Jealousy Test

It started with taking the dog for a walk. Kizo had to know how much Sojiro loved her. Did he really love her or was she just a bragging right? Only one way to see.

“Come on, Scarlet,” Kizo said. The puppy barked. Her owner giggled. The pair headed out the door.

The walk stared off simple enough. Kizo kept her eyes on the trail. It was a nice day. Not too hot and not too cold. She looked cute in her shorts and halter top. Kizo pulled out her phone.

“Hello?” Sojiro asked.

“Hey babe,” she said.

“What's up?”

“Not much. Just out here walking the dog.”

“Okay.”

“What are you doing now?”

There was a pause. Kizo pressed her lips together. She waited as her stomach turned.

“Why?” her boyfriend asked. Kizo perked up.

“Well.. It's a nice day out. I just figured… Maybe you could join us out here?” she offered.

“Sure!” Sojiro said. “Where are you now?” His girlfriend looked for a sign.

“Um… Ueno Park?” she said.

“I know where that is! I can come over right away!” Sojiro exclaimed, unable to keep the excitement out of his voice. Kizo breathed out.

“Great. I'll be waiting by the entry,” she said. “Love you.” Kizo hung up. A little smile spread across her face. The plan was set. Now, she had to see how this would play out.

The couple met up at the gate. Kizo's eyes lit up.

“You made it!” she said. She hugged her boyfriend. He would drop everything to come and see her.

“I missed you so much,” he said.

“Aw! You saw me yesterday,” Kizo said. Her boyfriend pouted.

“But I still missed you,” he said.

“You're so sweet,” she said. Kizo held out her hand.

“Shall we get going?” she asked. He was more than happy follow. He and Scarlet got along like a house of cards on fire.

“She's so cute,” Sojiro said. He reached down and patted the puppy on the head.

“Thanks,” Kizo said. Meanwhile, she kept her eyes open. Scarlet was the perfect tool to get dates. This test would be no different. Kizo counted down until the test could begin.

It didn't take long for the first boy to approach her.

The first guy had to be about twenty-three years old. He and Kizo locked eyes. The man came over to the couple. Right away, he started patting Scarlet.

“Aw! She's such a cutie!” the man said.

“Thank you!” Kizo said. The man glanced up at her.

“What's her name?” he asked.

“Scarlet.”

“Uh-huh.”

“You don't look so bad yourself.”

“Aw, thanks!” The man rubbed the back of his head. Sojiro looked confused. Huh? What was this? Kizo flipped back her hair. She giggled.

“What's your name?” she asked.

“Me? Kaito.”

“I'm Kizo. So nice to meet you.” She acted all sweet and nice to the guy. Meanwhile, Kaito felt too comfortable as he kept talking. Sojiro raised his hand.

“Excuse me! Excuse me!” he said. The pair didn't seem to listen to him. Kizo and Kaito were having a nice time. He started playing with her hair. Sojiro's face looked bright red.

“Hey!” he shouted. Kizo and Kaito looked up.

“Hey! I'm still here. I'm the boyfriend. Nice to meet you.” They stared at him. Kaito's face dropped.

“What?” he asked. Kizo rested her hand on the freshman's shoulder.

“Oh yes,” she said. “This is my boyfriend, Sojiro.” Kaito didn't know what to say.

“Oh!” he said. “Oh! My bad! I had no idea. Uh… Have a good day!” Kaito turned and walked away as fast as he could. Sojiro breathed out. Kizo hugged him happily. She giggled and kissed him on the cheek. He passed the test. But that was one guy. She had to be certain. Kizo would have to try this test two more times at least. Can't overdo it. Sojiro was a good one. She didn't want to lose him.
