With the nuke destroying the city. Laser Alloy finds himself in the heat of a battle with Lumine while X and the team's location remains unknown.

Laser Alloy looked at the humongous fireball that covered the city.
 
Millions of lives were lost in the bomb. With rage in his eyes, he
 
pointed at Lumine; I will kill you for this! You will pay with your
 
very life for taking away so many innocent ones. Oh please, spare
 
me the sermon; you will now see the power of the JQuada virus
 
replied Lumine. Lumine drew his weapons and fired at him. Laser
 
Alloy avoided it, firing back, hitting him in the leg. Ow! Oh yea,
 
take this, Paradise Lost shouted Lumine. Laser Alloy tried to avoid
 
it, but he ended up getting hit by part of the attack. How ya like
 
that puny Hunter? I like it like this replied Laser Alloy firing
 
rapidly. Lumine avoided most, but was eventually hit by one.
 
You're pretty good Hunter, but not good enough, let's finish this
 
shouted Lumine. Be glad too replied Laser Alloy. Lumine and
 
Alloy charged at each other full speed. Alloy drew his saber and
 
swung at him with a lot of strength. But he missed and instead
 
Lumine dug his sharp points into Alloy's chest, causing serious
 
damage. You're pathetic Alloy, I knew that was coming. Now, you
 
ready to surrender? Alloy deciding to bait Lumine said, yea, ok, I
 
surrender, just make it quick when you finish me off. Very well, so
 
long you stupid Hunter said Lumine lunging his weapon at him. At
 
the last moment, Alloy drew his Saber and hit him directly in the
 
middle, causing major damage. YOU! YOU TRICKED ME yelled
 
Lumine. Duh! You really think I was gonna let you finish me off?
 
You must be dumber than you look replied Laser Alloy. Grr, curse
 
you! You'll pay for this. This isn't the end, I'll be back and when I
 
do, you won't know what hit you said Lumine leaving to tend to
 
his injuries. Yeah, you better run you coward! Because next time,
 
I'm gonna send you to the junkyard shouted Laser Alloy at him.
 
Alloy then flew down and saw not a soul was left for miles; the
 
entire area was engulfed in flames. Luckily, Laser Alloy was high
 
enough that the flames did not consume him. He began to wonder
 
if X, Zero and his partner Amber had been hit by the blast. This 100
 
megaton bomb could have engulfed almost a hundred miles, I
 
must check in on them. Meanwhile, the president of the States
 
called Sama. What is the meaning of this Sama? I did as you
 
ordered. Why did you nuke part of our country? I'll tell you why,
 
you did not get rid of the fly on the wall. Fly on the wall? You're
 
referring to the Maverick Hunters aren't you? That's right; they
 
invaded my HQ and caused many casualties to my group, as well as
 
injuring me. If we're gonna have control of this country, you must
 
eliminate all threats. Is that understood? Yes, you want the
 
Maverick Hunters as outlaws now right? That's right Mr. President.
 
You have 48 hrs to do this, should you not comply, and we will
 
unleash another nuke on the next area we plan to target. Ok ok,
 
you win, I'll make new laws that anyone being a Maverick Hunter
 
must be prosecuted. You just don't get it do you? I don't want them
 
incarcerated, I want them destroyed! Do you get it now? Yes
 
Mr.Sama sir. You can count on me to do this. You better, for your
 
sake said Sama logging off. Those rotten Maverick Hunters! They
 
will not interfere any longer. It's because of them Sama nuked us!
 
I'll have our top police force after them and they annihilate em for
 
good! 30 minutes later, Laser Alloy continued to search for any
 
survivors and if his teammates were still alive. After 3 hrs of
 
searching and coming up empty, Laser Alloy realized he couldn't
 
go on much longer. The damage done to his armor was extensive.
 
He had to get repairs, so he flew back to Dr.Green. Meanwhile, X,
 
Zero and Amber had amazingly found shelter when the bomb hit.
 
