This is a poem I wrote about my feelings toward becoming an adult at a time where I'd rather not.

A New Day: By mw113165

It's time for a new day
Where everyone's the same
And on this new day you can't be judged by your name
To see this new day will give outsiders hope
This new day will help the strugglers cope

I'll look in the eyes of the child that can see this
Secretly wishing I could be this
But the stage has been set and painted
And my lines have been written

Now the hand that has fed me has just been bitten
It's time to appear, and pave the way
For the children who can claim the new day.
