Yuuki woke up the next morning with a headache.
Her eyes felt blurry and puffy. 'Too much crying'. she thought, annoyed at herself.
She dragged herself to her father's room to wake him up, but he wasn't there. Suddenly...
"Yuuuukiiiiii", her father cried as he hugged her from the back, "zero has been found!"
Yuuki just stared at him.
It took her a while to register what the chairman had just said.
Tears of joy slowly dripped down her cheeks.
"When's he coming home?", she asked quietly.
The chairman suddenly stopped smiling, and Yuuki began to regret
asking the question.
"He's lost his memory", the chairman told her, "he was found at the bottom of a cliff
with blood all over him but no wounds."
Yuuki stared at her dad.
"Where is he?", she asked numbly.
Chairman Cross hesitated. "Yuuki...", he started to say,
"you can't do anythi..", "Who cares!!", Yuuki interrupted, "where is he?!"
Chairman Cross gave her a sad look. "He's in a village quite far from here, he's..
in the same place where Kaname found you when you were 5."
Yuuki hugged him, "thanks dad."
"It's dangerous" Chairman told her, "there's other beings in this world besides vampires,
werewolves are an example."
Smiling sadly at her, he reached into his inner coat pocket and took out Zero's gun.
Bloody rose.
Yuuki nodded. "I'll bring him back", she said fearlessly.
For Zero...she would..no, she could do anything and everything.
That night, Yuuki Cross, aged 18, packed her things and went on a journey to find Zero Kiryuu, aged 19.

Kaname Kuran stepped out of the shadows.
The chairman turned around to face him.
"Will she be alright?" Kaname asked him.
Chairmand smiled. "Yuuki is strong", he replied simply,
"She has hidden strenght that no one knows of, and a hidden past that we might never find out."
Chairman stopped smiling, "not to mention, she's not exactly human."
"As long as she doesn't die, I'll be happy", Kaname said quietly.
Then he walked towards the door and left the room.
