The Mirror of Light 2

 

~Kagome's POV~

 

 

I entered the hut and looked around. Everyone was sleeping except

 

Inuyasha in the corner. He glanced at me as I entered and then went into deep

 

thought. I sat across from the sleeping Sango and Miroku. Shippo and Kirara slept on

 

my sleeping bag. It wasn't long before I lay falling into a restless sleep.

 

~The Next Morning~

 

 

That morning I decided to head home and catch up on some school work.

 

That is after dishing out a few sit's to Inuyasha, a few hugs to my friends and a

 

promise to be back tomorrow. I jumped into the well that let me pass between both

 

times. `I must go to Kaguya's castle and revive my sister's home. But… I don't have a

 

sister.' Then the Shikon jewel around my neck gave a pulse. “Something wrong.” I

 

climbed out of the well in my time and opened the door out of the mini shrine. What

 

 

I saw is the one thing that will thant my mind forever. There was blood all over the

 

yard, the house was half obliterated, and two lumps lay in the front yard. I ran over

 

to the closest one. `Mama.' “Ka. Go. Me.?” I gulped. “Yes. Mama It's me. What

 

happened?” She looked at me tears filling her eyes. “There was a demon… looking for

 

you…an…and Sota. They killed your brother and…… he vanished soon after

 

right……right out of our hands then it killed jiji-chan {grandpa}. I'm sorry Ka.Go.” I

 

grabbed mama's hand and shock it furiously. “Mama? Mama?? Mama?!” I sat there

 

tears spilling over. I got up grabbed a shovel and buried the two. Then went inside of

 

what was left of the house and into mama's room and grabbed the family photo. `No.

 

This can't be real I'm dreaming. No.' I could no longer support my weight and ended

 

up collapsing right there not moving. I just stared a the picture in my hands. This

 

was all that I had left of them. Just a picture.

 

~Inuyasha's POV~

 

I paced back and forth in front of the well. It had been one and a half

 

days since Kagome left saying she would be back this morning. Sango kept telling him

 

not to worry so much seeing how she's always late. I simply responded with a `feh' It

 

was all ready getting dark. Something deep in my gut told me something was wrong.

 

Without a moments hesitation I jumped into the well. I saw the familiar blue time

 

traveling color and then I landed gracefully on my feet. “This smell it's…Blood! Oh no.

 

Kagome!” I jumped out of the well in Kagome's time and ran out to find puddles of

 

blood starting to dry. The place was a wreck. There was blood all over and the smell

 

of demon. The house was leaning to one side and looked slightly melted. There were

 

two fresh graves on the side. I bent near the ground trying to find Kagome's scent.

 

Then I found it. I ran inside toward Ms. Hirigashi's {let me know if this is right}

 

room. There in the middle of the room sat Kagome. Her cloths were covered in dried

 

blood and she was staring at something in her hand. The worst part of all was the

 

fact that he smelled salt water. `She's crying. Great. Just what I need right now. But

 

then again she didn't need this ether. This might take a while.'
