“M-mom? Mom, wake up!” — normal speech

“H-how could this happen?!” — thoughts

five years later — timeskip

~~~~Lights, Camera, ACTION!~~~

“Mom! Mom! Come on, come on!” A little boy was hopping up and down, energetic and excited. “I’m coming, I’m coming, calm down, Chrono.” A shapely woman, clearly his mother, walks down the stairs in a t-shirt and jeans. “Come on, to the car.” she says. “Wait, what? You aren’t going to run us there?” Chronomatsu asks, confused. “What? Oh, baby, no. You know the law, no quirk usage unless it’s for hero work. Also, my clothes would burst into flames, so… no running there.” she says, grinning. “Awwwww! But I wanna see your quirk!” she ruffles Chrono’s hair, chuckling. “Heh, I know, kiddo, I know, but not today. Today is all about your quirk. Today, we find out what you can do.” Chrono sighs, disappointed. “But I wanted to see mom’s quirk!” Despite the complaint, Chrono dutifully walks out to the car.

“Matsuno?” the doctor calls into the waiting room. “Oh, that’s us, Chrono!” Kayamatsu stands and Chrono follows suit. “Okay, mom.” They follow the doctor into the examination room. “Alright, kid. Now, all i have to do is take some blood. It’ll only hurt a little, okay?” he says with a kind smile. “Okay, mister!” Chrono says brightly. “Huh. brave kid you have here, ma’am.” the doctor states as he takes some of the blood in Chrono’s arm. “Thanks, doctor.” Kaya says, smiling lightly. “Ok, give me 5 or so minutes, kid.” “Okay!”

five minutes later 

“Ok, I’m back. Well, kid, I have good news.” “Really? What is it, what is it?” Chrono jumps up and down excitedly. “Chrono, what have I told you about jumping so much?” Kaya reprimands. Chrono stops, looking down in disappointment. “Not to do it, because it could hurt me.” He says, pouting. “Actually,” the doctor cuts in. “that hopping might help you in the long run, kid.” Chrono looks up, confused, as Kaya looks at the doctor questioningly. “Your quirk is called parkour, kid. You can make jumps normal people can’t, and you could, potentially, run across the roofs of the city from one end to the other. Your body is lighter, and therefore faster. In all honesty, you could probably rival the hero couple, The Movement Duo.”

Chrono’s eyes sparkle as he looks up at his mom. Kaya laughs, ruffling his hair. “You hear that, kid? With enough training, you could catch up to me and your dad.” “cool!” Chrono exclaims, as they walk out. After they leave, the doctor moves back to the blood. “All that’s well and good, but… that’s not something I’ve seen before, ever.” he looks at the blood, using his quirk, causing a blue holographic screen to pop up that states, quite clearly
