Disclaimer of all sorts: I don't own this song but I'm working on owning InuYasha. By the way all that accompany InuYasha are owned by Takahashi Rumiko. (Takahashi being her last name of course.)

The song is Until I Met You by Mest. And the second song Wondering, is by Good Charlotte, I don't know how many of you listen to punk rock but that's what it is.

Kagome found it hard to suppress a snort when InuYasha could look her in the eye and lie so easily.

"Kagome you have to listen to me. I don't have feelings for her. Why won't you believe me?" InuYasha plead desperately.

She rolled her eyes, "InuYasha why lie. I mean half the school saw you in her arms. You didn't really think I would believe you over my own eyes?"

InuYasha sighed, "And I told you it wasn't how it looked. I was trying to get around her when she grabbed me and kissed me."

"InuYasha how about you save it for someone who cares? Cuz I don't," with that sad Kagome turned and walked to the car where Sango was waiting for her. It was hard for her to hold all the hurt inside. She felt betrayed, everyone said that InuYasha would go for the younger version of her. She hadn't wanted to believe it and now walking out of her last period class she had come face to face with the truth, literally. Why had he, the one who claimed he loved her, humiliated her in front of half the student body?

InuYasha sighed resigned, as he watched his girlfriend, or at least what he hoped was still his girlfriend. InuYasha had made a big mistaking keeping the secret that he knew the girl before she came to the high school as a sophomore. Yea she had, had a crush on him when he lived next to her, but that was a childhood crush. How was he suppose to know that she would still have those childhood feeling for him?

InuYasha was pulled out of his thoughts when he felt a tap on his shoulder. His anger flared briefly before he recognized the scent that entered his nose.

"InuYasha I heard what happened. So what are you going to do about it?"

InuYasha shook his head and signed, "I don't know Miroku She won't listen to anything I have to say. And besides she doesn't seem to hurt about it."

"What do you mean?"

"She didn't cry or raise her voice. I don't wanna worry about it because she didn't say anything about breaking up but I can't help but think it's crossed her mind."

Miroku tisked, "I don't know what to tell you."

"Kagome do you think he meant to hurt you? I mean he looks so sincere."

"Sango, I don't know what to think. I mean I love him and I thought he loved me. All those rumors that were spread when that witch first came to the school, I didn't wanna believe them but InuYasha made them all seem true."

Sango patted her friends leg and kept driving. "So do you still wanna go to the talent show tonight?"

Yes I'm not going to let him ruin my life. I refuse to let them see how he hurt me."

"Well that's good for you. Are you going to break up with him?" Sango asked.

"I don't know. I really don't want to but I don't think I have another choice," the hurt was evident in her voice.

Later that night at the talent show

InuYasha felt the sweat build on hid brow he just wasn't sure this would work.

"You know InuYasha, you don't have to do this. I mean you could always get down on your hands and knees and beg for forgiveness." Miroku suggested helpfully.

"No, I have to do this. If this doesn't work I'll save that as a back up plan."

"So what are you planning to do anyway? I thought you didn't do talent shows at least you didn't for the first three years."

"I have to prove to Kagome that Kikyo means nothing to mean to me. I have to humiliate Kikyo in front of the whole school like she did to my Kagome."

"Well I wish you the best of luck. I have to go take my seat before my precious Sango sit down." Miroku disappeared out the side exit of the stage. The next thing that was heard was a loud smack then, "MIROKU! YOU HENTAI!" InuYasha couldn't help but snicker, that was just like his friend. InuYasha then heard the announcer (what else) announcer the beginning of the talent show. He had volunteered to go first he didn't want Kikyo enjoying the talent show when his love probably wouldn't.

"Now give it up for our first preformer! InuYasha Takahashi!" The audience exploded with applauds, cheers and shouts. InuYasha took the stage.

Kagome's face fell when she heard InuYasha's name announced. She hadn't thought he would perform. `I bet he's going to sing a song dedicated to her!" Kagome thought with a sad anger.

