A/N: Here you all go, another chapter. I was not having an easy time thinking of something for this chapter because no one reviewed for the last chapter, or any other at that. You people have to know that the more reviews I get, the easier the ideas flow from me, the longer the chapter is, and the faster it comes out. Anyway, please read and review, love you all.

Disclaimer: Ugh, I am getting tired of this, I don't own them! Not me, nope, never! There! Geez…

Last Time
Her heart felt heavy all of a sudden, if they could all be brought to this state, so vulnerable, so afraid, so cornered. She held them fast to her, trying to calm them down so they could explain; she briefly looked to the Taiyoukais for help, but was disappointed when they had a look that showed they were thinking of what to do. Although Kageromaru had the tendency to let his emotions show, he also had the propensity to hide them when they were most useful, whether it be for him or not. She gave a shaky sigh then went back to her ministrations of soothing the quailed forms, and after ten minutes such a feat seemed unfeasible when they started to take in their own shaky breaths and release their hold on her slightly, but intent on having the one thing about her that calmed them for a while longer. Then they finally unrestricted her of their virulent grips stepping back to gain some of their decency back, then sat down in front of her as well as vice versa. They stayed in silence for but a few moments before Miroku shakily began to recount to her what had taken place while her presence was absent.

Now
She was sitting in front of a pond that was located in the back of Sesshomaru's garden, right before his barrier surrounding a particular area where only he can enter starts. She sat in silence for awhile, thinking, and processing what she was just told, trying to make sense of it all, and blaming herself for letting it happen in the first place. Of course it would be a trap, and that was what they had sensed, that ominous feeling in the air was telling her not to listen to it, to ignore it and do what her mind was screaming at her. But no, she followed her instincts, and not for the first time, they had led her wrong, just like with her otou. Whenever she absolutely needed them to be on target, they go off in the opposite direction, just for the heck of it. She sat there thinking over what Miroku had explained to her, and she still didn't get it, she still couldn't grasp it. It's like it was two feet in front of her, but she couldn't move, couldn't budge from her spot, and she couldn't quite reach it from where she was. She replayed the incident over and over again in her head, trying to see what no one else could.

Miroku had been watching over the kids like he was told, and they were eerily quiet. The houshi had his senses spread as far as they could go, in case someone got past the guards, which they did, and not wanting to out the kids in danger he put up a barrier around the room, and pulled them closer to him. They sat there in complete silence, until they heard a loud crash from outside, and there was now a big hole in the wall and a giant boomerang went flying through the room.
They instantly knew where and who that was from and Miroku was the first one to get up and run to the opening in the wall, there seemed to be a lot of those these days, and looked out. There was Sango, Inuyasha, and Kikyou, fighting off the guards, but they weren't even supposed to be able to see the palace, why are they fighting? Miroku decided that maybe it was time for them to present themselves, when all of a sudden a huge black mist come over the place, but left just as suddenly.
Then there was Naraku, in all his glory, and he was right behind Sango, he tried to scream out, they all tried to scream out, but it was no use, they were too stunned. He had something in his hands that gave off one of the most malicious feelings one could ever imagine, next to Naraku's own aura, and he stuck it in Sango's back, then everything went black again and they were gone, guards and all. No one was left, and that was when they could react again, they didn't know what happened but they had this nagging feeling that it was nothing good, quite on the contrary actually.
They could feel something was wrong, then from seemingly nowhere and everywhere they heard a bloodcurdling scream, and they just seemed to have broken right there, the scream was so tortured, painful, and angry all at the same time. And they couldn't help but start shaking in fright, that had been Sango's scream, that had been Sango's pain and suffering, that had been their friend Sango.

Kagome thought through it over and over again, `What am I missing? What happened to her, to Inuyasha, what did Naraku do to them? And if he didn't do anything drastic, if Sango was just mad that he had gotten away? No, that isn't Sango, but what, what happened, what am I missing?' “Arrgh! What is going on now a-days? What is happening to that life I grew accustomed to, what happened to that pain I am used to hiding, what happened to change it all? Humph, like I don't know what changed, I changed, my life changed again, it turned on me again. But that has nothing to do with the matter at hand, what is going on?”
