I wrote this a few years ago after having a discusion with a friend about wether Heero should be with Duo or Relena. She is of the opionion that Heero and Relena are the perfect couple. I have a personal preference for Heero/Duo relationships. I think I have that preference because of great authors such as Talya Firedancer and White Cat. They are the people who introduced me to Gundam Wing fanfiction. I also don't like reading songfics, although I have read a few, so I wrote this as something that I would read.

{Opening Scene}

[Relena and Heero are talking Heero is being

unresponsive and she is almost crying]

I made a rule about you I made a plan,

For getting my feet back on the ground.

[Relena is in her office looking at printouts and a

computer is on next to her.]

I bury my face in clouds for hours on end,

[Relena throws the printouts away and types in a

search. {Camera zooms in on the screen and she had

typed "Heero Yuy" in}]

But time only flies when you're around.

[Relena is walking to an apartment building. The sky

is over cast She knocks on the door and when it opens

Heero is on the other side. He lets her in and they

start talking]

It was cold and dark the last time I saw you.

Your hair was long and falling in your eyes.

You said my hands were warm and that I was special to

you . . .

Valentine.

[Relena and Heero are talking she puts out her hand as

if pleading he catches it and says something.

{Thescene fades out}]

You know that I'm fighting this love in vain.

The suns been shining for a week but it just feels

like rain.

[Relena is sitting on a balcony with some friends but

she does not look happy. the sun is shining on her

hair]

Valentine

I know your not mine you're somebody else's flame.

[Relena is standing on a beach and looking at

something with sadness in her eyes. {The camera pans}

and Heero and Duo are standing next to each other with

their arms around each other watching the sun set]

But when those hearts and flowers fade, Oh my darling

look my way.

[Relena is standing in the starlight watching Heero

and Duo walk Home]

You say that it's complicated but baby your wrong,

There's nothing more obvious to me.

[The gundams are fighting {cut to} Relena talking to

Diplomats.]

That were on a trip together 33 thousand light years

long,

And I'm hurting so bad 'cause you don't see.

[Relena is sitting in her office talking on the phone.

She is looking sad and tried. She looks like she is

trying to plead with someone. She gets a stunned look

on her face and hangs up the phone. She turns to her

computer and sends an e-mail.

{Fade to Heero at his

computer, Duo in the background}

Heero gets up and

beckons Duo to come with him.

{Zoom in on the

computer}

The computer has an e-mail screen and the message is

"A small country is going up against OZ. They will be

annihilated if they fight on there own, please help

them. Relena" on the bottom of the screen there are

coordinates for the country.]

The night you walked me home I gave you a Picture

Of these trees falling to the ground.

[Heero crashes a party that Relena is at and he walks

her to her hotel room. She gives him something and

runs in to her room.]

And now I feel, I feel that you are a perfect stranger

. . . without you,

Valentine

You know that I'm fighting this love in vain.

The suns been shining for a week but it just feels

like rain.

[Relena is looking at Heero and he is not as closed as

her used to be, Duo is next to him holding out his

hand to Relena]

Valentine

I know your not mine you're somebody else's flame.

(Bridge)

[She starts toward them and takes Duo's hand She is

pulled into their embrace. {The rest of the song is

images of all three together]