InuYasha took his place in front of the microphone, "Before I start my song I would like to dedicate it to Kikyo." Gasps, `omigod's, and `I knew it's went through the audience. Then InuYasha looked pointedly at kikyo with a look of pure hatred in his eyes. He's two cousins Naraku and Sesshomaru took the stage behind him, to sing back up. The music started and InuYasha adjusted the microphone and began on cue to the music:

The song ended and the audience erupted in laughter at how fast she jumped up out of her seat and made a bee line for the door. Kagome could not believe her eyes, InuYasha had his trade mark smirk on his face as he watched his misery leave out the door. Then when he turned to her and a genuine smile crossed his face. Kagome couldn't stop herself from smiling back. But before the audience could recovery from their fit of laughter more music started and InuYasha once again prepared to sing.

InuYasha took one step back and hung his head singing the last line of the song. What he said after was barely above a whisper, "I would rather know then wonder about it."

All the girls wiped away a tear that managed to escape while whispering to each other that it was Kagome was a lucky girl and Kikyo was a lying bitch whore. (*smirk* Of course it was me who spread that rumor *giggles*)

Kagome didn't know what to do. She was beyond stunned. Silent tears slipped down her cheeks. She felt so bad that she had doubted him. She got up out of her seat and made her way to the stage when she felt hands pushing her to go.

Sango watched on as her friend made her way to the stage. `How ditzy could she be. I mean he just poured his heart out to her in a song and she sits here and cries with a lovesick smile on her face,' Sango heaved sigh of regret that her two best friends couldn't think with out her, or move for that matter.

InuYasha raised his head as his Kagome walked across the stage toward him. He hoped she would forgive him.

Kagome felt her heart drop when she saw the forlorn look on his face. She was the cause of his hurt.

When Kagome reached him she lightly touched his face and sighed. Then she leaned in and kissed him. After she had pulled back to look him in the eye she decided to give him that apology that she owed him. "InuYasha, I'm so sorry I--"

InuYasha silenced her with a finger to her lips. "It's alright Kagome. I'm the one who should be sorry."

Kagome shook her head to dispute his statement. This time it was her to put her finger to his lips and silence him. "No InuYasha. I should be the one to apologize." She glared tapped his lips when he looked ready to interrupt her. "I had absolutely no reason to doubt you. I let petty rumors weaken my trust for you and that on my part was wrong. I love you InuYasha and that should have been all the proof I need to believe your words."

InuYasha was speechless. That was the first time she had every told him she loved him. Sure he knew it he just never heard the words come from he lips. He stood there facing her with his mouth slightly gapping.

A collective gasp went through the audience. They could not believe their ears. Of course everyone knew they loved each other but they had never heard the words come from either ones lips. Some boys grunted and sighed while digging in their wallets to get out money they had lost in the bet of who would say the three big words first. Some girls were giggling giddily while they collected money from friends and boyfriends. The only boy to be smiling happily while counting his wad of collected cash was Homo. He knew who was going to say it first because he had followed his woman's intuition.

InuYasha took a step forward and encase Kagome in a rib bruising hug. "Kami, I thought I'd never live to hear you say that. I love you too Kagome. And I know you have a lot of your life ahead of you but I see my whole life standing right here before me."

Kagome felt tears roll down her cheeks when InuYasha backed up enough to get down on one knee. "InuYasha?"

"Kagome Higurashi, you are the love of my life and I never wanna lose you or come close to losing you again. I want to commit to you from this day one for the rest of my life," he paused and smirked. "And long after." He pulled out a little black box, "Will you marry me?"

Another collective gasp went through the audience. This time it was the girls who dug in there pockets and purses to hand over money to whom else, Homo. The boys weren't stupid enough to bet on this one. Shit they thought that their kind (men) where scared to pop the question. Half of their parents got married because their mothers were pregnant, not that they didn't love each other.

Kagome could not stop the tears from falling down her face. She dropped down onto her knees in front of InuYasha. "Of course, InuYasha. I promise myself to you from now to eternity. There's nothing that can make me change my mind. I love you and I want to be with you through thick and thin. And even death will not part us." She threw herself into his arms and they kissed.

Miroku cleared his throat, "You may want to save the vow for the wedding and the action for the bedroom." He smirked just before a red face Sango slapped the grin off his face.

Sango watched in awe as slipped a ring of white gold and the most beautiful diamonds on her finger. It looked as if it was made for a queen. Blue diamonds adorned the band around a beautiful big white diamond. The smile on Sango's face faded when she felt a familiar hand on her ass.
