InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Stuck to Fluff ❯ dunno... ( Chapter 10 )
Hey! Today is the same day I wrote Chappie 9 so I hope I can get this done by tomorrow. It is about 7:19 p.m. so I think I'll have enough time to finish this. After reading Chappie 9 over I realized how fast paced it became after Kagome and Sesshomaru were free. No body even cared that they were apart! It's a big deal. Luckily I can make it a big deal in this chapter with everyone questioning Kagome on how she was freed. Have fun and review!

Chappie 10
Kagome was already half way to the gardens when Miroku and Sango caught up to her gasping for air. Miroku pummeled her with questions on how she was able to free her hands from Sesshomaru. "Kagome how is it that you freed yourself from Sesshomaru?" Miroku asked.
Kagome was still feeling sad but was recovering. "I don't really know. I was crying a lot and I kept thinking that I wanted to go home and that I didn't want to be stuck to Sesshomaru anymore. Then my hands just popped off his shoulders" Kagome said thinking back to what had just occurred in the library.
"Amazing, it seems your strong will to be parted with Sesshomaru tapped into your miko powers and broke the spell" Miroku said. "I'm so glad you aren't stuck with Sesshomaru anymore, but is that why you were crying Kagome?" Sango asked. Kagome laughed slowly, "I guess I just lost it." Miroku and Sango nodded in agreement. They knew that every once in a while Kagome would blow her top. It was like a monthly ritual which usually occurred because of Inuyasha.
They arrived at the gardens and Kagome spotted Inuyasha on an oak tree close to where the children were playing with Kirara. (I completely forgot about Kirara! Let's just pretend she was with the kids the whole time). "Kagome you're not stuck to Sesshomaru anymore!" Shippo cried before colliding into her arms. Kagome smiled and petted his tail. "Well we found a cure…..sorta…" she said. Rin ran up to them followed by Kirara. Kirara jumped into Sango's arms and "mewed" while Rin hugged Kagome's leg. Rin looked around with her big chocolate eyes.
"Where's Sesshomaru-sama?" she asked looking big eyed at Kagome. "Uh…." Kagome said looking around. She looked at Sango and Miroku but they gave her a "We don't known" kind of look. "I'm not sure" Kagome said looking at her feet. Was Sesshomaru still mad at her? She wasn't mad at Sesshomaru anymore. What was the worst he would do? Then, the worst things he would do crossed her mind but she shook them away. "I'll go find him.
You guys can teach Sango how to play one of your games" Kagome said heading to the large castle after giving her best friend a "If Kirara can handle it then so can you" look. Followed by her mouthing the words "I owe you" while Rin and Shippo dragged her away.
Kagome walked up the stairs from the Main Hall to the library. She looked around and found that Sesshomaru had already left. She left the library and began wandering around the corridors for a while before she realized she was lost. She ran into Jakken while looking into Sesshomaru's study. It was quite the same as when she came before….except perhaps a bit messier. "What do you want filthy ningen?" he spat. "I want to know if you know where Sesshomaru is" Kagome said wrinkling her nose at the site of the ugly toad.
Jakken was surely going to tell her off but Kagome quickly said smiling "I mean, you must know everything about this castle and it's occupants. That's probably why Sesshomaru put you in charge." She was sure to emphasize "everything" in her sentence. After a while Jakken retrieved one of his cocky smiles and said, "Of course I know everything about this castle! How dare you think I don't know where my lord Sesshomaru is! Tamma!" A female rabbit youkai appeared and bowed saying, "How may I be of assistance?" "Take this girl to Lord Sesshomaru" Jakken said proudly before returning to the desk in front of him, which was piled with many scrolls.
"Please follow me" the rabbit youkai said leading Kagome out into the hall up many steps until they entered a very large room. "His lordship should be here soon. These are his living quarters" the rabbit said bowing then turning to leave the room.
Kagome looked around the room while waiting. It was huge, more than half the size of the Main Hall. She saw a huge king-sized futon with silks and lace. There were six large windows, which overlooked a large lake that Kagome had never seen. It also had a large closet that covered the whole wall. She slowly slid the door open and looked inside. It had many haories that looked uncanny to Sesshomaru's normal one except that these were blue, green, and Kagome saw a few that were completely black.
She closed the closet door and began looking at all the pictures on the walls. Most of them had a large white dog in it somewhere, which Kagome thought was Sesshomaru but one picture in particular caught her eye and she stood in front of it.
It was a painting of two people. The first was a beautiful woman with silver-blue hair with the same markings on her face as Sesshomaru. Kagome admired the young woman for a while before looking at the person in her arms. A smile graced Kagome's lips as she realized that the little boy who looked about eight or nine was none other than Sesshomaru. She was sure of it but was shocked when she realized he was smiling. "He looks good when he smiles" she said slowly.
She backed away from the painting and leaned against a wall and was surprised to hear running water coming from the walls. "Water coming from the walls?" she asked herself slowly. She put her ear against the wall and sure enough she could hear water. She followed the sound coming strongest from a painting that stretched from the ceiling of the room to the floor. She observed it for a while then pushed on it slightly. It didn't move. She sighed. She half expected it to open and reveal a secret room. She looked around and saw a bookshelf next to the large picture.
