He clenched his fist around the rosary on his hand as he stood in the crater, which was his father’s grave.

Someday he would remove this curse, vindicate his death.

This curse had caused so much pain to his family, and those near. He wanted to end it. He swore on this grave that he would defeat Naraku, end the cycle of pain and death that held his family.

He was brought from his thoughts as a sorrowful voice reached him.

“I think we should head back now.” She whispered.

“Hai, Mother.” They walked in silence back to the village.
