Chapter 1: The Girl that jumped back through time and the boy that was sealed

/"Heh, I've finally gotten it..." A dog-eared boy said while smirking and holding a jewel in his hand and jumping from house to house, dodging all the arrows that were being shot at him. "Inu-yasha!" A female voice cried out. The dog-eared boy turned at the sound. His eyes widened, "Kikyou?" The girl was donned in a traditional shrine priestess's clothing with the side of it covered in blood and a trail of blood behind her. After she had caught Inu-Yasha's attention and slowed him down a little, she released the arrow that she was holding in position. As it flew, it left a small trail of color... Kikyo had put a curse on the arrow. It flew into Inu-yasha's chest, making him realease his hold on the jewel. His eyes widened as he was pinned to a near by tree with the arrow. "Kikyo... Why?" He asked before he closed his eyes and slept, as the cursed arrow had made him do, for an eternity. Kikyo then walked forward and kneeled to retrieve the Jewel. All the townspeople surrounded her, "Lady Kikyou, are you alright?" Another voice rang out, "Sis! Are you alright?" A small child ran up to Kikyou and kept asking if she would be all right. Kikyou shook her head, "The wound is fatal. Kaede, this is the Shikon no Tama," She held up the jewel that Inu- yasha was trying to take. "We can't let it fall into the hands of evil, burn it with my body." Afterwards, Kikyou was burned, holding the Shikon no Tama in her hands./

I sat on the ground of my family's shrine, half-listening to her grandfather ramble on about some marble that he would be passing off as the "Shikon No Tama" ("also called Jewel of Four Souls," he said) and selling as suviniors at his shrine. He then went on to explain legends and myths, this is when I totally tuned him out. I never liked legends... I could never relate to them in anyway... "Hey grandpa! What'd you get me for my birthday tomorrow?" I blurted out, interrupting him mid-sentence. He cleared his thoart and pulled out a neatly wrapped box. "I was going to give it to you tomorrow, but what's the harm in giving it to you now?" He said then handed me the box. I should've known that it was something that had a "legend" because that was all I ever got from my grandfather, but I didn't. I opened the box and the expression on my face changed from mildly excited to disgusted. I picked up what looked like an old brown, mummified claw. "That's a goblin's claw... It's supposed to bring good luck." He was about to go into a legend when I sarcastically said, "Oh yay... Here Duke." I then threw the hand to the family dog to eat. "Hey! That was expensive!" I heard my grandfather say as I walked over to the door and her fought Duke for the hand. "Hold it right there Sakura!" He said as I reached the door. I turned around, a vein popping from my forehead, "It's not Sakura! It's Daisuke! My name is Daisuke! I will no longer respond to Sakura, ever!" "But Sakura's a beautiful name, plus it's the one that your father..." "Shut up!" "Young lady! Don't talk to me like that! Apologize right now!" I put my feet together, threw my shoulders back, held my head up, and saluted to him, "Sir! Yes sir!" She smirked then turned around and walked out the door. I had been sent to military school three years ago and had to stay there for two years because my parents wanted to try and do away with my rebellious behavior. Of course, it was huge failure, I'm more rebellious than I ever was. All that school thought me was how to get stronger and mock authority.
BBBBRRRIIING GG!!! `Stupid alarm clock... More... sleep... needed...' I thought to myself as my hand slammed down on the snooze button. A mere five minutes later, the alarm went off again. `Stupid thing...' I thought as I turned it off and slowly got out of bed.

/Let me introduce myself, I am, by birth, Sakura Sakamoto but I prefer the name Daisuke much, MUCH more than... Sakura... I hate that name because it's so girly and my father gave it to me. My father walked out on us about six years, I don't miss him though. I've hated him with all my heart ever since I was born... Today is my fifteenth birthday and guess what! I have school! Yay! NOT!/ `Why can't my birthday be on a Sunday?' I thought to myself as I pulled on the green fuku. `To skip, or not to skip, that is the question... The question that I can answer in about half a second... Skip! DUH! But now, the harder question, what havoc should I wreck while skipping?' I smirked then grabbed my bag and stuffed some books in it to make it look like I was going to go to school then put some scissors, hair spray, a hair brush (even though my hair is so short that they be of any use to me but it's useful on wrecking havoc on other people), some matches, paper clips and rubber bands, a half-used can of spray paint, a deck of playing cards, and a few random sharp objects. I then put some more books on top of the stuff to hide it. I grabbed my hat, it wasn't part of the school fuku, it was the one that I wore while I was in elementary school, but I like so I wear to school everyday anyway.
