene with much interest. Solomon, Serenity, and Mokuba had to go back so the others wouldn’t see that they were missing. They did, however, agree to tell the three about Yugi’s date. “I wonder how Solomon is going to act now around Yami.”, Shadi wondered.   Ishizu suggested, “Maybe he’ll throw him out after all he’s done to his grandson.”.   Shadi then closed his eyes in thinking and replied, “I don’t know about that. Yami may use his powers to try and manipulate Solomon or erase his memory of the entire thing.”.   Ishizu saw on where he was getting at, and also concentrated as well. “Well, we’ll have to talk to him about this tomorrow. Right now, let’s go to bed.”, she said.   She sat up with a yawn, very tired indeed. Shadi rose and soon followed her to where the bedrooms where. Saying goodnight to each other, the two went to their rooms and nearly instantly fell asleep. Tomorrow was going to be a most interesting and exciting day for them all!   Morning came, and sun’s rays were very welcoming to all. It was 7:30 a.m. when everyone rose up from their slumber. Yugi was the first awake, the memory of his first date fresh in his mind. A small grin was on his face and he whispered, “That was a very good first date! I hope to improve my choice in taking a date.”.   He got up and started to get dressed. After that, he stepped outside to the hallway. He saw Meis exit out of his room, still dressed in his pajamas. He then turned and saw Sodina also come out, wearing a pink nightgown. Yugi blushed at this and quickly turned away, not to offend her by staring.   She saw him, and giggled. “Good morning, Yugi.”, she greeted sweetly.   He turned around slowly and replied, “Good morning too, Sodina.”. He then went downstairs, his face a deep crimson. Meis saw this, even through sleepy eyes.   He slowly went to Sodina and asked her, “I take it your date with Yugi went well?”.   She smiled and said, “You’ll find out at breakfast. Come on, I’ll make a good breakfast today”. The two then went downstairs together, Meis in anticipation to hear on how his pupil did. The two heard chattering, and when they came down saw Yugi talking with some of the others that had just woken up from their slumber as well.   Muza slapped Yugi on the back while saying, “Come on, Yugi! Tell us what happened on your first date with Sodina!”.   Wyna joined in, “Yeah, come on! I want to know what you two did!”.   Soushi also put in, “Indeed. In fact, I heard and saw that you two came back home rather late.”. Yugi was blushing a deep red at this. However, two people were standing far from the group. It was Kyleen and Nelsha, both standing far away from them and having a look of annoyance on their faces. Their annoyance went up to the next level of jealousy when they heard Soushi’s comment!   “Why did they come home last night?!”, Kyleen whispered to herself angrily.   Nelsha caught wind of it and she replied, “Nelsha don’t know, but we gonna find out!”. Sodina told them all to go to the kitchen table and sit down.   “I’m going to make breakfast today, so you seven can talk to Yugi about our date over at the table.”, she told them. They agreed, and when all were seated down, the conversation struck up again!   “So, how did it go, Yugi?”, Meis asked him. Yugi took a deep breath and answered, “Well, I took Sodina to some benches near the Airport. We sat down and watched the stars in the clear night, seeing some falling stars shower down.”.   Muza then had sported a huge grin and asked eagerly, “Was that all?!”. Yugi knew on what he meant, and he sported a smirk of his own.   “Sorry, Muza. It didn’t go as you thought.”, he told them. Muza’s grin faded a bit, but Kyleen and Nelsha looked greatly relived.   Yugi continued, “I asked her to tell me about these ‘Sacred Alters’ and ‘Elemental Beasts’ you guys kept mentioning. So, she told me everything.”.   Sodina, from the kitchen, called out, “That’s true. I told him everything I knew about them.”.   Meis inquired, “Did you like what you heard?”.   Yugi nodded and answered, “Very much. She even told me that you controlled the Elemental Beasts, and handled them pretty well.”.   Meis then showed a smile of pride and he said, “Yeah, I sure did! No one else could handle them, but me!”. The others rolled their eyes at this, except Yugi.   “After that, we talked a little about ourselves. It was pretty good, especially when the stars were showering with falling stars everywhere and the moon full and bright!”, Yugi finished.   Meis, Muza, and Wyna gave the little hero a little smirk and said, “Way to go, Yugi!”.   Soushi merely bowed a little and said, “Not bad for your first date, young one.”.   