Hey fellas! Sorry about the sluggish update, I've been very busy lately. -_-0 So I got a request from Sayla Gathermoon and I couldn't help but to take the idea. :) So this chapter was her brilliant idea, all credit goes to her! ^-^

The curtains swished off the stage revealing Neko. She pumped her arms, “So how are all of you holding up out there?!”

 

The audience clapped and cheered, showing that they were more than capable of handling some more performances.

 

“I know all of you are going to love this performance! You finally get to hear a duet by Zero and Rele!”

 

The crowd cheered in excitement, “Yeah!!!”

 

She quickly hopped off the stage, allowing Zero and Rele to walk onto the stage, “Now give it up for Zero and Rele!”

 

The music from `Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better' began playing and Zero and Rele began swaying to the rhythm, and then Zero stepped forward.

 

I'm superior, you're inferior.
I'm the big attraction, you're the small.
I'm the major one, you're the minor one,
I can beatyou shootin', that's not all.
Anything you can do, I can do better.
I can do any thing better than you.

 

But out of nowhere, Bakunetsumaru ran onto the stage, took Rele's microphone and then shoved her out of the way.

 

No you can't!

 

Zero gritted his teeth and growled at Baku for shoving his princess off the stage.

 

Yes I can!

No you can't!

Yes I can!!!

No you can't!!!

Yes I can, yes I can!!!

 

Baku felt the need to spit on Zero, well, at least at his confidence.

 

Anything you can be Ican be greater.
Sooner or later, I'm greater than you.

 

Zero practically pushed his face against Baku's offensively.

 

No, you're not!

Yes I am!

No you're not!

Yes I am, yes I am!!!

 

Zero then straightened his posture and stood proudly, showing off to the crowd.

 

I can shoot a partridge with a single cartridge.
I can get a sparrow with a bow and arrow.
I can do almost anything.

 

Baku pointed at him, sneering during the process.

 

Can you bake a pie?

Neither can I. -_-0

 

 

Even after just realizing that there was one less thing the made him better than Zero, Baku managed to shake the feeling of defeat off his shoulders and continue.

 

Anything you can sing I can sing louder.

Zero magically popped up a bunch of bags that said `50% Off'. Hey, props are always a good thing to have. -_-0

 

Anything you can buy, I can buy cheaper.

Baku swiped the bags and ripped them all up.

 

Fifty cents!
Forty cents!
Thirty cents!
Twenty cents!

No you can't!!
Yes I can, yes I can!!

 

The audience gasped and awed when Baku pulled out a shovel from behind his back (who knew Baku was a magician? ^-^)

 

anything you can dig, I can dig deeper.
I can dig anything deeper than you.

 

Zero ripped the shovel out of his hands and hit him over the head with it.

 

Thirty feet!
Forty feet!
Fifty feet!
Sixty feet!

No you can't!!.
Yes I can, yes I can!!

 

Before Zero could start, Baku took the shovel and slammed Zero upside the head and then threw it off the stage.

 

I can drink my liquor faster than a flicker.
I can do it quicker and get even sicker.
I can live on bread and cheese.

And only on that?

Zero smiled snuggly at his `enemy'.

 

So can a rat! >:)

 

Baku gritted his teeth and lunged for him, only to miss. He looked up and Zero was high in the air with his arms crossed.

 

anything you can reach, I can go higher.

He jumped up in the air, desperate to reach Zero's elevation, but alas, all he could do was shake a fist and scream.

Baku stuck out his tongue at Zero, pointing to it as if trying to make a point.

 

anyone you can lick, I can lick faster.

The crowed went `ewwww' and Zero just shook his head.

 

With your fist?!
With my feet!
With your feet?!
With an axe!

Yes I can, yes I can!!

 

A bunch of school books popped up in Zero's hands and he unexpectedly dropped them on Baku.

 

Any school where you went, I could be master.
I could be master much faster than you.

 

Baku jumped out of the pile of books and threw a thick book at him.

 

Can you spell?!
No I can't.
Can you add?!
No I can't.
Can you teach?!
Yes I can, yes I can!!

 

Entengo came charging onto the stage and Baku hopped on his back.

 

I could be a racer, quite a steeple chaser.
I can jump a hurdle even with my girdle.
I can open any safe.

 

Zero swooped down to him and met him at eye level.

 

With out being caught?!
Yes.
That's what I thought!!

 

He pushed Baku off of his horse and touched his feet to the ground.

 

any note you can hold I can hold longer.
I can hold any note longer than you.

 

Baku got up and clenched his fists.

 

No you can't!
Yes I can!
No you can't!
Yes I can!
No you can't!!
Yes I can, yes I can!!

 

Suddenly, the music stopped and crowd began cheering.

 

“That was great!”

 

“Yeah, it was so well planned that it seemed like an actual `up staging'!”

 

But they all fell silent when they noticed that the duo was still staring at each other with death in their eyes. Baku lunged for Zero and tackled him off the stage. The sound of punching and yelling could be heard from behind the curtains.

 

“Ugh, get off me you swine! I can't believe that you ruined my performance!”

 

“You were asking for it you villain!”

 

The audience sweat dropped. One girl shook her head, “I knew it was too good to be true.” -__-0
