A/N: I've had this idea since late last year and after numerous drafts it is being typed up as we speak, or rather, as you read. I written a handful of poems and ended up with this one. If any of you have read any of my works *hinthint* you should know that they all have poetry in it. I of course had to include poetry for this one too so, um…here it is.

Introduction: Descend into the Darkness

Descend into the darkness where the shadows embrace you
No matter how hard you try
You will always fail to break through
Some enter of their own free will
Some are desperate to break free
Tormented in their sleep with suppressed memories
Some are driven by their greed and their gluttoness need
While others are fueled by revenge and hate
Desiring for their suffering to dissipate
But how long can they last before madness consumes them all
Soon they'll forget about those around them
Thus leading towards their downfall
Descend into the darkness where you forget the warmth of light
Descend into the darkness as you desperately plan to end your plight

A/N: It's a little short, (understatement of the century) but it's only the introduction so don't fret. I plan to post the actual chapter sometime soon so reviews of encouragement are certainly welcomed.
