I open my eyes upon a new day as the sunlight pours into my bedroom. I get up and walk to my dresser to get my new skirt with matching shirt then make my way to the bathroom for a shower.

I wish I would know what it is going to be like at my new high school, thinks Kagome to herself. I hope I make some new friends. Maybe I could even get a boyfriend....who am im kidding I will be lucky to not get beat up…She losses her train of thought when she smells rice.

Mom? Kagome calls.

I'm in the kitchen, her mom replies

I'm not really hungry. Says Kagome

Oh ok I will just put it up for a snack or something. Says her mom.

Thanks mom I will eat it later. Says Kagomeas she walks out the door to go to her mustang. When she gets in she pulls out and heads to school.
