"Just hear those sleigh bells ringling, ting ting tingling too...!
Come on it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you! La la
lalalalalalalalala too...!"

"Uh, Selphie...I don't think you're singing it right..." Irvine
watched the over-enthusiastic Tilmitt prancing around the halls. She
had been through about three Christmas songs in a minute, and he hated
to see how many there would be before they actually reached the
dormitories.

"Giddyup, Giddyup, Giddyup let's go. Let's play in the snow..." Zell
had also joined in, and naturally, he didn't know any of the words
either.

The sharpshooter sighed heavily, reaching up to pull the brim of his
cowboy hat over his face. Perhaps if he shielded it enough, no one
would notice he was there. It made him want to disappear even more
once the other two began to sing 'Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer' with
Selphie taking the main chorus and Zell adding in, here and there, the
little comments that went along with the song. He began to look toward
the barrel of his gun more thoughtfully than he should have ever done,
though luckily it wasn't long after the reindeer shouted out with glee
("YIPPEE!" Zell had been more than eager to yell out) that they made
it down to the dorms.

Irvine quickly stepped up to prevent them from singing anymore, "Now
which room is Seifer's?"

Zell clenched his fists and began to punch at midair, "I don't
know...but he better not call me Chicken Wuss when we get there,
BABY!"

"Maybe we should like...call him? I'm sure he would hear us if we
shouted loud enough..." Selphie nodded rapidly.

"No, we gotta sneak up on him. The element of surprise is always the
best way to attack for a sharpshooter like me..." He raised his gun to
show it off, pumping it to make sure it was ready, and accidentally
firing at the ceiling.

All three spared a quick glance toward the hole in the roof, and they
heard a few screams coming from the second floor. Irvine grinned
sheepishly, and quickly stuffed his rifle back where it would be safe.
Zell cleared his throat casually, and then pointed toward the rooms.

"I think I know which one his is...come on, follow me!"

The other two did, and walked along with Zell until they were led into
an empty dormitory. He turned on the light for them, and they all
glanced around the area. Dincht, appearing the most perplexed of all,
scratched the side of his head lightly, and looked behind the dresser.
Once he realized Seifer wasn't there, he made his way back toward
them.

"I coulda sworn he was in here, baby!"

"Hm, now where are we supposed to look?!" Selphie hung her head. "At
this rate I'll never get my megaphone back. And we'll never find out
where exactly Seifer brought Quisty's body when he killed her.
Booyaka! What a day..."

"Uh, Zell..." Irvine stepped further in the room, pulling some sort of
magazine off the bed.

"Yeah?" The energetic fighter glanced over as he was addressed.

"This is YOUR room," Irvine blatantly pointed to the title of the
magazine which read 'Combat King' across the front.

"Oh yeah! I knew it looked familiar..."

"Why...would you think Seifer would be in your room?" Irvine, who
thought Zell couldn't be anymore stupid, had gotten proved wrong once
again.

"I don't know, baby! Just had a hunch or something...damn GFs making
me forget..."

"Booyaka! We're not going to find him just standing around
here...let's go look in another one!" Selphie stepped out of her room,
and began searching the rooms.

It took a while for them to get off the elevator, but when they did,
Raijin was lingering so closely behind Fujin that he kept stepping on
the ends of her boots. This forced the one-eyed posse member to grit
her teeth and prepare to turn around to beat Raijin upside the head
with her Shuriken. But, she managed to calm herself down until the
next time it happened. About five more times of stepping on those
boots, she whipped around and delivered a swift kick to his shin.

"RAGE!"

"Ow!" Raijin yelped and whimpered, nursing his aching leg.

"IN FRONT!" She pointed ahead of herself, motioning that, that was
where he was going to walk.

"B-But, Fujin! I'm scared in here, ya know?"

Fujin's expression didn't waver, and she enforced her point by
stomping her foot. With a few whines, he stepped out in front of her
and then began to walk forward. Cautious glances were spared around
himself, and he kept looking over his shoulder to make sure she was
following him still. Sure enough, she was. He let out a breath of
relief, but upon hearing a roar in the distance, Raijin screamed and
ducked behind Fujin immediately. The silver-haired girl narrowed her
eye, and then glanced off toward the nearly vacant clearing in front
of them. All of a sudden, a geezard came bounding out. This made Fujin
even more angry. The fact that it had been such a pathetically
easy-to-defeat enemy and not some sort of T-Rexaur, yet still scared
Raijin to death was one of the most irritating things about this
situation. She stormed forward, and gave a kick to the creature with
the end of her toe. It rolled over on it's back and twitched violently
until it disappeared into the ground.

"Whoa, Fujin! You're really strong, ya know?"

"IDIOT!" She glared, and then pointed ahead of herself again. "FRONT!
"

"A-all right, but could you still fight all the monsters, ya know...?
I'm kinda scared to do it, ya know...?" Raijin fumbled childishly with
his large necklace.

