CHAPTER 1: The Secret
"...And their off! Number 5 is in the lead-no wait number 4 is closing in and OH she takes the lead! WHAT'S THIS?! Number 2 has fallen! oh thats got to hurt!-"
kagome hits her alarm clock and groans " Naaaa! What's up with the horse race?" She whips her head around when she hears someone pounding on her door
"KAGOME!!! GET UP! YOU DON'T WANT TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL AGAIN DO YOU?!"
"I'M UP! I'M UP! Sheash! You don't have to be an ass about it Souta." She yells through the door. Kagome slowly sits up and pushes off her pink comforter. She
shuffles over to the bathroom, which is connected to her room, and undresses for her shower.
She adjusts the nob to the correct setting and steps in. Kagome lets the water slide down her face and soak her tired body. "Mm... this feels nice" she groans.
When she is done she wraps a towel around her naked body and steps in her to dry off. She walks to her closet, now fully awake, and pick out her uniform.
When she is all dressed she quicklydoes her hair and slips on her shoes.
At the breakfast table there is a place all set up for her with bacon and eggs with a glass of orange juice. "Mm! this looks great Mom! Thanks!" "No problem dear,
now just don't be late for school alright?" Mrs .Higurashi replys with a smile. Kagome scarffs the food down in record time and runs out of the front door saying
"Thanks for the food! I love you, and have a good day!" Mrs. Higurashi sighs and 'I should have told her... but I just couldn't ruin her day! I must her when she
gets home. I will. I MUST!'
Kagome was panting when she reached the school. DING! " Oh CRAP!" kagome ran through the bare hallways to her lit class. When she reached her distention she
knocked on the classroom door, cursing the fact that her teacher HAD to lock it... probly just to piss her off. The nearest student opened the door for her and
went to sit back down.
*Clears Thought* "Kagome Higrashi! May I inquire why you are late this morning?" Mrs. Iotusha said with a glare. "I'm terribly sorry! I tried to run as fast as I
could to get-" "-Well apparently you didn't run fast enough! Now take your seat before you waste any more of my time! Oh yeah... I almost forgot... DETENTION!"
Kagome gasped and quickly took her seat before her teacher got any more angry with her. 'Damn you souta!' Kagome thought. 'Why does this always happen to ME?
Why not Eri or Ann? UGH! My life is hard!'
"Ptsst! Kagome!" Kagome looked up to see a familiar hand wave in front of her face. "Are you ok? Class is over" "Yeah I just had a hard morning, thanks for asking
Sango." "No problem, that's what's friends are for."
"So, Kags?"
"Yeah, Sango?"
"Did you see the new guy?"
"No I didn't Sango why?"
"Oh, only because he is the HOTTEST guy in the entire planet!"
"NO WAY!"
"YES WAY!"
"Omg what is his name?"
"Sesshomaru."
Kagome's mouth dropped. Sesshomaru... from kinder garden? NO WAY! "Are you sure about this sango? His name is Sesshomaru?" "Of course! Why do you know
him?"Sango inquired. "Maybe..." Kagome said in a distant voice.
Sango and Kagome split up to go to their class. 'I wonder if it IS the Sesshomaru from Kindergarden. It would be nice to see how he looks all grown up."
Lost in thought kagome walked right into someone and fell with a thump. She looked up and staired. A beautifull man with waist long silver hair that looked so silky
that she had to restrain herself from running her hands through it to see if it felt as soft as it looked. On his face were two red stripes on each cheek and he had
a cresent moon on his brow. His eyes were made of molten gold. 'Thoes eyes...' "Sesshomaru?" Kagome said barily above aWhisper. She couldn't belive it! The man
she was just thinking about had just happened to be in the way of her wondering and she bumbed into him.'How embarsing!"

Sesshomaru was looking for his next class thinking about the love of his life. Kagome. They had been friends in kindergaren but ever sence he moved he couldn't
stop thinking about her. She was his light in the dark life he lived. He was remembering her laugh and how it make him smile, but he NEVER smiled now. Not ever.
He was minding his own business when someone bumbed into him. He was going to step around her but stopped when he heard a tiny voice say his name questionaly.
He looked down and his heart stopped, it was kagome. "Kagome," he said, voice full of normaly non-existant emotion, "how I've missed you!" with that he bent down
and scooped her in a warm hug.

'Oh god! He's hugging me!' Kagome thought. She sniffed in his musky sent, he smelled of the forest after the rain. Kagome pulled him closer and rested her head on
his sholder. "It's wonderfull to see you again Sesshomaru" Kagome whispered in his ear. When they pulled apart they saw they had an audiance. "Sango? What are
you doing here and why is your mouth opean?.... Oh... you haven't seen me hug a guy before?" Kagome said with a laugh. "Sango, Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru, Sango"
Kagome introduced her best friend to Sesshomaru with a smile. "Or have you two met?"
"No this Sesshomaru has never met this.... woman." Sesshomaru stated with a stotic voice. Kagome was startled. She has never seen him act so cold. 'Boy he has
changed sence I last saw him. At first I thought he was gengle and warm... maybe I was wrong.'
"Geze, Kagome you shure pick the greatest guys to hang with" Sango said sarcasticaly.
