Nikós adjusted his armor as he headed to the throne room to be knighted.

Jade, now the royal tailor, was waiting in the hallway for Nikós. She hugged Nikós as soon as he reached her. "I'm so proud of you." She said softly.

"Thanks, Ma." Nikós replied.

"Your dad would be proud of you too." Jade said.

Sonic finished knighting Nikós.

Nikós grinned and stood up. "Thanks, uncle Sonic." He replied.

Sonic grinned weakly. "You're welcome."

Nikós, along with the rest of the crowd, cleared the throne room and headed to the dining hall.

Sonic walked Sally down the steps of the pedestal. "I'll probably be home a little late." He said. "I promised Nikós I'd take him to see his dad's grave after the dinner."

"That's sweet of you." Sally replied.

Shadow put on his trench coat over his shoulder holster and strapped his sword over the coat.

He headed out the door of his new home in Port Mobius.

He looked at the message a client had given him. "They want me to round up the thieves' guild?" He muttered. "As long as they pay me well."

Tails sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Ugh, this is giving me a headache." He muttered. He shut off the tablet. "That's enough for today."

Tails got up and walked by a few inventions he was making to help the doctors in Mobius. He had scavenged everything he could find in Robotnik's ship to see if any of the technology was beneficial.

So far, he had been able to help save dozens of lives with a couple of his inventions.

Knuckles and Sonia, along with Aleena, stood in the courtyard of the Mobotropolis palace on the warm, spring night.

"It gives me great pleasure to be able to rebuild our beloved home, Mobotropolis." Sonia announced. "Before we begin, a special thanks to Tails, who sadly couldn't make it here today as he is helping with relief efforts in Mobodoon at the moment. Tails' studies of the Chaos Emeralds and Robotnik's technologies have been beneficial to all of Mobius and have introduced a new golden age for our fair planet."

The crowd, Knuckles, and Aleena applauded.

"Now, without further ado." Sonia said, stepping slightly aside. "Queen Mother Aleena will do the honors of activating Mobotropolis' new lighting, heating, and cooling system."

The audience, Sonia, and Knuckles applauded as Aleena stepped forward.

Aleena hugged Sonia, then picked up the remote that was to signal one of the plant employees.

"Citizens of Mobotropolis, before I activate the new system, I want to assure the workers of the old system that they will not be out of a job." Aleena announced.

The crowd cheered and applauded.

"As Tails told us, there should always be a backup plan in case something goes wrong." Aleena said. "You will always have a job in some way. Now, citizens of Mobotropolis, I give you the Emerald power company."

Aleena pressed a button on the remote.

A few seconds later, the streetlights and the lights in the palace and cottages turned on.

The crowd cheered.