I walked downstairs and grabbed a piece of toast from the toaster then looked at my watch. `6:30... Better leave now.' "I'm going to school now! See ya later!" I slipped on my sneakers before starting off down the street. I walked past the old dried up well behind the shrine but went back when I saw my little brother, Kyouichi, at the top of the stairs that lead down to the well, appearently calling to someone or something. I walked over to him quietly, "Boo!" He jumped up and turned and looked at me then placed his hand over his heart and gasped for breath. "You... You scared me Onii-chan!" "Yea, yea, what are you doing, anyway?" "Duke's down there... But I heard something." "Duh! The dog! Use your brain sometime, it might help..." "But it doesn't sound like a dog, Onii-chan!" I sighed, Kyou was never much of a man, "Okay, I'll go down there, but you have to go next time... Chicken." "I'm not a chicken!" "Then go down." "No thanks!" I shook my head then made my way down the stairs. I looked around and heard a strange noise coming from down the well. "Huh?" "Do you see anything Onii-chan?" Kyou shouted down to me. I looked around and saw Duke at my feet, "Yea, Duke!" Kyou then whistled for Duke to come up to him and Duke did. I started to walk away, still wondering what the noise was, when suddenly the noise became louder. I turned around to see a bright, light-purple light coming from the well and a lady with many arms coming out. She grabbed me then pulled me into the well. "What the heck!? What's goin' on!" I shouted. "You have it, give it to me." The lady said. "Listen lady! I don't have anything, so just go away!" "You have it... My body's coming back, I know you have it!" The lady then stuck one of her arms into my chest. "AHHH!" I punched her with all my strength and a purple light came from my fist and severed her arm off. I fell to the bottom of the well. "Was that... A dream?" I asked myself then looked around and saw that I was at the bottom of an old dried up well with the severed arm next to. "Maybe... It wasn't..." I climbed up to the opening of the well and looked around. It was so... green... I knew that I wasn't in my hometown anymore, there was too much green foliage and nature. I looked around. "That's odd, that the old tree in the yard. So, that means that home is..." I started running through the forest, I knew the way home from that tree, or at least I thought I did. I got to the middle of the forest and smiled then walked out, where my house was supposed to be stood a tree, and on that tree was a long, white-haired boy in red with an arrow sticking out of chest but he didn't look dead, merely sleeping. I cautiously walked up to the boy and saw that he had ears... `Wait! He has ears!' I was a little slow when I first saw him. "I must touch them!" I announced then walked up to him and started foddeling them. They were very soft, like dog's fur. I sighed, "Well, now that I got that out of my system, time to go home!" I turned around to leave and was greeted by an arrow wizzing by, just bearly missing my skin and cutting some of my hair in the process. "Stop right there or we'll shoot again!" Some people wearing what looked like the outfits that the people in the archery club at school would wear were looking at me with their bows pointed at me, all the bows were loaded with an arrow. I smirked, "Go ahead, I needed a hair trim anyway." "What!?" One of them shouted at me. "You hear me," I replied, still smirking. Then, an old lady stepped out from among them. "Hold your fire! I have some questions for this girl!" At this command then archers lowered their bows and returned their arrows to their quivers. The old lady walked up to me, "Come with me." She had graying hair and a path over one of her eyes. I raised an eyebrow at her, "Why should I go with someone I don't even know?" "Just do it!" I did the same mock reverence as I did to my grandfather. I put my feet together, shoulders back, head up, and eyes forward. I saluted, "Ma'am! Yes ma'am!" She grinned, I was laughing my head off in my mind but just grinned on the outside. I followed her to her hut in the town. All the people were wearing old fashioned clothes and kept wondering about my clothes. When we were inside the hut she turned to me and smiled, "You're back, I can't believe your back. You have shorter hair... but, you're back!" I looked at her with a look of confusion on my face, "I think you have me confused with someone else, I don't know you..." The old lady shook her head, "I'm sorry, I meant to say, it's good to see you. I'm Kaede, and you're the reincarnation of my sister, the priestess Kikyou." I arched an eyebrow at her, "Reincarnation?" I laughed, "Yea, right? And I'm in some other time period. Don't make me laugh. Now, I have to get back to Tokyo." The lady now lifted an eyebrow at me, "Eye, but I've never heard of the village of Tokyo." "WHAT!? You have to be kidding!" My eye's widened and I leaned my back on one of the walls, `This is a dream... It has to be... Everyone in Japan's heard of Tokyo...' "What is the year?" I said, almost desperately. "The year is 1505, my child." My eyes widened. `1505!? The Sengoku Period?!' I asked myself, remembering what I had learned at school. `1505... why? How? 1505...' I started comtemplating what could've brought me to the year 1505. Crash! A sound interrupted my train of thought and Kaede and I ran out to see what it was. My eyes widened as I saw what it was. "That's... that... That's the thing that brought me here! It's bigger now though!" I shouted to Kaede. She turned to me, "That's Misstress Centipede, my child. Go! Run to the forest! We have to protect the village." I stood there