Chapter 1

The Flee

“Sheena, help me! They're going to take me away! They already took mama and papa!” a young girl, no more than seven or eight years of age, wearing a long white dress and matching ribbon in her hair, comes running up to a spirit draped in gold and pure white feathers. “Don't worry Sakura. They won't take you away, for I am going to protect you, no matter what.” Just as she grabbed hold of the spirit, the villagers run into the chamber, telling each other to grab her and not to let her escape. The spirit, keeping true to her word, turned around while holding onto the child, shook her head, and disappeared in a shower of brilliant gold and white feathers.
