AN: I don’t know why or how…but I’m starting to pull characters from other Power Ranger seasons into the story. Don’t worry, some of them have a reason for being in the story…that will be revealed in time. J

Note: “*…*” means Animarium or Hunter language and *…* means talking mentally.

Celine was watching Ebony…though the Sacred Pool in the Temple.

‘What is it about her…that reminds me of *him*,’ she thought as she fingered the lace of her Enchantress dress of light violet and white. Since meeting Ebony, Celine wonder where she has seen her before…or why Ebony reminds her of a Hunter who left long ago.

Just then, Danny and Alyssa appeared in the Temple near her.

Celine looked at them and said, “Alyssa, how’s Tia this morning?”

“Ok…and worried about Ebony,” Alyssa replied, “I sent one of the bodyguards to stay with her until Frank is back in prison. I talked with Taylor and she said that Danny stopped Frank…before he could rape her.”

Danny took a deep breath, relived that what he feared…didn’t happen.

“However,” Alyssa added as she took a quick look at Danny, “From my studies in Psychology, Ebony is in shock…and thinks she was raped. A mental rape is as harmful as the real thing. It’ll take time before she can recover.” True on that fact.

“Sadly time is not with us,” he said.

Celine knew what he meant before saying to him, “Don’t worry, the Wild Bison and myself can handle the darkness in your Soul…but you have to maintain control of your anger. The darkness uses that to make itself stronger. If you want Ebony, you have to give her space and time to come to you.”

As much as Danny wanted to disagree, he knew she was saying the Truth. With a nod, he walked to the Pool to watch Ebony.

Alyssa stood near Celine and said softly, “By the way…who’s Adam?”

Celine quickly looked at her saying, “Where did you hear that name?”

“Well…” Alyssa said shyly, “Cole brought it up a week ago when he said Ebony looks like Adam. When I asked him who Adam is, Cole wouldn’t tell me.”

Celine knew that Lifemates are Truthful and never keep secrets from each other.

However, this was a Secret that was a must to keep.

“I can’t say much for now, but Adam is a Hunter who left the Valley about 30 years ago. He was trained by all of us…and so dearly missed,” Celine said, “Cole’s not to blame, we all choose to not think of Adam. Sometimes…he comes up in our thoughts.”

“I understand,” Alyssa replied before she headed out of the Temple.

“Alyssa,” Celine said as she stopped the Tiger Hunter, “Don’t take it in a bad way. There were other Hunters who were with me and the others when were place under the Spell that lasted a thousand years. About 30 years ago, Adam and three other Hunters left the Valley when there was reports of orgs in other places. They left…and we haven’t heard from them since.”

“You feared the worst,” Alyssa said, “Listen, they might have a good reason for staying away. Plus, we know of one Hunter who had a Family…and I’m proof that there’s hope for us.”

“You’re right,” Celine said warmly, “You are proof that there is hope for the Wild Hunters. Go to the house and get some rest, you earned it.”

Alyssa gave her a warm smile before leaving the Temple.

‘She’s right, I can’t lose hope,’ Celine thought as she look back at Danny, ‘As long as they’re out there, we might have a chance against the orgs.’

After a while, she left the Temple to cheek on the Wild Animals.

Ebony was amazed as she was walking though the house.

After getting dress in violet jeans, white shirt and sneakers; she left her room to find the kitchen. However she was amazed at all the things in the house.

She walked into the living room and saw the piano near a grand window. She went to the piano and played a few keys, hearing the melody she was making. She sat at the piano and started to play a Melody she knew all her life. Every time she plays that Melody, she always calm down and feel better.

As she continue playing…a Memory came to mind.

‘I can’t believe he forgot again,’ seven year old Ebony thought as she walked home from school. She was mad at her step-father for not picking her up after school…on a rainy day.

‘At least I remember I left my raincoat in my locker,’ she added as she reached her house.

After entering the house and taking off her raincoat and school bag, she went to the kitchen to get a snack. She open the refrigerator…to find it empty.

“He even forgot to go buy food this morning,” she said as she check the pastry to see it empty.

She went to the living room and sat on the couch, feeling sad and hungry. She knew that when her Mom is out of town for her job, Frank lacks off on the house work. She had to learn to wash her clothes and microwave meals in a hurry.

