The day was turning to night. The falling sun lit up the sky with fire, a thousand different shades, dulled by the hollow light of the not too far off city.
(Raven wondered if she was the only one who watched the sun set.)
The time before night was strange. The sun was dying beneath the horizon while the moon hung low in the sky, as if the world had confused itself.
(Raven wondered if she thought too deeply.)
Twilight. It made her feel odd, as if the world were turning on itself. It was better than when -she- was turning on herself.
(She wondered if she should meditate, just to shut her thoughts off.)
The world was a strange place, but you never really knew it until twilight.
