The morning was quiet
No sound was heard
I lay in my bed in a silent sleep
I dreamt of sweet things I would wish to keep
When I was awaken by a crawling sensation
I opened my eyes to a terrifying sight
Three long and black spiders were on my bed
Crawling their way up towards me
I jumped from the bed and flew out the room
Until I reached my mothers door

Whenever I pass that house
I think of spiders all around
As I think back on that time
I see myself scared
Because of those spiders
I always have been afraid of the dark

As the years passed by
I found that spiders are not scary at all
I am somewhat grateful to the spiders
For it showed me to true fear
I learned that there are more dangerous fears
Like loosing a relative or seeing someone getting killed
I finally understand that and for showing me this
I thank the spiders for opening my eyes