Kyleen and Nelsha forced a small smile and said, “Yeah. Great work on your first date.”.   Yugi thanked them, and that was when breakfast was served. Sodina told them, “It would have been better… if we weren’t ambushed by some thugs.”.   “WHAT?!”, all of them exclaimed.   Yugi merely shook his head and said, “Calm down, calm down!”. It took awhile, but they did.   Sodina explained, “After giving Yugi a kiss on the cheek, we decided to head back home. However, we ran into some pretty nasty thugs. Yugi protected me, however, and defeated them all. I helped a little with one of them.”.   She then looked at Yugi, smiled, and commented, “He was pretty brave. He used a tree branch as a weapon, and defeated those goons!”. Now, everyone was looking at the little warrior, a sheepish grin on his face and looking somewhat humble.   He told them, “I-It was nothing, really! I just wanted to make sure Sodina wasn’t hurt.”.   Meis gave him a grateful look and said, “Thank you, Yugi.”. The others congratulated him on his victory against the thugs. He accepted them good-naturedly. Smiling, Sodina continued to serve the meal to all. Once they were all served, she sat down in her chair and also prepared to eat.   “Everyone, a toast to Yugi!”, Meis declared.   They raised their glasses, and all shouted, “To Yugi!!”. Clinking their glasses together, a toast was raised to the soon-to-be legendary hero! After that, they all started to dig in!   Back in Egypt, Ishizu and Shadi said the same thing. They toasted their little friend while eating their meal. “Yeah! Yugi deserves this kind of treatment!”, Ishizu declared.   Shadi nodded his head slightly and replied, “I agree. It looks like Yugi’s rewards of his past deeds are now catching up to him.”. Soon, they all heard a telepathic call. It was Serenity!   “Serenity? What is it?”, Ishizu inquired.   She got a call back, “School is cancelled today, due to heavy rain! Can we come to your place? You know, me, Mokuba, and Mr. Moto?”.   Shadi then asked, “Are you with Yami and the others?”.   Serenity replied, “No. I’m just here at home with my brother, who is still sleeping.”.   After some thought, Ishizu said, “Alright. We’ll teleport you first, then the others.”. Serenity thanked them, they said that she was standing by to be teleported. Ishizu and Shadi rose from their seats, and concentrated their powers again. A while later, a flash of bright white light flooded the room. It lasted for a few seconds, then died down. Out stepped Serenity, dressed in a pink dress and a green mini-skirt.   “Hi!”, she greeted them warmly. They smiled and greeted her too as well.   “Now, for the others!”, Shadi declared. Once again, they concentrated. Soon, Mokuba was on the scene. He appeared next to Serenity, looking a bit dazed.   “Whoa! Where am I?”, he asked. He soon saw Ishizu and Shadi, and knew on where he was.   “Oh, hi. I wasn’t expecting to be teleported today.”, he told them with a sarcastic smirk on his face.   Ishizu returned the gesture and said, “I believe you have Serenity to thank for that. She’s the one who suggested bringing you here.”.   The boy turned to look at Serenity, who gave him a small smile and said, “Sorry. Should have asked you first.”.   Mokuba smiled and replied, “It’s alright. It was going to be boring at home, with Seto gone and all to work.”. Soon, Solomon Moto was brought there. He was wondering on where he was, like Mokuba, until he saw the two former guardians.   “Oh, my! That was quite a trip!”, he exclaimed. The old life and vitality were once again brimming within him.   “Good to see you all again.”, Shadi told them. They said likewise, then Serenity asked on what was the situation with Yugi. Ishizu led them back to the living room, and there they all saw Yugi and company eating.   “Have we got something to tell you!”, she told them all.   Back in the Thousand Arms world, Yugi and the others were eating heartily. In twenty minutes, they were all done. Meis said, “Thanks for the breakfast, Sodina.”. She said that it was no problem.   Meis continued, “We’re going to need all of our strength today for today’s trip!”. All of them now looked at Meis, sensing the seriousness in his voice.   Wyna inquired, “What do you mean? Where are we going?”.   Meis answered, “We’re going to the Lucent Caves. Its about 55 miles west from here, so it could take about five or six days to get there.”.   Muza asked, “Why are we going there in the first place?!”.   He answered, “To let Yugi meet Aquoon, of course.”. Yugi did not believe on what he just heard! Meis saw his shocked expression, and smiled.   