Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Determined Shinobi: Lee and Hinata ❯ False Mission ( Chapter 1 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Lee couldn't help but wonder how this was possible. His entire life he had believed hard work was the way to strength. After Naruto fought with Sasuke on the retrieval mission he heard of the fight betweem Sasuke and Naruto. He even new that Sasuke had won. He wouldn't let himself fall this far behind a genious. He needed to prove to himself that he could become stronger through hard word. He wouldn't except that a genious could surpass him like that. He had finally become stronger than Neji by far, but he couldn't touch some one like sasuke. So right after Naruto left with Jiraiya, he went to visit the Hokage.

Hinata couldn't stand it anymore. She was always the weak link. If there was a failure in the mission, it was her fault. She was shy, timid, and weak. She wanted only to gain the strength to get Naruto to acknowledge her, and here she wasn't doing it. Naruto had just left with Jiraiya, so Hinata decided to go talk to the Hokage about some special training.

"Ms. Tsunade," said a Shinobi walking into her office, "we have a request from both Rock Lee and Hyuuga Hinata to see you, what should I tell them?"
"Well," asked Tsunade, "I wonder what they could possibly want? Did they come together?"
"It doesn't seem like it," the man replied.
"Interesting, send them in," the Shinobi nodded to Tsunade and sent Lee and Hinata into the office.
"So, what do you to want," asked Tsunade.
"You can go first, um.... what your name?" Lee asked Hinata.
"Im H--hyuuga Hinata," she said.
"Oh, your Neji's cousin, I saw you fight at the Chuunin Exams. You did great," Lee said giving her a thumb's up.
"B-but I l-lost," she said.
"So what?" asked Lee, "Thats the first time up until that point that I have seen some one fight Neji like that, sure you lost but at the time he was said to be the strongest Genin there was."
"T-thank you," said Hinata blushing a little, "by the way, who are you?"
"The name is Rock Lee!" he said striking his nice guy pose.
"Thats enough introduction," interupted Tsunade, "Im a very busy women so make it quick, Hinata?"
"Um, I was wondering, if you would let me, um.. go out and do my own training," she stuttered.
"Don't you do that anyway?" asked Tsunade who was now very curious.
"I mean.." Hinata briefly stopped before she continued, "away from the village for a while."
"I'm sorry Hinata, but i couldn't let you do it. The only way i would promit it is if at least a Jounin went with you," replied Tsunade, not happy about having to say that.
"How strange, I am also here to request that," said Lee, who suddenly got an Idea, "I know! I may not be Jounin, but why dont' we go together. I promise if you let me I will protect Hinata with my life," he said striking a nice guy pose. Hinata turned bright red when he did this.
"I really wish i could, but the only way is if I lied and said you two went on a mission together," Tsunade said, now quite upset.
"Um, Tsunade-sama, w-why don't you then?" said Hinata, which surprised Tsunade.
"Well, I didn't know you had such a devious little mind Hinata, very well, you two will go on a mission tommorow. I will even send a messenger and everything. That way we will be the only three who know. Now get some rest you two, the longest I'm letting you guys stay away is three years," Tsunade said Smiling.
Three years? Hinata thought, Why so long.
"So we will be here in time to help with Akatsuki, Right?" asked Lee.
"Bingo, now go home," said Tsunade.
"See you tommorow Hinata-Chan," said Lee as he ran home. Hinata simply bowed to Tsunade and left.
"I hope i don't regret this in the morning," said Tsunade.

The next day Lee and Hinata arrived at the gates of Konoha. They had gotten the message and prepared to leave. Two people that hardley knew eachother were about to embark on an adventure, while the rest of Kohona would think that they left to learn new jutsu's from Ninja that were never with one country that simply trained themselves our abonded other Villages to enhance the strength of Kohona. Sure this was the longest any Nin had been sent on such a mission, expecially two that had such little experience. The two Ninja looked at eachother and walked off into the morning sun, seeing what awaited them in the world.
