Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Waking ❯ cracking eyes ( Chapter 7 )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

Technical: this is a rewrite of the LJ community “nsn_roundrobin.” Anyways, this is from the “serious, plot-driven story.” So, Waking is a blend of LJ user etsumilau's “Icha Icha Paradise” (Chapter One), and LJ user blck_hyacinth's “Infection (Chapter Two). Seeing that I wrote the third chapter (which some of you may or may not have read), I couldn't let my section of the story stand still...so, being the bored kid I tend to be, I wrote. Please note, though, that this is largely new prose, with some quotes from our celebrated author's chapters. While there is a huge emphasis from their works on the first ten sections (25 pages or so), it is primarily my words, and not stuff you've read. So, don't forget to follow the Main RR's progress, `cause we're going completely different directions, I'm sure. XD

Chapter Seven, Sasuke…by Taes

My eyes open.

At once I realize it. My whole body felt like it'd been torn in two, defiled, broken, then shoved together in the fires of a forge…

...I wake with his arms near me, reaching to take me from here, take me away and fill me up with lies.

No, I refuse to let him force me from my dreams… “Sharingan,” I hiss, trying to delve out exactly what was going on…

I freeze…I wait…

Nothing.

Orochimaru's voice isn't anywhere near. I can't feel him, but something lurches in my stomach when

blue eyes

fasten on me.

I smirk, pull my hands together, and call upon the power I've gathered, the wonders I've met and sealed in my eyes, he can't possibly fathom the depths of me, the power I've rolled around me and wrapped so close, so pure and

me.

I can feel his anger, sense his skin burning as red chakura flares around wounded arms and legs, but I can't stop—how'd he get here? Hurt? Why?—can't stop, can't embrace him with vicious love or consuming hatred, only power, only

flesh

as we spring at each other, hands armed with jutsu so lethal we could tear the world asunder, both of us filled with chakura so terrible it laps at we

two.

Before we know it, one of us has lead the other in an all-consuming dance, started the fray that leaves us hurting, rotting, bleeding

death

or only sweet, sultry

power.

My Naruto, he thinks he's grown up, past me and my line's genius? How can he, when he's a know-nothing brat with broken

soft, lips

and glass for eyes? See through everything, take in nothing god-damned, angel-taken, blue eyes. Pull me tighter, idiot mine, make me wish I never knew

you, with your silken hair and smooth skin…

…damn your eyes, devil… is this what you think? When I throw myself at you, arm after foot after jutsu so full of hate. It must surely lick at your warm and forgiving soul, you dead last idiot…don't you feel it? Challenge me, don't pull back your hand. Feel me dance against you,

like opening your eyes in a dream

isn't that what you think, when you look at me?

Orochimaru…what is your plan?

I sneer at the blond idiot before me instead of asking the question. I lash out with ferocity that he matches with low growls and fearsome snarls.

“Sasuke,” a deep, feminine voice purrs in my ear. I am glad, but for an instant I wonder if it's him again, so I

tear

my glance away from the sun to better glimpse the fog, that gray-tinted girl with steel eyes and gray hair, a cloud to his star, but shapely, soft,

comforting?

Never.

We bend together, she and I, this sweet snake-charmer with gray hair and cunning eyes. She disarms the bunshin Naruto's created with ease, irritation on her gray face, and I take on the red-eyed demon crouching before me—my throat constricts with fear—as he lets loose chakura that knows no bounds.

“Sasuke, you idiot,” the fox boy grits his teeth as I wear him down.

I rip clothing and skin with my hands, angered by his use of my name when no one has called me anything but Orochimaru-sama whenever I take a glimpse through his mind.

Smoke would claim me as hers, I can feel it, but I am Orochimaru…just as the cloud is really only water. With backs pressed tight, we begin a dance of bodies so intimately known and lusciously found out, my idiot partner and one-time, would-be lover.

I laugh, startling both, and wonder, which is which?

Who is who?

The thought has fled as I fall to the stone-littered ground, realizing at once the gashes in my thigh for his kunai—when did I break my leg? He's surprised me yet again, with some foreign jutsu that rips my flesh and tears me down, like a marionette with no strings…

As I lay there, looking up at him and his frustrated eyes, I see the scarlet river of blood from her mouth,

look,

the knife has
claimed
a home, see,
there in her belly
as the wondrous
snake-charmer
dances her last,
surely

not

dead.

My head screams of agony, my words blur in my mouth, and damn him, blue eyes

laugh at me.

Damn your eyes, devil…

…damn your eyes…