Kagome was starting to get frustrated, she had been here since he finished the story, and that was about one day ago. She knew that her thoughts would be interrupted if she let them in or near her, so she had erected a barrier, she probably learned how to during her training, even though she didn't remember it. She had made it stronger than necessary, just in case Sesshomaru got annoyed and tried to get in himself. She sat there in front of the little pond, and she wanted desperately to get back to her mind realm, but she didn't want to go back yet, not until this problem was either fixed or solved at the least. So she sat thinking over the situation trying to figure out what to do, and if she had still been the same Kagome from two weeks prior, she would most likely be crying on anyone's shoulder, she would have been running around trying to find out what happened like a mad woman, to which thought she gave a mock laugh, that actually seemed like she was exhaling a bit rougher than necessary.
But being the Kagome she was now, she was completely calm, you picked that kind of thing up when training with Sesshomaru, if you didn't then you would never get past his first lesson. But once again she was letting her mind wander, and she knew she was starting to get annoyed, because she was more than certain that it wasn't because of being food or sleep deprived, she was used to that by now. She thought of different things that could possibly be going on, and she couldn't get anyone to help her, she couldn't do that anymore, she had to think for herself now. She was almost positive that they knew more than they were telling her, but were either too scared to tell her, or their minds were just frazzled, because they wouldn't get all bent out of shape for just that, especially not Jaken and Miroku. But she couldn't for the life of her, figure out what it was, nor did she even have a small clue, and she wouldn't be able to do anything until she figured this out.
She thought it over again and again, and before she even knew it another day had passed, and then another. In fact it was like she didn't even notice, and now her still frazzled comrades and tomadachi were starting to fret over her. It had been a week since she had left to some place in the palace, and they hadn't seen light nor darkness of her (That is some saying we use in our family, except it is in Spanish, and I added the darkness part. It is originally, “Ne sus luces…”, I just wanted you all to understand that). They started to try and find her, and when they did they couldn't get even two meters by her, because she had erected a barrier around herself. Now they didn't know what to feel, so they were just melancholy, moping around all day, and Miroku didn't even try to grope or flirt with women anymore, what was the point if he didn't feel right with Kagome not slapping him or yelling at him?
They droned through the days moving only when they had to, eating only when they were starving for the day, and sleeping as much as possible. They couldn't think of anything to do without Kagome around to laugh with them, smile with them, or gently, in everyone's case other than Miroku's, reprimand them. Even Kageromaru was being affected by her short absence, and he had only known her for a few weeks. In fact without Kagome, the palace seem less lively, less upturned, in all truth and essence, the only person in the entire Crescent Moon palace not effected by hr absence or worried, was Sesshomaru, the Taiyoukai of the West, the lord of the castle. He carried in like always, or mostly, he was a lot more short-tempered, which was odd for his cool collected self. But they all brushed it off as being annoyed.
Kagome knew that she had been there a long time, that she should get back, but she was on to something, and she wanted to settle it in her mind. So she played her theory through her head, as she has done with many others, and searched for even the tiniest flaw. `Ok, lets say that Sango, Inuyasha, and Kikyou were traveling this way because Kikyou had accidentally sensed my shards and mistook them for a demons, thus them heading this way. Then they ran into the guards, who are the only ones, or things for that matter, visible at the moment, and think they are evil, or maybe that they had the shards. But then wouldn't Kikyou sense that they didn't? Ugh, there goes another theory, but wait, what if they weren't heading here because of the shards?'
“Yeah, that's it! I got it, I understand now, that is what happened. I have to tell everyone what it is that happened, if they didn't already know most of it that is. I bet they do, but they are just so shocked about it that they couldn't speak more than they had, they being Miroku and whatnot. But if what I am thinking is in fact true then there is more at stake than we know. Well I'll think about that later, I have to get everyone together!” Needless to say, she was overjoyed that she figured it out, but at the same time, worry pricked at the back of her head. She needed to eliminate Naraku once and for all, no matter how much it pained her to kill someone, even if it was Naraku. She still had that innate feeling of love for all living things, and it was starting to carry onto non-living things as well, including Kikyou. But pushing the matter aside she got up and walked to the edge of her barrier, then dropped it and walked out for the first time in a week and a half.
