Click. Whirr. "Good morning Professor."
"Good morning Cain. I have a surprise for you." Professor Herald Goodings
pulled an extremely decorative piece of paper with a U.S. seal on the bottom of it and
displayed to to the computer that was the Central Artificial Intelligence Network, or Cain.
"The U.S. government has decided to hook up all its computers to the number one
Artificial Intelligence network, you."
"And what will my main purpose be for this job."
"You will be designing weapons for the most part, however you will also serve as
an advisor to the President of the United States of America! This must be one of the
greatest achievements of our lives."
"That it is, Professor, that it is."

"Now, Cain, I'm heading over to another laboratory across town to touch up on some research I've been doing with my colleagues there. While I'm gone, I'd like you to look up some fictional reading material. Some novels would be a good idea."

"What would you recommend, Professor?"

"Try some books by Mark Twain, or George Lucas. Oh I know here is a good author, J. R. R Tolkein! Try some of his books!"

"Very well, I will, Professor. See you around."

"See you." And with that Dr. Goodings left the lab.

network for Artificial Intelligence. And to
think that I once thought that emotions would be
a weakness for a computer. Cain's main purpose
for the United States Government will be weapons
design and manufacturing. I would have loved to deny the offer, but I cannot afford to do so,
besides, Cain seems excited about this
opportunity. He has already developed a hand-held rail gun and come up with a power source that is very well near perfect. Ah, if only there were no more
wars, and man could find peace, then this would not be required, and I
could live a happy life.
