Princess Kagome went to her balcony and looked at the beautiful full moon. She was angry at her father for forcing her to marry Prince Naraku of the North.
She would never tell her father this but she was in love with another but he lived in the west on the other side of the land. In these times the West and the East were not at war but due to the distance of the kingdoms they did not have much contact with each other. Kagome sighed, “oh Inu Yasha, why can't you be closer?” she whispered. You see Kagome was in love with Prince Inuyasha the youngest son to the great dog demon Lord Inutashio. As she looked out at the moon she heard a faint whisper of music coming from the night. As she listened to the music she began to sing a song her mother and father used to sing for her when she was younger. And as she sang she heard a male voice join hers.

As she looked down she saw a flash of silver and in a second Inuyasha appeared in front of her. She screeched and threw her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately. Inuyasha smiled as the love of his life kissed him he had missed her so much. When he heard about her father wanting her to marry Naraku he raced to her palace to ask her father to reconsider his decision. As they pulled away the king came barging into his daughter's bedroom trying to see why she screeched.
“Kagome, honey are you alright?” the king asked as he rushed into his daughter's chambers. “Yes daddy I'm fine.” Kagome told her father, still in InuYasha's arms. “ Well, alright I heard you scream and I…” the king stopped mid-sentence as he saw his daughter in the arms of the hanyou prince. “ Prince Inuyasha what are you doing here Prince InuYasha?” the king asked. “I came to ask you to reconsider your decision of making Kagome marry Naraku.” InuYasha said to the king as he held Kagome tight in his arms. “ And who would you suggest that my daughter marry?” the king asked. “I would be honored to marry your daughter sir.” InuYasha said. “And why do you want to marry my daughter? She is a hanyou, and most demons and humans would not want such a creature as a wife or mate. Why would a strong dog demon such as yourself want a mate as her?” the king asked InuYasha as he looked at his daughter. “Well sir the truth is, I'm also a hanyou. My mother is human. And I would want Kagome as my mate no matter what for the reason that I love her.” InuYasha told the king as if it were obvious. The king looked shocked to say the least he looked from his daughter to the hanyou beside her. “Very well you may mate with my daughter, just keep her safe ok?” the king smiled. “Yes sir, I will!” InuYasha said as he smiled and then kissed Kagome.
They were mated soon after that night and as Kagome and InuYasha looked out at the moon on a night of the full moon, Kagome couldn't help but smile and look at her mate. Her prince had finally come.