He then explained to him, “Yes. Yugi, I’m now relinquishing my role as leader of this group to you. Now, you have the ability to talk to and summon the Elemental Beasts within the Sacred Alters! Your new quest starts today!”. Yugi had a look of surprise and shock on his face.   “T-This is incredible!”, he exclaimed.   Meis smirked and replied, “You bet! We leave today, at 10:00 a.m.!”. Everyone around congratulated Yugi on his new role as leader.   “You’ll do fine, kiddo!”, Muza exclaimed.   Wyna gave Yugi a high-five and said, “You’re going to be great, Yugi!”.   Soushi gave a little bow and said, “Leadership is a very important role, filled with responsibility. But, I have confidence that you will live up to it.”.   Kyleen hugged Yugi from behind, squeezing him hard, but gently. “Way to go, Yugi! You’re going to do great!”, she said. She released her hug on Yugi, who turned and gave a small grin to her.   Nelsha went up and also gave Yugi a hug. “Nelsha know you’re going to be good leader!”, she added. Sodina walked up to Yugi, and gave him a warm smile.   “Nelsha is right, Yugi. You are going to be a good leader.”, she told him. Yugi was blushing immensely at all of their praises. After a while, Meis quieted them down.   “Let’s start to prepare for your journey!”, he told them all. They all agreed with him.   Meis turned to Yugi and said, “Yugi, you and Sodina come with me.”. Meis then headed towards the smithy, Yugi and Sodina soon following. Before he entered he asked everyone to give their weapons to him. They obliged, then they soon went off to gather some supplies. Turning his attention back to the duo, Meis told them to follow him into the smithy. They did.   Back in Egypt, everyone was in an uproar! They too were celebrating Yugi’s passed-down role as leader! “Man, after hearing what he did last night, I think he could become a great leader!”, Serenity exclaimed.   Solomon looked at the mirror proudly and replied, “I know he’ll become a good leader! After all, he’s from my side of the family!”.   Shadi chuckled and said, “No doubt about that! He will become a fine example of how a leader should be.”. He and Ishizu had told the trio the events of Yugi’s date earlier, and they were all surprised by it.   “I would have loved to go out with him, instead of Ryou!”, Serenity exclaimed.   Ishizu commented, “Same here! I know he would have been a wonderful date!”.   Mokuba then inquired, “You and Ryou having problems?”. Serenity suddenly had a dark look on her face. She answered, “Yes. He still hasn’t apologized for what he has done to Yugi, and refuses to do so.”. They all just shook their heads.   Solomon spoke, “I’m quite surprised by all of the information you gave me. I have no idea that Yami and the others treated my grandson so badly.”.   Shadi said, “And I suggest you do not do anything to Yami just yet, or confront him about it.”.   Solomon whirled around to face him and demanded, “Why not?! I should throw him out of the shop!”.   Shadi waited for him to calm down, which he did for awhile. Then he explained, “Yami might use his powers to manipulate you into making him stay, or erase your memories of this and allowing him to stay.”.   Ishizu added, “Until he has seen the light, tolerate him and make sure he doesn’t know you are on to him.”. Solomon groaned a bit, then he said that it will be done.   “Look! Something is happening!”, Mokuba exclaimed. Their attention was once again focused on the mirror.   In the smithy, Yugi was standing near the anvil. In the other side in front of him was Sodina, which was strange. Meis was watching from the sidelines. “Okay now. Yugi, take up your sword.”, Meis instructed. Yugi did so, pulling his sword from his sheath.   “Now Sodina, you know what to do.”, Meis told her. Sodina nodded, and waited.   Meis then said, “Yugi, this is the last of your training. Now, we begin to forge a sword with a girl’s Elemental Power.”. Yugi was more then ready to begin.   Meis then ordered, “Now, forge your sword on the anvil, exactly like the same in all of the other exercises we had!”. Yugi put his sword in the fire, and allowed it to heat up for ten minutes. Soon, the blade was glowing red-hot! He took it out, and put it on the anvil. When he lifted his new hammer and was about to strike the hot blade, Sodina did something. She kneeled down on one knee, hands folded up. It was like she was praying.   Suddenly, the sword started to glow in a soft golden light! This amazed Yugi, but Meis urged him to continue. He did, and he struck the sword! Repeatedly striking the sword, Yugi was hammering away! Fifteen minutes of pounding and shaping, Yugi was down. Sodina rose from her kneeling position, a small smile on her face. Yugi then went to the watering jugs, putting the blade in it. Steam rose up, filling the entire room. The ventilation fans in the room vacuumed the steam, venting it outside. When the steam cleared up, Yugi saw his sword!   