Story #44! Happy Holidays to everyone! This story is my first holiday
story. How cool is that! It’s short, but I had fun writing it so I
hope you like it! It’s based on a drawing from the artist Kaze. You
can find her works at Generals Love. I previously did the story,
“Beauty Within”, from one of Kaze’s pics so this is the second time
I’m writing my story based on her works.

Rated G and entertainment only. Enjoy reading! Naoko Takeuchi owns

THE DOLLS

“Merry Christmas!” shouted a gleeful Usagi as she jumped
around the Christmas tree in her home. The other girls laughed as
they sat around the tree, opening their presents from each other that
morning.
“It was really nice of your family to let us sleep over
for Christmas,” Mako said.
“So will they be back this evening?” Rei asked.
“Yeah, they just left a while ago to visit Grandma and
Grandpa,” Usagi replied as she finally sat down to open her
presents. “So we have the house all to ourselves!”
“Until later, when our guys arrive!” Mina squealed as she
held up a bright red bouse. “Oh, thank you, Ami!”
“You’re welcome,” Ami responded as she tried on a pair of
icy sapphire earrings. “I love these, Usagi!”
“I’m so glad!” Usagi giggled as she opened another
present.

Then she noticed five large packages just behind the tree.
“Hey, where did those come from?” As she was reaching for them, Luna
and Artemis sprung out from under the tree.
“They are from your Secret Santas,” Luna explained.
“Our Secret Santas?” Usagi asked. “Who?”
“Why don’t you open them and find out!” Artemis suggested
as the cats opened their own gifts.
“Hey! The gift tags say that each one is for each of us!”
Usagi gave each of her friends a gift. As they all opened them, they
each let out an exclamation of surprise.
“Oh, I love it!” -Mako
“How adorable!” -Mina
“Amazing!” -Rei
“It’s so sweet!” –Ami

* Each girl held up their own doll. Rei gave her Jadeite doll a
puzzled look while Mina placed a red bow on her Kunzite doll.
“Kawaii!” Ami said, as she hugged her Zoisite doll to herself as Mako
cuddled her Nephrite doll against her cheek. *

“Oh! My Mamo-chan got me a Tuxedo Kamen doll!” Usagi
kissed repeatedly on the doll like an excited five-year-old.
“Why Artemis! Thank you!” Luna purred as she tossed a red
fluffy pompom ball in the air. “I adore it!”
“I’m glad you like it.” Artemis swatted at a blue mouse
with a jingling noise. “This is a cool gift. Thanks, Luna!”
“I wonder how the boys manage to sneak in these gifts last
night,” Mina wondered.
“Probably the same way we did when we left them our gifts
last night at Mamoru’s apartment!” Rei laughed.
“I bet they were as puzzled as we were when they noticed
the house was empty as well as the apartment!” Mako giggled.
Ami’s cell phone rang, and she answered it. After a brief
discussion, she hung up and said, “That was Zander. He and the guys
are on their way. They’ll be here in an hour.”
“Ok, then! Let’s get ready, everyone!” Usagi exclaimed as
they all went upstairs.

The guys arrived, and the girls were ready. As they
entered the house, the guys were greeted with hugs and kisses and
lots of “thank you’s”. As they held their loves in their arms, each
guy complimented their gifts.
“Beautiful.”-Neil (Nephrite)
“Lovely.”-Keith (Kunzite)
“Striking.”-Jared (Jadeite)
“Breathtaking.”-Zander (Zoisite)
“Hey, Usako,” Mamoru said as he fingered the locket around
his neck. “We love your presents.”
“We love your presents, too,” Usagi said, as she nuzzled
her nose against his.

As everyone walked across town, Keith squeezed gently on
Mina’s hand as he asked, “How did you get this great photography? Did
Zander recommend someone?”
“Actually,” Luna explained as she hung onto Usagi’s
shoulder. “Usagi used the Silver Crystal so the girls can take a peek
from their past as the Moon Kingdom princesses!”
“Your past as princesses?” Jared said, surprised, as he
held on to Rei’s arm closer to him. “No wonder your pictures look so
great!”
“Yes,” Artemis agreed, hanging onto Mina’s shoulder. “And
with Ami’s computer, they managed to create their photo image. They
bought the lockets themselves.”
“Well, they’re the best gifts we’ve ever received,” Neil
stated, as he cuddled Mako against him.
“And our ladies now are just as fairly pretty as they were
as princesses.” Zander placed a kiss on Ami’s head.
“Indeed. Only more gorgerous.” Mamoru tweaked Usagi’s
nose.
“You’re not so bad yourselves!” all the girls chorused,
and everyone busted out laughing.

Then they all started singing carols until they arrived to
the main cathedral church downtown to help volunteer to feed the
homeless.