She read the titles of the many books and finally picked out a book titled "Lords of the Ages" but was very distressed to find that it wouldn't budge. She gave an annoyed cry and pulled the book with all her strength. It fell forward and Kagome gasped. The large painting slowly opened and she looked inside leaving the book forgotten. Inside was the most beautiful spring she had ever seen.
She had thought the spring that she and Sango had bathed in was nice but this spring was downright gorgeous! Marble floors with jeweled statues everywhere. Large paintings on the Champaign colored walls. The large hidden room was lighted with candles and the ceiling was made out of clear glass, which Kagome could see the clouds and sun. Kagome silently gasped at the size of this room. Every room in this castle was huge! This room was just as large as Sesshomaru's room.
She walked further inside and looked around. She saw no one and sighed. She heard a sound and lashed around and gave an "eep!" Sesshomaru was standing in front of her with his hair drenched and only wearing his silk pants. (<<those are the pants he usually wears with that haori lined in red with the little flower designs on the shoulder). "What are you doing here?" he asked her. She stood there drooling at him without his shirt on. His wet hair clung to the side of his face and bear chest.
"I didn't know where you went and I got worried so I asked that toad thing" she stuttered. He stepped closer to her and she stepped back. "Why were you crying?" he asked her emotionlessly. When was I crying? She asked herself. She remembered the incident in the library. "Oh- I was sad because of Inuyasha and I thought you were mad at me" she said looking at the ground. `I'm not mad at her…. I should ask her to stay!' Sesshomaru yelled at himself mentally.
"Are you and your group leaving soon?" he asked turning away and walking to a marble bench where a blue haori top was laying. "Yes, we must continue our search for the shards" she said looking up sadly. "I'm going to miss Rin" she said. "Yes, I'll have to find another play-mate for her since you'll be taking your kit. She tires of Jakken" he said slipping into the silk upper haori. Kagome thought about the small girl she had grown fond of.
"Thank you for letting us stay all this time" Kagome said. "It was quite an experience" he said motioning for her to follow him out into his room. "Will you be staying for dinner?" he asked closing the large painting to the spring. "Depends on Inuyasha and the rest" Kagome said following him out into the hall that she had followed the rabbit youkai to.
They walked in silence down the winding corridors until they came across a large window. Kagome looked out and saw everyone sitting in the garden she had left earlier. They were very high up. She suspected they were in a tower of some sort. She felt something wrap around her waist and she looked to see Sesshomaru holding her with his arm around her waist.
He picked her up bridal style and she said, "What are you- ahhhh!!!!!!!" Sesshomaru jumped out of the huge window and Kagome screamed. "Are you crazy?! We're going to die!!!!!" Kagome yelled at the top of her lungs. "Stop yelling, wench!" Sesshomaru yelled flinching at her high-pitched voice.
They landed gracefully and Sesshomaru dropped her onto the ground. Kagome landed with an "oof". She lashed around to tell Sesshomaru off and saw him rubbing his ears. "Must you yell so much?" he said angrily. She growled and retorted, "Next time you plan to jump out of a window that is one-hundred feet off the ground you should tell someone! Especially if you grab them and pull them along for the ride!"
He growled and walked away from her toward the fields where everyone was sitting. "How dare he!!" she cried angrily. She got up and dusted herself off before running to catch up to him.
They walked to where everyone was sitting and Kagome sat down next to Shippo and a tortured looking Sango. Rin immediately tossed her flower crown away and ran to Sesshomaru catching his leg in a hug. "Kagome-chan found Sesshomaru-sama!" Rin cried happily. "You were gone so long we were getting worried" Miroku said. "You won't believe how hard it is to find someone in there" Kagome said gesturing toward the large castle behind her.
Kagome turned to Sango who cried happily and evilly at the same time to Shippo and Rin, "Now you guys can show Kagome how to play your games! All 6,532 versions of `tag'." "Yay!!" both children cried. Kagome stopped breathing as the children approached her. "I'd love to but..but…..I promised Miroku that he would be able to play with you after Sango. He's much better being a monk and all….he can even show you the different meanings of flowers!" Kagome cried. The children stopped and ran to Miroku who leapt off the rock he was sitting on and began running.
"You're right Kagome! Miroku has already started playing tag!!" Shippo yelled while running after Miroku with Rin behind him. Kagome sighed heavily with relief. Inuyasha called out to her from the oak tree he was sitting on, which wasn't very far, saying, "So, when the heck are we leaving this place? You guys aren't together anymore are you? That's what I thought! So seeing as we've already wasted enough time making flower crowns" Inuyasha gestured towards the large pile of flower crowns left by Shippo and Rin, "we should get going don't you think?!"
Kagome looked at Sango who said, "If you want to I'm ready to leave."
Sesshomaru waited, listening to the group's conversation. Did he really want Kagome to leave him? What was he thinking?! She was leaving and all his feelings for her would leave, too.