"FRONT, NOW!"

"O-okay...you don't gotta get all mad, ya know?" Raijin slowly stepped
in front of her and lead the way down the dark corridor. They walked
in silence. Silence that Fujin found rather pleasant until Raijin
disturbed it again. "How far are we supposed to take this thing
anyway, ya know? I mean, we could just leave it here and go now,
right? Ya know?"

"DON'T KNOW. SEIFER..." She paused, deciding she couldn't put it in a
choppy sentence the way she liked to talk, and just spoke normally.
"Seifer wanted it somewhere down here. Around NORG, like you said."

"Aw, man...that means I gotta walk in front the entire way there?
Couldn't ya just...lead the way a little bit, ya know?"

"RAGE!" Kick. And this kick was delivered painfully to the back of
Raijin's leg instead.

Raijin stumbled and then sighed with defeat, trudging forward
carefully. He clutched the megaphone tightly, allowing his gaze to
dart around the room. In the distance he saw a large shadow move, and
as they neared it...that shadow took the shape and form of a T-Rexaur.
His eyes widened, and he looked back toward Fujin quickly.

"Uh...uh...Fuj...what...do we do now, ya know...?"

Apparently, Fujin herself was scared by this creature, which she
leaned over to say a bit quieter than normal, "RUN."

And they turned to do so, only to find it too late. The monster's tail
swung violently toward the pillar nearby, forcing it to shatter and
various rubble to descend upon them both.

Believe it or not, the kiss between Seifer and Quistis continued that
entire time. Though, it was broken immediately after hearing Selphie's
voice echoing throughout the hall. Both flew apart quickly, and
Quistis wiped her mouth as though she had just been given cooties or
something along those lines. Seifer was doing the same thing, only
making a much more dramatic show of it. Upon his hand, he noticed
smears of pink lipstick, and then snarled. Pink lipstick would not be
worn by Seifer Almasy!

"What do you think you were doing?!" Seifer nearly growled.

"Me?! You were the one who started it!" Quistis narrowed her eyes.

"Did not!"

"Did too!"

"Did not!"

The instructor was about to respond with another 'did too,' but she
decided it would be far too childish, and she was the mature one after
all, "Well, it doesn't matter all that much, does it? It was a simple
kiss...nothing extraordinary. I bet you've kissed plenty of girls."

"Yeah, that's right! Didn't mean nothing!"

"Anything..."

"Huh?"

Quistis shook her head, "Just correcting your speech. 'Didn't mean
anything' would be the proper way to say that..."

"Ugh! Get out of my room!"

"Not until you tell me where Fujin and Raijin are..." She crawled
forward, leaning over him.

Though, this probably wasn't a good idea. As soon as they were in a
compromising position again, just like they were magnets of some sort,
that kiss began. Soft touching of lips, growing a bit more aggressive
by the minute. But, this time they realized what they were doing and
separated from each other quickly.

"Stop doing that!" Seifer sneered.

"I'm not the only one -doing that-, Seifer Almasy!" Quistis spoke in a
rather as-a-matter-of-fact tone.

"Well, you obviously can't think I'm enjoying it or anything! I don't
like you...or any of your friends!"

"Seifer, just tell me where your 'posse' is and I'll leave before
anything else happens."

"Ugh, fine! They're going down to where NORG was before..."

"All right, thank you!" She shook her head. If they could have gotten
to the point sooner, she would have been much happier. Though, as she
went to leave the dorm, an announcement came over the loud speaker.

"Attention, attention! There's no need for alarm. Apparently two
students are trapped in the basement, but we'll be sending people down
to get them out as quick as possible...please stay calm..." Squall's
voice stated, and then faded out.

"WHAT?!" Seifer was obviously ignoring the words 'please stay calm.'

Quistis blinked and glanced over toward him with a soft sigh, "You
should go and help them Seifer, they're your friends."

"They're not friends! They're -posse-..." It was his time to correct
the instructor. And he felt rather pleased after he did it too.

"Well, whatever they are...you care about them, right? So, I'll help
you. I'll go and get Save-The-Queen, and we'll help get them out
together, all right?" She offered him a slight smile.

"Yeah, fine. But, I'm not working with you because of that kiss we
just had. That has absolutely nothing to do with it, ya know?" Seifer
twitched visibly, resolving to beat Raijin later after they saved him.

"I completely understand," Quistis grinned at his words.

Maybe this teamwork had a lot more to do with the kiss than he
thought. Maybe, just maybe, Seifer Almasy would be the cure to the
Christmas loneliness she was feeling. And there was nothing like going
out and killing a few monsters together to really bring two people
closer. After all, that was how Squall and Rinoa started to like each
other, right?