for a minute, "No, I'm going to help you!" "GO!" "Where is she! Where is the Shikon no Tama?" Mistress Centipede yelled out. `Shikon no... Tama... Grandpa was telling me about that yesterday! What's all this about the Shikon no Tama? I don't have the marble...' "THERE!" Mistress Centipede then came down at me. "You want me, you'll have to come and get me!" I yelled then ran into the forest. My distraction left the townspeople enough time to shoot many arrows at her. I ran up to the tree where the dog-eared boy was. "Dog... Boy..." I saw, getting a strange feeling to go and see if he could help. `What are you thinking? He's dead with an arrow through his heart...' I thought when I got close to him. I reached up to his arrow when Misstress Centipede and the armed townspeople behind her. "Give me the Shikon no TAMA!" The centipede demon yelled out. "Why don't you just shoot her with an arrow Kikyou? Shoot one at her just like you shot one at me. Why don't you?" I looked up and saw the boy with his eyes opened and talking. "WHA! Who are you!? AND, I'm not Kikyou! I'm Daisuke!" I yelled at him. "Kikyou... You have really short hair now... Did you get sick of always having the long priestess hair? C'mon Kikyou, don't tell me you've forgotten me already... Inu-yasha, you're love that you killed?" He smirked, "I can't believe how weak you've gotten Kikyou." I felt a vein popping out of my forehead, "FOR THE LAST TIME! I AM DAISUKE! DAISUKE! NOT THIS KIKYOU-LADY!" I yelled at him. "Don't be pretentious! No other girl smells this disgusting except you!" He then bent forward a little, because the vines and arrow bound him tightly to the tree. Because I was arguing, I didn't see the centipede coming at me. My eyes widened. `What?' I asked myself. She had come at me but hadn't hit me... It was more like she went right though me. "Idiot! You let her have the Shikon No Tama!" The voice of the Inu-yasha snapped me back to reality. "Huh?" He seemed to shake his head, if it wasn't bound to the tree, that is. "Just remove this arrow and I'll take care of Misstress Centipede." I arched an eyebrow at him, "and why should I let someone who mocks me and puts down out of his, supposed, death?" "Just do it!" I glared at him then crossed my arms across my chest. "No." I said. At that moment, the centipede came at me and knocked me over. "Thanks for the Shikon no Tama... Now I can achieve great strength!" With that she swallowed the jewel. My eyes widened as she held a hand up at me and brought down at me fast. `This is where I thank military school...' I thought quickly then dropped my shoulders and tilted my head to the left so her arm didn't do as much damage, it only left a large gash on my shoulder. I then did a back roll, kicking the centipede demon as I went past her, and landed away from her kneeling. I grabbed my bladly bleeding shoulder then ran in a random direction to have the demon chase me. After I had gotten a safe distance, I ducked down so the demon, who seemed to fly through the air rather than walking on the ground, went right over my head. I then did a quick `belly-crawl' back to the tree that Inu-Yasha was bound to. "If you promise to beat this thing, I'll let you go." I said. "No! Don't release Inu-Yasha!" I heard Kaede's voice cry out but I ignored her. "Okay, sure." Inu-yasha agreed to my terms. I smiled almost evily then let go of my shoulder and reached up to the arrow with my bloodied hand and grabbed a hold of it. "No! Don't child!" I heard Kaede's voice again. "Too... Late!" I said as my grip on the arrow tightened and the arrow was broken. The boy smirked and jumped up, using the tree that he was recently released from as a spring board. He moved his hands around a bit and before long the demon was scattered in many little pieces all around. I looked over at Kaede who was shaking her head, appearently disappointed that I hadn't obeyed her when she said not to let Inu-Yasha go. "Where's the jewel!?" Inu-yasha yelled. "How the heck should I know?" "Use your site, child. Your sight will help you find the Shikon No Tama." Kaede said. "My sight?" I asked, very confused but shook my head and listened. I looked around and within a few seconds saw a glowing purplish-pink thing in one of the sections. "Over there..." I said and pointed then started walking towards it. Once I got close to it, I reached my hand out to grab it but one of the sections suddenly came to life and came at me, hitting me in my already damaged shoulder since I didn't have anytime to evade the attack. `Ow...' I quickly reached my hand inside the demon and pulled it out. The Shikon no Tama clentched in my hand and my hand covered in a kind of goo. Slowly, the centipede demon started to desinigrate. I turned around to see Inu-yasha looking down at me. "I guess I should tell you thank... OW!" I closed my eyes as a reaction to the pain that came with the boy sticking his claws into, and around, the wound on my shoulder. I opened one eye, the other still closed to try and help block out the pain a little. "What..." "Give me the Shikon No Tama." To show that he was being serious, he dug his claws in deeper, causing me to flinch from the pain. `Goodness... What have I gotten myself into this time?' I asked myself as I continued.

Well, there was Chapter one... Hope you liked it... If you did, please review... It took me about 2 weeks to do thing chapter... It's kinda hard to write in first person... I'm used to writing in third person XD I probably won't be doing a chapter for every episode... I don't really want to write 150+ chapters... Unless everyone wants a chapter for every episode... o.O Well, please review and tell me what you think of it. Thanks.