Good thing we found this underground chamber just minutes
 
before touchdown. We would have been vaporized exclaimed X. I
 
guess Alloy couldn't stop the nuke in time, Sama is gonna win this
 
war if this keeps up said Amber with her head buried in her arms.
 
X put his hand on her shoulder, Amber, Hunters never give up. Not
 
even when things are grim. We will destroy Sama and his
 
diabolical schemes. Amber smiled, yea, you're right. Sorry guys,
 
it's just, I hate it when bad guys are winning the battles. It's not the
 
battles; it's the war that counts replied X. I know, thanks for
 
cheering me up X. I just hope we can get Zero some medical help in
 
time replied Amber. I know, don't worry, Zero is still hanging on.
 
If only we could get him back to Dr. Green's lab. Do you think
 
Alloy is ok asked X.? I'm sure he is. He's as tough as titanium
 
replied Amber. 3 hrs later, the president made an announcement:
 
my fellow citizens, this is a very grave time. Less than 6 hrs ago,
 
our beloved country was hit with another nuclear missile. Please be
 
assured, that I have found the solution to this crisis. Effective
 
immediately, all Maverick Hunter activity is officially banned.
 
They are to blame for our troubles. So, I urge all of you to report
 
any reploid portraying a Maverick Hunter to the authorities
 
immediately. And I give this warning to any Hunters who are
 
listening. If you are caught, you will be terminated on sight. Thank
 
you my citizens. You can be assured we will not be hit with
 
anymore nukes. The crowd cheered as the president left waving to
 
them. That rat! I swear I want to vaporize him steamed Laser Alloy
 
turning off the TV back at Dr.Green's lab. As much as I'd like that
 
too, you would be no better than he is. Rest assured, once we
 
destroy Sama, the President will be going to jail for life replied Dr.
 
Green. I know, I just wish if I knew X and the team is ok said Laser
 
Alloy. Hmm, maybe you can locate them, when I was repairing X
 
and Zero, I put an untraceable tracking device inside their body.
 
Perhaps you should use it to find them and bring em here. They'll
 
need protection now that the Maverick Hunters are wanted
 
outlaws. Got it doc, you can count on me said Laser Alloy taking
 
off to find the signal. Meanwhile, back at the underground shelter,
 
X decided to see if it was safe to move back to level ground. Wait
 
here guys, I'm gonna go see if it's safe to walk on the ground. Ok,
 
come back soon replied Amber. X looked around and saw the
 
smoke and radiation was tolerable. Looks like the coast is clear
 
better see if I can find some help. After walking for about 10
 
minutes, he found nothing. The nuke took out everything;
 
radiation levels are really high according to my computer sensors.
 
Good thing robots are immune to most of the effects. Maybe I can
 
find someone who escaped the bomb. Then, out of nowhere, a ray
 
blast nearly hit X. what the…. Huh? No way! Axl!? Well well, long
 
time no see X. I've been waiting to for this moment for a long time
 
said Axl grinning evilly. Huh? What are you talking about Axl?
 
When we found out you left the medical center without telling us,
 
we got worried. What happened to you demanded X. if you must
 
know, I got an upgrade, a super upgrade! I'm more powerful now
 
than I ever was. You get it now X said Axl laughing. X couldn't
 
believe his ears. What are you saying Axl? That you're now a
 
Maverick? X, please, that term is out of date. I'm part of the JQuada
 
reploids now, and now I'm here to ask you to join forces with the
 
great Sama. With you on our side, we can conquer the world. Axl,
 
my answer is NEVER! I'll never join forces with such a slime bag
 
Maverick! I will destroy him and you too if it comes down to it!
 
