He didn't understand this fear.

Oni had attacked, and had beaten him. This didn't make any sense. He'd seen him fight. He wasn't so easily beaten down.

But what really bothered him was that he was worried. Worried that he hadn't made it. What happened to people when people were beaten by oni? It didn't make any sense.

He clutched his head and cast a glance to the tiny white thing.

He was afraid. He didn't like this feeling.