She quickly ran into the palace searching out one of the servants to go tell her friends while she changed, she may have been taking a bath in the pond, but she hadn't changed in the entire time, and she had been wearing her very sweaty, or so she says, training outfit. When she finally found one she quickly told him to go tell all her comrades to gather in the study for a meeting that was being held, to which he happily did, the servants had started to like her antics and herself, and were even quieter while she was off doing who knew what. As he ran off to inform all the people she would begin her travels with, she went towards her room, which was still easy to locate because of Sesshomaru's scent. She quickly got there by using some of her speed and went inside looking for something to wear that would compensate for all those days wearing the same thing.
Finally after what seemed like hours of searching but was actually only half an hour, she found a kimono that was beautiful, but simple. It was a baby blue and lilac one, just like the colors in her room, that had pink sakura petals floating around it in what could be described as nothing else but a pattern. It had a white kimono to make a layer with it and a light pink layer that you put over the kimono itself after she had placed the lilac obi, that had little petals on it (Gomen nasai, but I don't know about kimonos and junk. So just stick through this with me for now, and I would really like it if someone could educate me on this matter). After she put up her hair in a messy but nice bun with two strands framing her face and two that were just rebellious and kept getting out of their hold in the middle of her head and put on the matching slippers, she started to head for the study, where everyone had already gathered. And she could hear them arguing about who it was that had called them down there, with even Sesshomaru participating in the little dispute, saying that someone was going to pay for wasting his time, and she suddenly remembered her reasons for holding the meeting in the first place.
She picked up her pace and was there within ten minutes, where it would have been twenty had she kept up her original pace. She reached out for the shoji doors and was surprised when the servant she had sent to get the loudly bickering adults and children, stopped her pushed her back a bit and slide open the shoji door for himself. “The caller of this meeting has arrived in all her beauty and glory”, to which words she blushed, “Kagome-sama, the miko-kami.” At her name she could instantly hear them quiet, and even some sighs of happiness here and there. She walked in and was instantly jumped by two small bodies, and after saying hello she pried them off her, albeit quite hesitantly, but she had things to discuss. She could feel the men's stares, including Sesshomaru's own, and she could feel the heat rise p to her cheeks as her blood surfaced. She quickly cleared her throat and motioned for everyone to sit down, which they did quite distractedly, as she began to explain to them what she had been doing for the past week or so. Once she got reprimanded for not eating or sleeping by Miroku and Kageromaru, she explained what she figured out while there alone.
And here they are now, two hours later, the kids in bed, and them sitting in the study contemplating what to do about this newly received information. Although it did not directly concern them or their lands, the Taiyoukais knew they had to do something about this because it concerned their lands indirectly. They would help the miko-kami because they had to, and they would do it with pride.
As their meeting drew to an end they just sat in silence, not one or the other wanted to leave, but they would have to at some point, so Kagome stood and pulled her hair down momentarily to relieve it of the tight hold the rubber band had on it. As her hair cascaded down its length she absently scratched her head, then brought all back up to fix into something more comfortable, a half ponytail. As she felt satisfied she looked over the men's faces and couldn't help but chuckle, then giggle, then burst out laughing mirthfully as she clutched her abdomen to try to stop the heavenly pain of not breathing that it caused. She doubled over still clutching her stomach; you really had to have seen their faces to understand her mirth. Imagine every man there openly showing their emotions, even Sesshomaru, in a look of a child who was pouting, trying to look important, trying not to laugh, and completely awed at the same time. She only wished she had a camera, which reminded her that she had her CD player with her, which would come in handy when she needed something to do.
After she stopped laughing she smiled hugely then extended her arms to Miroku and Kageromaru, her new best friends. They accepted playfully scowling at her, but they couldn't hide their awe of how beautiful she looked and the openly stared at her. They began to walk out of the room when they heard Sesshomaru speak, “Miko-kami, meet me here after you are quite done with your two… companions there.” They started to chuckle and saw the horrified look that was Kagome's face, but she merely placed in her face of indifference, which she was beginning to pick up quite well, and turned to give Sesshomaru a hard glare. Then she locked her hands with both of theirs and gracefully skipped down the hall in between them. She led them to their rooms and was shocked when she saw them; they were nothing like her room. Even Kageromaru had a pretty crappy room.
Miroku's only had a small futon that was hardly half the size of her's, a small dresser, and a small window, which was all packed in a small room, which had no color scheme at all. Kageromaru's wasn't much better, the only difference was about a foot of space more on either side, and a tan color scheme, and she just couldn't believe this was where they slept, they saw her awed face and turned to her with curiosity written all over their faces. Miroku was the one to speak up first, always having been the one to speak his mind. “Is your room really that much worse that you are awed by what we received?” He saw her still openly gaping at the two rooms, and he began to wonder just how badly Sesshomaru treated her.