Well well, look at the big shot here! You think you can destroy
 
Sama? Why don't you prove to me your awesome firepower right

The fight was on. Axl fired his machine ray gun at X rapidly. X
 
jumped out of the way firing his blaster back at him. Nice try, now
 
take this shouted Axl firing more aggressively. X used fancy
 
footwork and hit him with a well timed charge shot. Arrgh, not
 
bad, but now try this on for size shouted Axl firing a broader range
 
of attacks. X tried to avoid them all, but could not, he was hit and
 
injured. Ha! How you like them apples? I told ya I was stronger.
 
Should have listened to me in the first place. Now I'm gonna give
 
you one more chance. You gonna join us? Well, let me think, my
 
answer is….. NEVER shouted X firing a max charged blast at Axl,
 
causing him major damage, he then fell to the ground too weak to
 
get up. Never underestimate me Axl, now I'm gonna… just then, X
 
was hit by a blast from a mysterious foe. What the? You again? It
 
was Red, the leader of the Red Alert Squad. Well well X, I can see
 
you are indeed strong defeating Axl, but you won't defeat my
 
entire team. do yourself a favor and surrender. Get it through your
 
thick titanium skull Red; I'll never join forces with Maverick scum
 
like you shouted X. very well then, team, destroy this pathetic
 
Maverick Hunter ordered Red. They surrounded X and prepared to
 
fire. Just then, Laser Alloy showed up, finding X with the tracking
 
device. Hey Red Clowns, get ready for a blasting shouted Laser
 
Alloy. What the? Oh look, another hunter to destroy. Get em boys
 
ordered Red. The Red Alert team fired at Laser Alloy aggressively,
 
he dodged the attacks, charging his blaster and firing a big blast at
 
Red Alert. The explosion sent the team scattering and in pieces.
 
You think you're so tough you green pest? Take me on right here,
 
right now demanded Red. Be glad to, let's do it shouted Laser Alloy
 
drawing his saber. Red flew in the air and prepared an aerial
 
attack. Alloy timed his approach and took a swing at Red dive
 
bombing him. But he missed, he tried again, only to miss again and
 
taken some damage. Ha! You're saber techniques are pathetic
 
Alloy! I'm gonna finish this now! Red dive bombed again, this time
 
Alloy swung one way, but finished another, cutting deeply into
 
Red's right arm. Why you! With Red's arm deeply severed, he
 
called his team to retreat. This isn't the end green pest! I'll get you
 
one way or another! Go cry about it to your scientist Red, you're
 
such a baby! You talk big now, but when the JQuada group is fully
 
assembled, you're gonna be shaking in your boots. So long big
 
mouth, shouted Red as he left with his team. wait, we gotta get Axl
 
back said X. oh yea right, hey Red, drop Axl right now or I'm gonna
 
turn your crew into shreds demanded Laser Alloy. Fine, we don't
 
need him anyway! He was always lagging behind even with the
 
JQuada virus! And with those words, Red's team dropped Axl on
 
the ground and left. We gotta get Axl back to Dr. Green. Maybe he
 
can get rid of the virus in him said X. good idea, and I gotta get
 
Zero back before he dies replied Laser Alloy. Let's get going said
 
Amber. The Hunters then left for Dr. Green's underground
 
laboratory to get repairs and prepare for the final showdown.
 
Meanwhile, back at Sama's HQ, a member reported the latest news.
 
Laser Alloy and the team defeated Vile, High Max, Lumine and
 
Red Alert. These Hunters are really giving us a headache. Sama
 
slammed his fist on the table. Curse them! I make them stronger
 
and they still couldn't beat em? I think its time we turn up the heat
 
on these troublesome pests! I want you to deliver 3 nuclear bombs
 
to secret locations. Make sure these pests are too busy trying to
 
defuse them that we will catch them off guard and finish them off!
 
Then we will take over everything and make everyone submit to
 
our regime or die! Sama then began laughing evilly
 
 
The country is in perilous times. Where exactly are these nukes gonna be sent? Can X and Laser Alloy get Zero help along with Axl? Will Sama win this war? Find out in Chapter 9
