I hate to be the copy

Kagome sighed, she was in English class, and todays assignment was to write a poem about yourself, and read it in front of class.
Kagome started thinking about Inuyasha and everybody, until the teacher called out her name,
"Kagome, please, tell me, if your doing nothing, does that mean your done with your poem? Well please come up here! We all want to hear!" Said the evil teacher,
"I havn't started my poem." Said Kagome with her head down, because everyone was wispering or talking about her now,
"Well then think of one. Because your still coming up here and telling us one." Said the teacher with an evil grin.
Kagome slowly walked up to the front of the class room and with her head sown started to think,
"Kagome! Now!" Said the teacher,
"Um, um, I hang with you all day,
when I know you think of her all day,
I hide my saddness through my smile,
and you have no clue all the while,
I hate to be the copy,
I sometimes think you hang with me because I am,
but then I rid the thought,
so more saddness won't drive me to bigger tears,
I have so many fears,
and I hope what were searching for,
will never be found,
so I can still hang with you some more,
even if,
I hate to be the copy..." Said Kagome.
The class room was quite, as was Inuyasha who sat outside the window sill,
"Kagome, I said to write a poem about you. Not some sad love tale." Said the teacher not wanting to be put down.
kagome was about to argue that it was about her, but then gave up, knowing it would do know good. The class hour passed and the bell finally rang and let the school out. Kagome walked home with her head down the whole way.
Kagome walked into the house and saw that Inuyasha was there and smiled at him,
"Hi, Inuyasha." Kagome said in a try hard cheery voice,
"Feh." Was the reply she got, which actully made smile,
"Oh, Kagome! Your home, dear, will you help me cook dinner? Since Inuyasha will be joining us." Said her mother from the stove,
"Yes, mama." Said kagome, while giving Inuyasha one last glance.
Dinner was served, and all ate and talked a bit until Kagome said she was going to bed and Souta soon followed after,
"Inuyasha, dear, are you ok? Something seems to be troubling you." Asked mama kinda worried,
" Feh, nothings wrong." Said Inuyasha hoping she would believe it,
"Inuyasha?" Said mama, knowing he was lying,
"I followed Kagome to school place and during her last class thingymabob she got up from her seat and started saying a poem, a sad poem, and the teacher said that she was to write a poem about her not some sad love tale. But I think it was about her." Said Inuyasha with a defeated sigh,
"Well, Inuyasha, what did the poem say? Can you recite it too me?" Asked mama wondering,
"Yes, this is how it goes,
I hang with you all day,
you think about her all day,
I hide my saddness through my smile,
so you have no clue all the while,
I hate to be the copy,
I sometimes think you hang with me because I am,

I hate to be the copy..." Inuyasha said this with his ears lowered,
"It seems to me Inuyasha, dear, that my daughter is in love, and that person is in love with someone else." Said mama, knowing who her daughter was in love with,
"She is?" Asked Inuyasha, a bit confused and hoping that Kagome was in love with him, because he loved her,
"Yes, Inuyasha, now go sleep on it." Said mama with a soft smile.
Inuyasha got up from the table and slowly went up stairs. Inuyasha slowly opened Kagomes door and saw her sleeping peacfully. Inuyasha sat next to Kagome on her bed, while stroking her hair. Kagome slowly woke up from someone touching her hair. Kagome looked up to she Inuyasha and let out a small gasp,
"Kagome, it's me, Inuyasha." Inuyasha said, because he thought she gasped out of fright,
"I know." Said Kagome, slowly sitting up,
"Ka, Kagome? Can I ask you a question?" Asked Inuyasha a little scared of the anwser,
"Sure, Inuyasha." Said Kagome,
"The poem that you read to day in that class thingymabob. What did you mean by it?" Asked Inuyasha while trying to show Kagome that he was afraid of her answer,
"I, I, I'm really not sure." Said Kagome a little shocked that Inuyasha heard her poem,
"Who are you in love with?" Asked Inuyasha a little more bravly,
"Nobody!" Said Kagome a little to fast for Inuyashas liking,
"Your lying." Said a smug Inuyasha,
"No I'm not!" Said Kagome scared to tell Inuyasha the answer,
"You are too! Who do you love?" Asked Inuyasha, with a smug grin,
"ILOVEYOUOK!" Said Kagome really fast, but not fast enough,
"Then who do I think about?" Asked a happy Inuyasha,
"Kikyou." Said a defeated Kagome,
"You know, I dont even think I loved Kikyou back then. I just, I have to fullfill my duty." Said Inuyasha, now understanding,
"Then how come you protect her like that?!" Asked Kagome,
"I protect everyone like that." Said Inuyasha, while grabbing hold of Kagomes hand,
"Why are we having this confersation?" Asked Kagome, wishing it would end,
"Because I had to figure out why my mate would say such a sad poem." Said Inuyasha while rubbing his thumb up and down her hand,
"Mate?" Asked Kagome, knowing full well what "mate" meant,
"Yes, mate, you are my mate, the love of my life, the mother of pups we may have, my everything." Said Inuyasha with love in his eyes.
Kagome looked Inuyasha and saw that he wasn't lying,
"I do love you, Kagome." Said Inuyasha while hugging her,
"As I love you, Inuyasha." Said Kagome,hugging him back, with tears in her eyes.
Slowly kagome broke the hug and kissed each other.