Kagome couldn't find her voice, how would she be able to sleep when her friends had to sleep here the day before their journey finally began? How would she be able to do such a thing? She wouldn't her conscious would get to her and bother her until she did something. Then she heard what Miroku said and not being able to find her voice, she grabbed their hands and led them to the other side of the palace where her room resided. As she walked past the few doors in this wing she started to finally realize just how well she was being treated, almost like a spoiled princess who didn't even know she was spoiled, but not because of ignorance. She finally stopped in front of her room and reached to slide the shoji door (I don't know if I have been calling these thing doors, but if I have gomen) open. Then it was their turn to be awed, their mouth a gape, eyes wider that they should be able to, as they stood rooted to the ground. She and this impeccable feeling to just burst out laughing, and she almost did when she saw that their faces had not once changed from that expression. But she remembered the horrible place that they had to sleep and immediately felt the guilt seep into her being, how could she laugh at them when they had to live in that ramshackle of a place for one more night?
She couldn't, and so she came to a decision, “How would you two like to sleep in my room tonight?” She seemed to have snapped them out of their shock, and even envy, because they both shock their heads to clear their thoughts. They looked at her for a while, and then a lecherous look came across their faces. She blushed profusely and raised her hands to playfully smack them, but came over her playfulness and turned serious, which got a much more amusing affect than the latter decision would have. But instead of showing her amusement she merely stated what she thought and left. “No, not like that, because I won't be sleeping tonight, I will be in the study perfecting a plan that is forming in my head. So you have free roaming abilities of my room, but don't go through the door on that wall there. It leads to Sesshomaru.” She was hoping that this would get them to be quiet, but instead their lecherous look turned to that of jealousy and wistfulness at the same time. She thought over what she said and realized how it sounded. She huffed in annoyance, turned on her heels, and headed out again, this time not turning around.
She found herself in front of the shoji doors she had so recently left, and she stood there, waiting to gain permission to enter. When she received none, she tentatively knocked and waited again, but still she received no answer. She was starting to get peeved, frustrated, solicitous, and worried all at the same time. Then a thought struck her, her senses, she could just use her senses to catch a whiff of him somewhere, but to no avail, it was as if he had just disappeared. She felt her concern for him start to overpower, as it was she was already feeling a bit out of place because she had to keep most schooled, and she was worrying about what she had discovered, although she had never given any enlightenment that she might have.
Now her emotions were starting to pile up on her, and she was thinking all the while, `I did not go through a second placed hell just to lose control over this. Ok Kags, breath in, breath out, in, out, in, out. Ok, now that we are calm lets think, what would… damn I don't even have any good examples to explain to myself what to do, and why am I getting all worked up over this? Oh right, because I see him as a bit of a friend after all this. Ok how about we go into the study and relax in one of the many futon or pillows, whatever they are. Then I can think this out rationally.' And so she did just that, she slide open the shoji, stepped in closing it behind her, and went over to the fire that, even without a chimney, was not suffocating the room with smoke.
She thought on the reasons that Sesshomaru would possibly leave their meeting behind. `Patrol his lands? No, he would have either told me or asked me to join, so if we ran into a demon, I could test out my skills. So that is gone, but what else is there? A women, no, he has more important than having nagging bitches down his throat all day, to which he would gladly repay in actions, as he so calmly said. Another theory down, but what else is there…hmmm, it could be, but then wouldn't have Jaken tell me or someone. Yeah he would have if he wasn't already in a hurry to leave. Then I guess the last one is right, and he still should have informed me, I mean he is ruining my plan! Well, if he wants to go and ruin it all, fine, but he will be the one to mend it up later!'
