Chapter 2, Alchemist Unknown

Hey, second chapter upon request! Sorry for not uploading, but I had been busy with school! Well, here goes.

Ed: So, Katy, we're suppo-

Katlyn: DON'T EVER, EVER CALL ME KATY. MY NAME IS KATLYN.

A dead silence followed.

Ed was the one who broke the silence.

Ed: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! IT'S ONLY A NICKNAME!

Katlyn: If you ever call me that again, I shall have you beheaded!

Ed: ….

Al: Brother…

Ed: Yeah yeah, I know Ed.

King: …..Right…..and to the other side of me, is my wonderful wife, Sarah.

Sarah: Pleasure to meet you Full Metal.

Ed: The pleasure is mine.

Both the Elric's bowed and Katlyn let out a long sigh. Breakfast followed that.

Edward and Alphonse Elric, alone with Princess Katlyn Mithril out in the garden.

Katlyn: You don't have to follow me everywhere. It's quite awkward.

Ed: Actually, we were sent by the Military to-

Katlyn: Protect me? I don't need protecting. I'm fine on my own.

Ed: Can I ask a question?

Katlyn: Depends on the question.

Ed: Why do you hate the name Katy?

Katlyn: It was my mother's name.

Al: But wasn't that your mother inside?

Katlyn: Are you kidding? That witch? She's my step-mother! She took my life away. She's the one who is making me get married. And worst of all, she stole the book that mother gave me.

Al: What kind of book?

Katlyn: Why do you care?

Al: Maybe we could help look for it.

Ed: What are we Al, private investigators?

Al: Brother!

Ed: Yeah, whatever.

Katlyn: If you MUST know, it was a book of Alchemy.

Ed sat up hastily, staring straight at her. Al also looked curiously.

Katlyn: What? It was a book that had every type of Transmutation in it. I wanted to be an Alchemist like my mother, is that so bad?

Ed: Are you kidding? I've never even SEEN a female Alchemist. And I didn't expect YOU, of ALL people, to be an Alchemist!

Al: Brother, you're addressing the princess!

Ed: So what?

Katlyn: SHUT UP. I still want to be an Alchemist, but I need that book. If you can get it for me, I will reward you with things you never knew.

Ed: ….Like what?

Al: Brother, don't push it!

Ed: SHUT UP.

Katlyn: NO, YOU SHUT UP. Shame on you, yelling at your little brother! After all he's been through in his life!

Ed: You wouldn't know anything about what he's been through in life.

Katlyn: I know that he's the result of a human transmutation. His body was destroyed, so you attached his soul to a hunk of armor!

Ed: …..Come on Al, let's look for that book.

Al: …alright brother.

Katlyn: I can tell you how I know about your father too.

Al: What?

Ed: NOTHING AL. Come on, let's go.