“Now what am I going to do?” she said tearfully, “He won’t be back until tonight.”

Just then, the doorbell rang.

She got up to go to the front window and saw a young man standing there. ‘He looks nice,’ she thought as she saw something in him…that made her Trust him.

She went to the front door and open it.

The young man was surprised to see her, but he smiled as he kneel in front of her. “Well…hello,” he said, “and who are you? I thought this was Tanya Starr’s house.”

AKA Tanya Sloan from PRZ…only she’s Tanya Starr here.

“That’s my Mommy’s name,” Ebony said, “I’m her Daughter, Ebony Starr.” She saw how Friendly he was with his curly black hair around his beige skinned face and brown-violet eyes. While wearing a black shirt, jeans and boots; he looked Strong and Gentle.

He notice the look in her eyes and said, “What’s wrong Ebony? Why are you crying?”

She looked at him for a second…before she started crying.

“Hey…its going to be ok,” he said as he gave her a hug, noticing that she was cold, “Come on. Let’s get you inside before you get sick.” He picked her up and carried her in the house. “Anyway, I’m Adam,” he said as he closed the door with his foot, “a Friend of your Mother. I was in the area and thought I drop by to see her.”

…Yep, I mean Adam Park…only he has different last name in my story…which will be revealed in time. J

“My step-father forgot to buy food,” Ebony said as she hugged his neck, “He works late and I’m so hungry.”

“Don’t worry,” Adam said as he sat on the couch, “I’ll take care of that right now.”

He grabbed the phone and called the supermarket with an order for grocery.

She was surprised at how he knew what was needed…and even added a treat for her.

After he finished the phone call, he held her in his arms and hummed a Melody that made her stop crying. “Feel better?” he asked as he brushed back her hair.

“Yea,” she said as she looked at Adam, “but how am I going to pay for everything?”

“Don’t worry little one,” he said, “I’ll take care of everything. Now, let’s see if we can get you dry and warm.”

With his help, she drank some hot mint tea before going to change into dryer clothes.

She was coming out of her room when she heard the front door opening. She went to the living room to see Adam pay the delivery guy.

“Thanks for the fast delivery,” Adam said, “I pay you back someday.”

“No problem,” the guy said.

After he left, Adam picked up the box and carried it to the kitchen.

Ebony was surprised that he picked up the box like it was a pillow. She followed him to the kitchen and said, “You’re strong…like a super hero.”

“Only for those who are in need,” he said as he put the food away, “Now, check what I got for you.”

She looked in the box and saw that he got a sub sandwich for two. “Italian?” she asked hopefully…since it was her favorite sandwich.

“Why not. It’s the best sub around,” he said with a smile.

‘I wonder where he is now,’ she thought on the memory faded, ‘I miss him.’

She stop playing and looked at a Gold Ring with an Oval Opal Stone in it. She smiled at the Memory on how she got the Ring.

“Thank you for helping me,” Ebony said as she closed her math book, “It takes me forever to understand math.”

“Well…now you know the tricks to make it fun,” Adam said.

After having dinner, he helped her with her homework and had a good time at it.

Noticing the time, he stood up and said, “Now I better get going before your step-dad gets home.”

“Will I see you again?” she asked hopefully.

He kneed near her and said, “Maybe…but I’ll make sure you get the help you need.”

From his jean pocket, he pulled out a chain that had a Gold Ring with an Opal Stone. He put the chain around her neck as he said, “This Ring was given to me by my Mother. It will keep you safe and help you in what you need when people see it.”

She looked at the Ring, seeing how beautiful the Opal is, before she gave him a hug.

He return the hug and said softly, “Te Ámor, mi Estrella.” (I Love you, my Star.)

Ebony smiled at the memory and how True his words were. When anyone saw her Ring, they gave her what she needed…even when she was living on the street…and they never asked for anything in return.

Now…she wonder why that was…and where Adam is now.

She let the thought go as she went back to playing.

“That’s a nice Melody,” a soft voice said, surprising Ebony. She looked to see Celine entering the room.

“Sorry, but I couldn’t help it,” Ebony said as she stood up.

