You came to me with a smile,

Talking about nothing for a while.

Then you ask the question of yes and no,

And I say yes, going with the flow.

You treat me like an ancient vase,

Being nice to me then any other face.

You tell me that I'm your heart and you love me,

I say, “There's a lock on my heart and you are the key.

I feel sad for your loss

And happy for your gain

I'm so jealous of your love

And sorrowful of your pain

I see your life, in my eyes

I feel your heart, beat and rise

You're my shining star in the dark night,

You're my very own angel who shines so bright

Is this how its going to end?

Just because of my hating friend?

She swings her hips and you stare,

I talk to other guys and you glare.

You tell me this isn't going to work,

And then you follow her like a dork.

I watch as you trail my best friend,

Knowing I have wounds to tend.

As I watch you leave my sight,

I can't guarantee you, you chose right.

You were the light that filled my heart,

But now you're just a twinkle in the dark.

As you pack your bags from the past,

I hope this is when I see you last.

I once thought I needed you to live

Now, you are a wondering memory to give.

After days of leaving me, you come to say,

“I'm sorry I left you. Take me back if you may.

She was too wild for me to hold,

Please, I know I'm being so bold.”

“If I ever say yes to you,

I will know what you would do.

If I say no, I will be happy today,”

I said in a low voice, walking away.

Love comes in many ways.

To find, it may take years or days.

For me, it came and went in an hour,

For my feeling of love turned all sour.