With huff of annoyance as all concern left her, most of it anyway, being replaced by an annoyance that only one person could ever surpass. She tried to turn her
quickly crashing thoughts towards something other than him, but failed miserably. It still hurt to think of it, but in a way it made her happy to know that he was happy, that he could have second chance. But again her thoughts began to crash at remembering what was almost beyond being accepted as what happened, no they were beyond positive that it was what happened. She decided to take the time to piece it all together, and think of a back up plan, just in case she was right about Sesshomaru screwing it up. This is what she had pulled together:
Sango, Inuyasha, and Kikyou were heading over here not because of a Shikon no Kakera, but because of Naraku himself. They had sensed him over here and Inuyasha of course would jump at the chance of killing him. They got here well enough, but it was all a plan, he would lure herself and the Taiyoukais away from the area, leaving Miroku with the kids, then he would let one of his puppets do the rest, which was to put a corrupted shard in each of them, but it only managed to get it in Sango. But Kagome surmised that Sango would probably be immune to it since she had, had a Kakera implanted in her before. Thus the horrible scream of agony only left one option open, Kohaku was dead, and Sango saw him be killed. Her heart wretched at this, but was calm on the outside, she began her train of thought again having calmed down her aching heart. Then Sango would have lashed out at the puppet, which would in turn leave its miasma as the only clue that it had existed at one point or another. Then from there her guess was as good as anyone else's, even a new born. But as she thought about it, it was the most important part that she couldn't figure out, because for all she knew even more…
She caught her thought and held onto it for a few more moments, before gracefully but hastily getting up and dashing out of the study and palace, running for all she was worth, which seemed was a lot. She ran blindly all over the area of the castle, all of a sudden hoping her idea of him being with a woman was true and not as absurd as it was. She hoped she would catch a whiff of his scent, his arousal, anything, and not the scent of not only his, but Sango's blood. She wouldn't be able to school her emotions if she did. When she found his scent was not in the area around the palace, she began to run through the forest, and if one where to lay eyes on her, you would see an enraged angel, and at the same time a loving Kami seeking out a loved one not caring if the world laid its eyes on her, or turned its back on her for being so impartial about revealing her identity. And for that matter, she didn't.
She ran faster every second, becoming more and more (inwardly) frightened, until she stopped her movement altogether, the momentum of how fast she was running not making her falter in her spot once. She sniffed again just to make sure, and sure enough, the dreaded scent was there, the one she had desperately wanted to never know of, the scent of Sango's impending death…

A/N: Should I end it? Nah, have some more, you know, for you people who know how to REVIEW!

Kagome stood rooted to her spot before anger started to set in, anger at Sango for letting this get to her, anger at Naraku for doing this in the first place, anger at Sesshomaru for being the cause. But most of all, anger with herself for not being there earlier, for not knowing sooner, for ever leaving her friend in the first place. She let her anger set in then ran off with renewed potentially, bent on saving her friends. She followed their scents and ended up in a clearing that was covered in miasma and in the center there were at least 30 puppets looming over two limp bodies, Sango's and Sesshomaru's. She let her control start to seep into and past her anger and drew attention to herself by making what sounded uncannily like a growl. This worked like a charm (I don't get that saying, charms don't always work, that is why they are `charms', not `things that will definitely positively give what they are supposed to', but anyway, away from the constructive thinking part of my mind…) because they all turned to her and stared at her with some emotion in their eyes that she rather not read. On the inside the Kagome she was before cowered in the dark recesses of her mind, and cried, but the Kagome she let out met them with a glare that she could have only picked up, combining the two she had so often seen.
Without hesitation she leapt forward and held out her hands in preparation of letting out her ever present miko powers. Then she heard it, a growl of frustration from the other side of the puppets, she let her senses spread while never taking her eyes off the puppets, thinking `How could I have missed the other scents present. One is of pine needles and grass, and the other of dirt, clay, and death, with an added touch of death.' (She meant that literally, not in a mean, Kikyou is dieing) which meant the growl was from none other than Inuyasha, who did not disappoint with usual yell of the persons name, in this case Kikyou. “KIKYOOOOOOUUUUUUU!” She let her hurt and pain sink back with her still crying former self, and let out a wave of her power, and with it brought down only 3 or 4 of the puppets, and their seemed to be more coming into the clearing too. She let her brows furrow as she kicked one of the puppets and watched as it turned to ashes, she had gone on a whim and tried to make her powers gather in her leg.
Her mouth was in a thin line and in the back of her mind she heard Inuyasha screaming “KAZE NO KIZU!”, but her mind was more on what seemed like a hopeless battle. But she pushed onward, not wanting to give in, and brought down puppet after puppet, when all that happened was 5 would enter the clearing to replace it. She spread her senses around her to be able to detect an attack from behind, and instantly moved away from where she was, and only a nanosecond passed when she saw the tentacle pass her, and her eyes widened. All of a sudden they all started to send out their tentacles at her. She managed to get most of them away, but she had tears all over her kimono, which was weighing her down, so she dropped the outer layer to the floor then shed the upper part of her main kimono, letting it hang loosely over her obi, leaving only her inner white kimono covering her torso. This gave her the ability to move more, but also more prone to attack, and all the while she had been dodging the attacks with her schooled features.