“It’s ok, I don’t mind,” Celine replied, “I once sang the song that goes with that Melody…a long time ago…”

Ebony knew that was more to her words, but let it go. “Anyway, I was on my way to the kitchen to get something to eat…but there was so much to see,” she said, “When I saw the piano…well…you know the rest.”

Celine couldn’t help but smile at her before saying, “That happens to me at times too, so I understand. Come on, I’ll show you the kitchen…since I could use something to eat.”

Ebony return the smile before following her out of the room.

As they entered the kitchen, Ebony saw Danny with Cole and Merrick at the table.

“Hey Ebony,” Cole said as he got to his feet, “How are you this morning?”

“Better,” Ebony said shyly, “Just a little hungry.”

“Good thing I cooked extra this morning,” he replied, “Just have a seat and I’ll make up a plate.”

Ebony went to sit next to Danny as Cole and Celine exchange a look.

“I talked to Tia this morning and she’s ok,” Danny said, “She woke up with a headache, but the doctor said she’ll recover in a few days.”

“Thanks goodness,” Ebony said, “I was so worried about her. The cut looked so big…”

“The doctor said it looked worst that it was,” Merrick added, “She just has to rest the next few days and take her medication.”

“In the meantime, you’ll be staying here,” Celine said, “It’s the best place for you and there’s room to spare.”

“If you don’t mind,” Ebony said, “I guess I’ll stay.”

Then, without warning, she felt a strong hand on her shoulder.

In reaction, she hit back hard before getting to her feet. She turned around…to see who was behind her.

“Man…what was that for?” Max said as he was double over. With his short black hair, brown skin and brown eyes; Max is youthful and full of energy. He looked strong in his dark blue shirt, jeans and boot.

However, he was in pain from Ebony’s hit…in a painful spot.

AN: boys, you know where on the male body…I’m talking about. I once hit a guy there…while sitting in a chair, so what Ebony did is possible. ;)

Ebony got a shock look on her face…at what she did to him.

“Max,” Celine said as she got to his side, “Let’s go and talk…elsewhere.”

Merrick got the clue as he went to help Max out of the room.

After they left the kitchen, Ebony sat down in her seat and said, “I can’t believe I did that.”

“It’s ok,” Danny said, “He didn’t know about what happened to you last night. He didn’t mean to scare you like that.”

“I can’t believe it,” she said tearfully as she had her face covered with her hands, “I didn’t mean to do it.”

*I’m out of here,* Cole said Mentally as he place the plates of food on the table, *Do what you have to…for your Lifemate.*

Danny nodded to him before Cole left. As slowly as he was able, he moved close to her and held her in his arms.

She lean into his hug and put her arms around him. He rubbed her back in a way that calm her down.

*That feel so good,* he heard her say Mentally.

*Same here,* he replied.

Ebony backed away from Danny, surprised that he talked to her…in her mind.

“It’s ok,” he said, “I did say something to you…in your mind. It’s a Gift I have…the same Gift you have.”

“Really?” she said, “Like…when I know something about someone?”

“Yes,” he said, “You have no idea…how Special you are in the world…and to me.”

As much as she didn’t understand, in her Soul she knew what he meant. “Even after…what I did to Max?” she said shyly.

“I’ll let you in on a secret,” he replied, “Me and the guys get it worst when we practice Marshal Arts against Taylor and Celine…and Alyssa is not far behind in that area.”

Ebony laugh at the picture of Alyssa winning against the guys. “I guess everything has a bright side,” she said, “and…not being the only person with the Gift.”

“If you want, I can teach you how to use your Gift,” he said as he pushed a plate towards her, “That is…after you have something to eat.”

“I guess you’re right…and I‘ll take you up on that offer,” she said with a smile before she started eating.

*Celine, how’s Max?* Danny asked Mentally as he started eating.

*Well…at least he’s not talking like a girl,* she replied happily, *He’ll live…until next practice. How’s Ebony?*

*Calmer…and she knows about our Mental Powers,* he replied, *She seem happy about that…and the idea of me training her.*

*As long as she stays calm, she’ll accept the Truth when the time comes,* Celine replied before ending the Link.

As he looked at Ebony, Danny hoped to hold on until she can come to him on her own…and remove the darkness in his Soul.
