AN: A hughes x roy romantic fluff. As an author said, since most of their stories are
angsty, I decided to contribute a light hearted drabble!! I got the ideawhile watching
a horror film. Would you
believe that?? Well… IT’s true!! The film was a total flop & At that time, this very idea
kept me awake through out the whole darn film!! Trust me, it was a 3-hour torture!!
Anyways, this is what I came up with. So I Hope you like it!!I also put it up in FF.Net
under the name of ANIHUNY. You can also read it there!! ^_^
Summary:Sometimes,even the smallest of things can bring joy in one’s life……roy x maes……

Central headquarters; where various cases were being and had been solved. Where
countless hopes and aspirations of numerous individuals, wanting to serve their
country, had found expression.

Where there was hardly any time for others to stop their current assignments and
inquire about their friends and families. Well, at least for some, that is.

While the officers were literally buried under tons of paper works and those sort of
activities, there, in his office, a certain Colonel and his subordinate were busy
flattering each other. Over all, it was .

Now back to the said personnel; they were, for the time being, enjoying each other’s
company. The place they chose was also an ideal location to be fully engrossed in
themselves. Because who
would ever think of entering the colonel’s office without knocking? Especially when
there was a “Meeting In Progress - Do Not Disturb” sign already hanging from the
door knob?
“Oh Roy ! I love you.”
“I love you too, Maes.”
“Oh Roy !”
“Maes!”
“ Roy !”
“Maes!”
“ Roy .”
“Are you gonna keep on whispering like this? Or will you say something else?” At
last, Roy started getting pissed off.
And why not? This was all they had been doing the whole time. As much as it
sounded fluffy and romantic, it was getting sort of annoying.
“ Roy !”
“Quit saying my name already! Say something else! That is, if you have anything
else to say.”
“... But why? Don’t you like this cool office room, with you and me in it, sitting on
this lavish snow-white couch, seeing each other to our eyes content, holdi-”
“Just shut up!” Roy couldn’t handle the ongoing description about the current
atmosphere any more. It was becoming a pain in his ass. Sometimes, it made him
wonder why Hughes had joined the military in the first place; he’d surely have
earned great fame in the creative world.
Not that he always hated such descriptive speeches.

“And yes, I do like it in here. But...” Then came a blink from Hughes. He knew that
Roy was going to say something and that, perhaps, it wouldn’t be nice to hear.
“... However...” Roy continued, “... It does get boring when you do nothing except
call your partner by his name and keep saying that you love him.”
“Don’t you want to hear how much I care for you?” came the reply from a confused
Hughes.
“Not if I keep on hearing it for... oh... I don’t know... maybe for...” He paused a bit to
check his pocket watch for the exact duration of their so-called conversation. “...
Almost three hours?! Maes, seriously! What’s wrong with you?” Anger began to flare
one snap out of excitement and KABOOM- the entire HQ would lay in ruins; along
from the Flame Alchemist.Luckily, he didn’t have his ignition gloves, else who knows,
with may be some not-so-lucky officers.

“Well... is that a problem?” Hughes was totally confused. To him, not liking romantic
gushiness was just unthinkable. I mean, who in the world would not like fluffs ‘n’
hugs topped by a lush of kisses? It’s such a treat which everyone loves. Even ones like Roy Mustang!
“I don’t know wha-”
Roy gave a sudden gasp as the realization of the apparent truth dawned in him.
“There is someone else, isn’t there?”
Hughes remained quiet, somewhat shocked also. It was pretty unusual; but it
seemed that Roy was feeling insecure. But as they say, silence can be deadly
sometimes. That was exactly what had happened in Hughes’ case.
“I knew it! There is someone else in your life, isn’t there?”
“Eh?”
“Don’t stay quiet, darn it! Answer me!”
“What are you babblin’ about? It’s not what you think at all!”
“I don’t believe you... I don’t believe you at all, you fucking liar!”
He made a cute pouting face as he said this. It almost made Hughes want to kiss
him. And that’s exactly what he did. He kissed Roy ’s soft cheeks as the latter was
busy lamenting over the ‘breakage’ of their relationship. The result was quite
effective. That unexpected kiss had actually stopped Roy ’s nagging.
As a reaction to that small sign of affection, he widened his eyes in surprise and
looked up to meet the elder’s gaze. Roy ’s anger gradually melting away, he
continued looking at Hughes with softness in his eyes.
“How could you think like that, Roy ? That I love some one else other than you?
When that day arrives, the sun will also be setting to the east, you know!”
“Oh Maes!”
“Don’t you see? I love you, stupid!”
“Really? Do you... do you mean it?”
At last, Roy ’s voice reflected calmness. He was now no longer mad or upset. He
seemed to understand his mistake now. His mistake of doubting, of Hughes not being
loyal to him.
He sounded sorry. And, he was.
“Of course I mean it! I love you, you sentimental fool!”
“I-I love you too Maes... hey! Maes!”
“Yeah?”
“I’m... sorry. I’m really very sor-mmph!”
He couldn’t finish what he tried to say. Before he could, he was dragged into a nice,
soothing kiss.
Roy had become tense initially; but gradually, that uneasiness began to fade away as
he could feel Maes’ tongue poking its way into the desired destination.
And as for the other man, he continued to enjoy Roy ’s soft warm lips.
They didn’t know exactly how long they had been like that; nor did they want to
know. Both of them wanted to stay like that for as long as they could. They simply
wanted to cherish the sweetness
of the moment, and also the tenderness of each other’s lips.
But at last, they drew away, once breathing became necessary.
Finally, Roy stated to Hughes, as he panted, trying to catch his breath after that
sudden and long lasting kiss, “I- I said I wa-”
“Shh! It’s okay!” Hughes said as he placed two fingers on Roy ’s lower lips. “You
don’t have to say it.”
“Yes... I know. I love you too, Maes. I love you so much! Just don’t ever leave me,
okay?”
“I won’t - I promise!!”
Soon he pulled the younger for yet another round. This time, it was longer and much
more compassionate than the previous one. It was so soothing, so relaxing!
“... nnnnnggg...” Roy was the first one to break their special moment.
“So... you don’t have someone in your life, then?” He said with his ever so cool smirk
in his lips.
“Nope!”
This made Roy to give a soft, yet angelic smile. He looked up towards the other with
his dark onyx eyes, his eyes so full of love and playfulness.
“Really?”
“Really."
“... Hmph,” he chuckled. “You liar.”
