Kanan

You were my sister

And you were also my lover

You were the only one who truly complete me

We grew up in different orphanages

But our love was immediate

We would walk in the fields

Holding hands, laughing, smiling

Just enjoying being there with one another

I would do anything for you

No matter how great the cost

I would always try

I wanted to keep you forever by my side

To live with you, to be with you

Yet, fate dealt us a deadly hand

When I was playing with my students

You were taken away from me

The villagers sacrificed you with ease

I sacrificed everything for you

I killed them all

Because I love you

Kanan, you always said you liked my hands

Yet, there I went and bathed them in red

When I finally found you

When you were locked up in that cage

I was amazed

I was still able to see your smiling face

One final time

On your last day

You told me you still loved me

And I knew you weren’t lying

You told me everything, even though you were crying

My heart broke when you told me

That that beast’s child was in your belly

Then as the final act, you destroyed it with yourself

I broke down that day

I changed

Emotionally and physically

For, I am a demon now

Would you think less of me?

I know I wouldn’t of you...

You were brave that day Kanan

I still love you

And I’ll never forget you

I’m happy knowing I was with you

For that part of your life as happiest

Thank-you for all the good times--

Even the bad

You have given me
