“Satoshi-kun, are you ready yet?” Wataru stood outside the room, worriedly. “The ceremony starts in ten minutes!”
“I'm coming.” The Sekiei Champion called. He finished adjusting his hat, before he scooped up his sleeping Pikachu in his arms. The Ryuu no Meiji-sama narrowed his eyes as he rushed out.
“You are not wearing that to the awards ceremony.” He said flatly.
“Why not, Wataru-san? I think it looks nice.”
“Satoshi-kun, pink is truly not your color. Neither is orange. I am not sure who picked that suit for you, but they were obviously colorblind. You're supposed to wear black or indigo!”
“I am?” Satoshi blinked.
“Didn't you read the memo I sent you?”
“Ah… I forgot.” Satoshi scratched his head sheepishly, and Wataru sighed.
“Well, we have to hurry. I suppose you can wear something of mine.” Satoshi gaped at Wataru, who was already opening the door to his chambers.

“Sugoi…” He breathed, staring at the décor. Wataru had already moved to the closet and was rifling through it, trying to find something that would fit. Hmm, this would do…
“Here, put this on.” He thrust the suit at Satoshi, who sighed and obligingly began to change. He was doing quite well, and as Wataru glanced at his watch again, he was unprepared for Satoshi to shriek.
“Nani desu ka?”
“There's a spider! Get it out!” Satoshi started patting himself all over, looking nothing short of terrified. Wataru raised his eyebrows, but walked over and began brushing him off. Satoshi twitched and jumped a few times, but no spider emerged. Wataru shook his head. The boy was probably overreacting…
That was when Satoshi made a flying dash for his bathroom. Wataru glanced at his watch again. Well, at this rate, they were both going to be late. He waited patiently for five minutes, before he sighed and went inside.
“Satoshi-kun, what are you doing?” He demanded. He flung the door open, only to catch sight of the Champion with his pants down. Wataru stared, speechless, while Satoshi blushed to the tips of his ears.

“W-Wataru-san…”
“Satoshi-kun, I am going to turn around and pretend I didn't see this.” Wataru finally said. Satoshi heard the click of the bathroom door closing, and looked mortified.
Well, they would definitely not make it now, unless he decided to drag out the Sekiei Champion in his current state of undress!
Wataru sighed, leaning against the wall. What on earth was the boy thinking? Was he thinking at all? Lugia only knew…
He closed his eyes and tried to ignore the roar of the audience outside Sekiei Kougen. He hoped that Kanna and Kikuko could cover for him.
< Kanna, I do not think our Ryuu no Meiji-sama or our Champion will be showing up. > Kikuko said. < Unless they're planning to teleport… >
Kanna sighed. * Good thing I have a copy of Satoshi's speech with me then. * She took a deep breath, and began to speak. Flashbulbs popped.
And so it continued…

Satoshi finally emerged, red-faced. Wataru cast a sideways glance at him. “What was that all about, Champion? You're not normally this irresponsible.”
“Gomen ne, Wataru-san!”
“It has nothing to do with me.” Wataru said sternly. “I am simply confused. This is an important event, but you are missing it…”
“I…”
“Wasn't being Pokemon Champion your dream? What changed?”
“Wataru-san, I… I wanted…” Satoshi swallowed. “I wanted you to give me the Champion's Badge, but… I didn't want anyone else to see.”
There. It was out.

Shy? He had never expected this from the Masara trainer. Still, it was nothing truly serious. “I understand then.”
“You do?”
Wataru smirked as he held out his hands. A tiny golden badge gleamed, a letter P surrounded by a spray of laurel on each side. “Yes.”
Satoshi colored, as Wataru bent over and pinned the badge to the lapel of his suit. “Now then, Champion… what else did you want from me?”
“N-Nani?”
“Surely you would not have put on this adorable act if you only wanted the badge.” Wataru purred, backing Satoshi up against the wall. “Did you perhaps want something… like this?”
Satoshi stared, as Wataru leaned forwards and kissed him. “H-Hai?”
They never did make it to the Ceremony.