It had a new luster to it, more shiny and also more powerful looking! He also felt some kind of new energy within it! “W-What just happened?!”, he exclaimed in surprise.   Meis chuckled and said, “Congrats, Yugi! You have imbued Sodina’s Elemental Power within your sword. The power of Light!”.   Sodina added, “You also have a new spell within it. Check it out.”. Yugi closed his eyes and concentrated. After a few moments, he opened his eyes.   “I have the magic spell, Heal!”, he declared.   Meis explained, “Heal is a magic spell that heals and restores a bit of energy to either you or one of your teammates. It can also be used to damage any undead-type enemies.”.   Sodina put in, “Just remember this; Magic draws its power from your own sword’s energy. If it used too much, you won’t have enough Elemental Power within it to use that spell again. So, use it sparingly.”.   Yugi nodded his head, saying that he would do as Sodina said. Then, Meis went to the rack and brought out Muza’s claymore. “You got a lot more forging to do, Yugi!”, he said with a little laugh in it.   Yugi groaned a little, then he took the massive sword (with some difficulty) and started to forge it. ‘Its going to be a long day!’, Yugi thought as he started to hammer away!   Forty-five minutes later, Yugi was finished. He wiped the sweat from his brow, the heat and the workout making him build up a lot. Sodina did the same, although she wasn’t sweating as much as he was. Yugi had instilled the Elemental Power of Light into all of the weapons, but he did something else to Sodina’s knife. When he forged it, it glowed a bright, deep golden color!   Meis explained that he had now put in a magic spell, and a special attack move! It was D. Knives or Dancing Knives for short. Meis congratulated Yugi again for a good job. “Now, both of you take a shower to freshen up.”, he said.   Yugi was more then obliged, but he said that Sodina should go first. She thanked him, then she left the room. Taking up the weapons, Yugi carried them over to the living room. Exiting the fiery chamber, he strolled into the cool room. He laid the weapons down on the floor, one by one. After that, he went upstairs to wait for Sodina to finish her shower. He soon waited by the door, for about ten minutes.   Soon, Sodina emerged with a towel around her head and waist. Yugi quickly turned around not to see her, being a gentleman and all. “Your turn, Yugi.”, she told him before she disappeared into her room.   Yugi breathed a sigh of relief, then entered the bathroom. Soon, a loud yelp came out from it! Apparently, Sodina’s shower took all of the hot water from it, leaving only cold water for Yugi! But, he got used to it and continued to bathe. Fifteen minutes later, he also emerged with only a small towel around his waist. Making sure no one else was in the hall, he quickly went to his room and slammed it shut.   Sodina and Yugi emerged back from upstairs, in clean clothes and looking totally refreshed! Yugi went over and picked up his Y. Sword, and Sodina also went to retrieve her Knife. Sheathing the weapons, the two sat on the couch and waited. Few minutes later, Wyna and the others entered the house. They were carrying some white bags, containing supplies and medicines.   “Hey, our weapons!”, Muza exclaimed.   They all went over and examined their tools. “They seem to have been improved.”, Soushi stated.   “Yeah. They look more stronger and also better looking!”, Wyna added. Yugi sat up and said that he had forged them, using Sodina’s Elemental Power.   “Thank you very much, Yugi!”, Kyleen exclaimed. They all thanked him. Soon, Meis emerged from upstairs. Seemed he also took a shower shortly after Yugi.   “I know it’s early, but how about we hit the road now?”, Meis suggested.   Muza replied, “Only if its okay with our new leader.”.   All eyes were now on Yugi. “Well, what do you say, Yugi?”, Wyna inquired. Yugi closed his eyes, in thought for a moment. Then, he opened his eyes and a smirk was on his face.   “Let’s… do it!!”, he shouted out! It was now on! They all cheered and soon vacated the building, all of them excited about the new quest they were on! It has begun!   (Author Notes: Well, how do you like this little number? Did you all like on how Yugi fought off those thugs?   Darien: As the new leader, think Yugi will take his friends/comrades far? Finally, which Elemental Beast is most suited for Yugi? My vote is Odins Organ, the Elemental Beast of Darkness.   R&R, no flames, enjoy, and leave long reviews!)
