Shigure looked at his child with pride. "He resembles me, ne Haa-san?" Hatori grinned at his cousin,
"Yes Shigure, he does indeed." Shigure smiled back at his cousin. Then a thoughtful look placed itself on his face. Hatori was quick to notice this and asked, "What's on your mind?"
"I was just thinking...what would he say if he ever saw my children?" Hatori sighed and placed a hand on Shigure's shoulder,
"Shigure, its been 20 years since we last saw that person. He's probably forgotten all about the Sohma by now...I wouldn't put it past him in all honesty." Shigure nodded and stared at his sleeping baby boy, who seemed to be getting better by the second; he resembled Akito far more than him and Akito resembled that person so much it was almost painful for Shigure.
"I wish I could just see him one more time, Ha'ri. He must miss us...he must miss HER." Hatori nodded at his cousin's back then spoke up,
"Oh well...on a happier note, we have yet another miracle in our lives; and I'm sure that your charming daughter is wondering where you are." Shigure chuckled softly,
"You're probably right," putting an arm about Hatori's shoulders he continued, "Let's go say goodbye to my wife and then head home." Hatori nodded his consent and allowed himself to be led from the room.

"Daddy, where's mommy?" Shikito asked her father. He smiled down at her inquisitive gaze,
"Mommy has to do some business for the family. She should be home later today or tomorrow." He lied to the child. An adorable smile lit up the child's face as she thrust her fist in the air and exclaimed,
"Do your best Mama!" Then she ran off to go play in the snow. Shigure smiled gently after her; then his ears picked up faint whimpering outside his office, so he decided to go investigate. He grinned wickedly when he saw who was there,
"Looking for me, Miyi?" he said nonchalantly to his weeping editor.
"YES!!! Shigure, you next book is due to the publishers tomorrow! Have you finished it?!?" Shigure took advantage of her hysterical state and joked with her,
"Of course I have Miyi, I just haven't put any of it down on paper." Miyi let out an exasperated scream.
"Shigure-kun, don't be so rude to Mit-chan." Mayu nagged as she opened the door to Shigure's office. He started to get pissed off that she had ruined his fun; through clenched teeth and a phony smile he responded to her,
"Mayu-chan, what were you doing in my office? Shouldn't you be at work? its only 3:30." he noted a brown envelope in her hand and he mentally kicked himself for leaving his manuscript out in the open.
"We got off early today for Christmas Holidays, Shigure. And I'm here because Hatori told me that he saw Mit-chan coming this way and warned me that you'd play nasty tricks on her..." her voice trailed off when she noticed that he wasn't paying attention to her, but to the security monitor in his office, "Are you listening to me, Shigure-kun?" Never removing his gaze from the monitor and the person on camera he replied absent-absentmindedly,
"Hm? did you say something Mayu-chan?"
"Forget it..." looking at Miyi, she thrust the brown envelope in her direction, "Here, Miyi, the manuscript." Miyi took the envelope gratefully,
"Thank-you Mayuko-san." Mayu smiled at her, they bowed to each other and Miyi left; Mayu was just about to say something to Shigure, when her cell phone rang. She contemplated answering it or talking to Shigure further; but Shigure decided for her, shoving her to the side, his temper suddenly changed to that of his wife from earlier that morning,
"You'd best answer that." With that and not a word more, he went into his office, slammed the door, and locked it. He sat in his chair with a heavy sigh, "Ha'ri, you ruin all my fun!"
