Young Again

Chapter three

Wildfire

Ryo laughs as he runs around the living Room. Cye was quick on his heels with a towel in hand. The little boy was stark naked.

"Ryo Hold Still! You're getting water everywhere!" Cye finally manages to grab him and life him up in the towel. "You me dear boy are a pain in my buttocks"

Ryo smiles and sticks is thumb in his mouth and lays his head on Cye's should.

"Oh sure now you're sweet. Not an hour ago you were screaming your head off" Cye brushes Ryo's hair back. "You may be a pain but I can put up with it.." he taps Ryo's nose "for now"

Ryo looks up at him innocently. It had been two weeks sense Ryo had been turned into a baby. The guys were quickly losing hope they'll ever see their friend again.

"Has he finally Chilled?" Kento stood on the stairs leaning against the wall. He yawns tiredly, Ryo had been in his room last night and Ryo hadn't slept... at all.

"Yeah I think he did" Cye shift the boys weight. "For a while I didn't think he'd ever calm down"

"Well Last night I never thought he'd go to bed. Jabber Jabber, Jabber, that's all he did. Well once in a while he cried." Kento rubs his head in memory of the night.

Cye smiles down at the boy in his arms, who was now asleep. He looks up at Kento, "Hey Kent why don't you go and try and get some sleep? I can watch him until Rowen and Sage get back."

Keno nods and heads back upstairs "You'll wake me when lunch is ready?"

Cye chuckles "Don't I always?" At that Kento heads upstairs again. Cye gently lays Ryo on the couch and goes and grabs his cloths. He gently dress's Ryo than covers him with a blanket. He was amazed Ryo had slept though it all. Kids were such deep sleepers.

The young man heads into the kitchen to start lunch.

About two hours later with the table set and the food read he does and wakes Kento. Than heads down to get Ryo he stares down at him wondering if he should wake him. He eventually decides to pick him up. He lifted him up carefully. Ryo briefly wakes and makes a sound of protest than lays his head on Cye's should going back to sleep in Cye's arms. The man sighs and heads back into the kitchen. Kento was already in there getting food while yawning. He smiles at Cye.

"Rowen and Sage back yet?"

"No they must be out having fun.. somewhere. I hope they get back soon. I made food for them." He goes to set Ryo into his high chair. Ryo looks at him and immediately lifts his arms and starts crying. "Ahh Ryo Can't you just eat, quietly?!" Ryo just cries harder raising his arms higher. "Ok, ok" he picks Ryo up rocking him gently. "Shh it's ok" He brushes his hair back as Ryo lays his head back on Cye's shoulder sniffling still.

Kento smirks at the two, as cute as Ryo had been he's also been a pain in the ass. He was so ready for Ryo to grow up. He didn't want a baby here, he had kids at his parents home.

Cye sits down and starts serving himself. Ryo sat on his lap leaning against Cye's chest. He watches Cye eat for a bit than sits up and puts his hand into the rice and smoshing it. He picks his hand out and eats the rice off it, than smiles up at Cye.

Cye smiles a bit and grabs a napkin and starts cleaning Ryo's Hand.

Ryo starts making pig noises winking his nose. Cye sighs and set Ryo into his high chair again giving Ryo his own food, since he had already stuck his hand into it. Ryo picks a peace up sticking it into his mouth.

The sound of the door opening and slamming shut than opening and shutting again was heard. Rowen bursts through the house, heading upstairs. A dark bruise covers his right eye.

"OWEN!" Ryo bounces in his set lifting his arms.

"My god Rowen What happened"

Rowen ignores them and heads upstairs.

Ryo's bottom lip starts to tremble and bursts into tears. Cye picks him up trying to sooth him but he keeps screaming arms toward the stairs. "Shh Ryo.."

Ryo just screams louder.

Rowen comes back downstairs, takes Ryo out of Cye's arms and goes back upstairs. He goes into his room and slams his door shut.

Cye looks upstairs than at the kitchen door , where Sage stood. "What happened? both Kento and Cye watch Sage as he comes in and sits down.

"We ran into his `father', he was drunk"

Kento and Cye both curse under their breath.

Rowen lays on his bed watching Ryo play on the floor. He didn't know why but being around Ryo seemed to make everything OK. Maybe it was being near a baby, maybe it was knowing others were in worse situations than he. He wasn't sure but he did know he loved the kid.

He smiles as Ryo walks over to the bed and starts trying to climb up . Rowen helps him.

"And what can I do for you?" He tickles Ryo's tummy a bit. Ryo laughs than paint to Rowen's eye.

"Bobo?"

"Yeah I have a bobo." Rowen ruffles Ryo's hair.

"Ryo smiles and leans in and kiss's it softly. "All better?"

Rowen chuckles and nods "much better, thank you very much , Ryo"

Ryo smiles "so now you play?"

"Kid is that the only reason you made my bobo feel better, was so I'd play with you?"

Ryo nods.

Rowen laughs "your bluntness is astounding!"

Ryo climbs down from the bed than grabs Rowen's hand trying to pull him down.

Kento, Cye and Sage now sat in the living room. The TV was not on there was no sound except the buzz of the over head light.

Cye was sitting sideways on the couch his legs laying over Kento's lap. Sage sat in the chair looking through a book.

"Why hasn't he showed his face?!" Kento pounds his fist on the couch arm rest.

"Because he doesn't want too" Sage turns the page of his book.

"But, why?! What's the ping of this? He turns him into a baby than doesn't show his face any more?!" Kento growls in annoyances.

"He didn't show his face to start with" Sage points out still not looking up.

"Maybe they just want to weaken us.." Cye points out.

Sage puts the book down. "It's not us he's directly aiming for"

"What are you staying Sage?" Kento sits up more.

Sage sighs "think about it. He's had the chance to kill Ryo time and again. Yet he doesn't because as long as we have Ryo the more protective we get of him so when we do lose him.. the harder it will be."

"Huh?"" Kento was trying to figure it out.

Cye sits up. "He turns Ryo into baby and makes us get really attached to him, as a baby. Than kills a innocent, helpless babe"

Kento looked shocked "he's going to kill an innocent child that can't even help himself?!"

"Sure looks that way"

"That's-that's, he cant' do that!" Kento nearly yells.

"Shhh!" Cye sits up "He's already a child we need to just protect him and watch him.. all the time"

"But we need who ever did this to reverse it" Sage sighs "I dono what to do.."

"We.. wait so we have to try and keep Ryo away from this goon... yet we need the goon to change Ryo back." Kento stares at Sage.

"Looks that way don't it?" Sage picks his book up again.

"How can you be so calm?!" Kento stands up abruptly. Cye pulls his own legs back toward his body. "You could PRETEND to care!"

"Sit down Kento" Cye watches him.