The more she put in the more she put into her attacks, the more they put into their own attacks and counters. She was so intent in her fight she forgot that Inuyasha was still conscious, or even there. Then she heard a stressed gasp and her name being called by him in confusion, “Kagome?”, which momentarily distracted her from the battle when she turned her eyes to him. Then she immediately scolded her self and launched herself away from the tentacle that had almost pierced her. She turned back to the attacks and once again focused on the battle, but kept her ears out for Inuyasha, who was in worse condition than herself. She could feel the tentacles tearing at her as she killed some off, and more came, it would never end, if only she had had her sword or any of her weapons with her. But alas her mind had not settled with the possible need of them, so she had to settle with her hands. She was finally gaining an upper hand when she heard two screams, two womanly screams that sounded like Sango and Kikyou, and she instantly turned around only to see the two brothers were impaled with a tentacle, and there was a lot of miasma pouring into them. In the back of her mind the thought of when the two she had come to save woke up but it was not important right now, and she started to run to the two Inu- brothers, she had to save them, she couldn't help but feel that need to keep all living things alive.
More and more tentacles passed her from everywhere, and she was repeatedly scratched, but she didn't care anymore, as long as she could save them it would be okay. She heard Sango and Kikyou gasp at her sudden appearance but ignored them for now as she brought down puppet after puppet, but only more came, and soon she was completely surrounded. Oh, she was pissed now, this was all getting to her, all the event of the day, and now her stomach was getting all queasy from lack of nourishment, her body groaned from lack of rest and pushing itself, and her mind screamed at her for not being able to do anything to stop the attacks the pain. It all gathered inside her and she let out a loud growl of frustration, that didn't go unnoticed. One of the puppets started to laugh callously, which only fueled her frustration and growl, she launched herself at the puppet but was held back by many tentacles as they held her from that one particular… `Damn it! I don't curse, but damn it! How I could I have missed that he was really Naraku?'
She struggled against her restraints but they only tightened around her, she looked around only to find all the others were being held back as well, she saw Inuyasha enraged face, Kikyou's disgusted one, Sango's resigned look, and Sesshomaru's ever the unreadable expression, but in his eyes she could see a hint of determination, disgust, self loathe, and hate. Ever the prominent hate, it was found in every one of their faces, but not her's, her's was just rage. She turned back to the real Naraku and spoke to him as calmly as ever, “What do you want Naraku? Because you are drawing my patience, and my anger is starting to rage towards you.” Ok, maybe it already had taken over; she had just told him her weakness for Kami's sake! She stared at his face and saw him become as serious as he ever had been then let his silky spew from his lips in a way that would make any other girl swoon, but she wasn't any other girl. “I came to test your new abilities Miko, and I must say I am thoroughly impressed. Do not worry yourself, for you will all live another day, or so I believe.” And with that all his puppets took to the air loosening their holds on them, as did he, disappearing in the miasma.
She dropped to the ground gracefully and could instantly feel the pain start to wrack her body; a person could hold it off for so long. She turned to look at the others and mentally scolded herself, they were badly hurt, with the exception of Kikyou, all that had happened to her was a tentacle scratched her arm a little, she could feel her annoyance rise, `Her and Inuyasha had complained over that? How stupid.' Then she turned to Sango and Sesshomaru who were also bleeding profusely, she limped over to them and put her arms over Sango's formand a glow emitted from her hands, taken over Sango's body. Within minutes Sango was healed and hugging Kagome's tired form. Sango finally let go of Kagome, allowing her to head towards Sesshomaru, who was sitting up right but was panting and bleeding heavily. She put her hands up to his chest and let them float one centimeter away from it, then the light took him over as well, but instead of stopping Kagome looked over to his stub and moved her hands there, placing a small peck on it before letting the light consume it and the darkness consume her. She felt herself fall but was caught in two strong arms, and she finally put her guard down as she reveled in the feeling of her pain, which was numbing her into a feeling of nothingness. Which at the moment she accepted with open arms.
