Circa the year 2999;

The human race had been existing in a relative peace with their youkai brethren since the unexpected uncovering of the race, which had been previously been written off as fairy tales, who had lived with humans since times untold.

The youkai, which is the common name due to many transgressions from the exact meanings from various other languages, exposed themselves to the human public in 2001. Their rights campaign was led by a young Japanese women and her husband, who happened to be a hanyou inu-youkai, or a half dog demon. Their names were mysteriously lost to the annals of history; however they were joined in their lobbying by an influential politician named Maru Sessho.

They won their case and youkai were granted equal rights; in a court case know as Sessho v. Miko.

That peace remained up until the year 2800. From the crime underground a new enemy arose amidst the population. By this time the terran race had spread themselves beyond the earth, and this was the first interplanetary war.

The basis of the war originally was simple, greed and desire. What it became changed the face and ideals on the worlds forevermore. In a scope that only the stories of old could imagine.
