*BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!*

A hand groggily reached for the snooze button. "..5 more minutes…" a tired female voice said as she rolled over and hid under the covers. The door opened to reveal a young boy with wheat colored hair around the age of 10.

"KAGOMEEEEEE!! WAKE UP!!! ITS TIME FOR SCHOOL!!!" A blob under the covers groans "I don't wanna….." he walked over to the table by her bed and grabbed her alarm clock. *BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!* He held it by her face. She groans again "Ok…ok……im UP!"

She sits up and rubs the sleep out of her eyes. She walked over to her closet and got her things and headed toward the bathroom dragging her feet and mumbling "….I am SO not a morning person…." She turned on the water and stood there just enjoying the feel of water running down her back.

When she stepped out she felt clean and refreshed. She walked over to the sink and stuck her toothbrush in her mouth. *che che che che* when she was done with that, she put a brush threw her long raven hair. She checked herself over once more to make sure she didn't forget anything. She stepped out of the bathroom and grabbed her backpack and headed for the door yelling "Bye Mom, bye Soata she you after school"

Her name is Kagome Higarashi and she is the most popular girl in her high school. All the boys loved her,…all the girls wanted to be her. She was the picture of perfection, and she was late for school.

She reached the school with 3 minutes to spare. "Whew…..just made it." She sat down and sighed. "Took you long enough." Said a rough familiar voice. She didn't even bother to turn around, she already knew who it was. " Why don't you go ruin someone else's day Inuyasha! " he answered with his usual comment " Feh" Inuyasha Mamoru, the most popular BOY in her high school. He was quite a sight, long beautiful white/silver hair, gorgeous golden eyes, a perfect face , a strong muscular build, and cute little dog ears on the top of his head, and Kagome was SURE they were fake. He was every girls dream guy……until you met him face to face. When you got to know him, he was worse! He was a rude, arrogant, self centered JERK!

"Is that ALL you ever say!" asked an irritated Kagome " Feh" he said with a smirk. He loved teasing her. It was his favorite hobby. "Arrggg!" she yelled in frustration as the door opened and the teacher walked in. "Okay class settle down… please open your books to page 314…"

Kagome sat there and listened to the teacher babble on about something or other. She looked around to find something interesting to look at. She turned her head to the right and looked at her best friend Sango Hitokiri. She was beautiful and popular (but not as popular as Kagome) and lots of boys have crushes on her, but she only had eyes for one guy. I still don't know WHY she would like a hentai. His name is Miroku Houishi and he is very cute, I'll admit. He has been our friend since 7th grade……when we were on a field trip….and he grabbed her ass. After we whacked him a couple of times he said he was sorry and he bought us some drinks and said that he had just wanted to meet us. We became friends with him after that. Once you get to know him you find out he is cuter than before and has a great sense of humor. Unfortunately she won't admit that she likes him, but it's kinda obvious. After I got bored at looking at her I turned my head to my left side and saw……..him. Inuyasha was leaning on his hand and seemed to be dozing off. `He can't even stay awake for 5 minutes!' I thought. I tore a little piece of paper off my notebook and made it into a little ball. I waited till the teacher was turned around, aimed and threw. It hit Inuyasha right in the forehead. He got a surprised look on his face and lost his balance, I guess. Because his head fell from his hand and hit the desk *BAM!* I smiled to myself at his misfortune. "Mr. Mamoru are you still with us? Good now please go and stand out in the hall" I couldn't hold it in any longer " hehe" The teacher looked my way. "Ms. Higarashi I think you just volunteered to join Mr. Mamoru out in the hall" My smile turned into a frustrated frown as I walked out the door. "Well well…look who has decided to join us! It's the wretch Kagome!" I glared daggers at him. "This is all your fault you know! If only you could stay awake" he smirked "Well if I'm not mistaken you're the one who surprised me in the first place" `How did he know I did it? Why that …that' "Jerk" I finished my thoughts outloud. "Wretch" he fired back "Stupid!" she yelled. "Pest!" he yelled in return. She shut her eyes tightly and thought ` it's ok…. don't kill him… just count to ten and walk away…. just walk away' She turned around quickly and walked away "Hey!" he yelled `I wasn't done! I still had a good 5 more comebacks!' He walked to catch up with her. She ignored him and kept walking. His movements were quick as he moved and ended up right in front of her. Of course as clumsy as she was she walked right into him and started falling backwards. He caught her before she hit the ground. They stood there for a minute or so as time seemed to stop, her in his arms. Her heart was racing and she couldn't figure out why. `W-why do I feel this way?…this is Inuyasha! I-I shouldn't feel this way!…………. could it be that I….' She cut off her thoughts and looked up at him. He stared down at her with his big golden eyes. `T-this is actually...kind of ….nice…Ack! What am I thinking!' he thought as he roughly let he go. The bell for the end of first period rang. She turned hiding the blush on her cheeks and practically ran down the hall. `OK ! what just happened there?! My…my worst enemy held me in his arms and I …I enjoyed it! Ahhh I need to get my priorities straight' as she turned a corner she saw her best friend, Sango. "Sango!" she yelled and grabbed Sango's arm and dragged her to the nearest restroom. "Sango! Inuyasha ..and i..and he and ahhh! I'm so confused!" She yelled looking to her friend for the answers. Sango just stood there and looked at Kagome blankly showing that she was also confused. "Ok Kagome start from the beginning" Kagome spilled everything and tried to talk faster when she reached the part about her feelings on the matter. A big smile crept across Sango's face as she stated "Wow this is just like the soap opera I watched last night!" Kagome stared blankly at her and stated " Sango! Stay focused. This is no soap opera! It's my life!" Sango just giggled and asked "ok..ok so do you like him that way?" Kagome sat there for a second then said " No! of course not! Who would like a jerk like that!" when she was really thinking `but….it was kind of nice when he held me…..no! I won't think like that! Noooo way!' while Kagome debated with herself weather she liked him or not Sango stated "well before you want to start presueing any certain goals…. You might want to sort out your feelings" she registered her friends advice and said "ok I'll do that thanks for your help Sango" Sango smiled and said teasingly "oh no need to thank me! I'm just playing matchmaker" Kagome rolled her eyes as she walked out of the bathroom Sango following close behind. "Well well two lovely ladies in the bathroom alone…how nice" said a suave voice. Both girls turned to find none other than the biggest hentai on campus. Sango walked over and smacked him across the head. Not hard enough to do much damage but enough to get the job done. "Your such a pervert Miroku" she stated accusingly "Who? Me? Why would you think that my dearest Sango?" he asked trying to look as innocent as possible. She dropped the subject and headed for class. they were headed for the girls locker room and as they were going in Miroku tried to follow. "Don't even think it Miroku!" Sango yelled as she went in. he made a pouted frown and turned around, heading the other way. Later that day, Sango and Kagome were headed toward a big oak tree to eat lunch. When Kagome dropped her apple, she bent down to pick it up and suddenly Miroku was behind her and flipping her skirt up. She stood straight up and turned around, she was about to give him a good smacking but someone beat her to it. Inuyasha was there hitting him repeatedly on the head, getting an "ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow " every time he was hit. When Inuyasha was done pounding Miroku he glared at him then walked away. "Well that was a first" stated Sango smiling. But Kagome didn't hear her because she was lost in thought. `Why would Inuyasha of all people do that' she kept asking herself over and over. She finally came to the conclusion that he had probly just been near by and saw what had happened, but why had he hit him so many times? She just couldn't figure it out, so she dropped it and tried to have a normal lunch. Like THAT would ever happen.
