Chapter 12: Kiryuu Zero is Cross's
son ;
Aidou Hanabusa's footsteps echoed through the empty hallways of th e moon dorms, he
was running at an abnormal speed but he still felt like he ;wasn't fast enough. A whiff of air
carr ying the exotic blood made him lose his concentration for a moment, he shook his head
violently and kept moving. Where was he heading anyway? He& nbsp;knew what he needed but
not where to find it?
And there it was, mounted on one of the walls, a white box with a red cross. He picked it up,
wiping the accumulated dust off, Aidou opened the box and found what is normally in any
first aid& nbsp;kit; some bandages, anti-histamines, blister dressings, scissors, antiseptic cre am,
some alcohol wipes, and a couple of tablets he didn't know what&n bsp;they were exactly for. This
is ridiculous! Aidou thought, this can't be enough, it's not even close. He was frustrated,
they didn't have an infirmary since they don't exa ctly get or "stay" injured in the moon
dorms. Moon dorms! That's it! He totally forgot about&nbs p;the Day class building, they definitely
hav e an infirmary, how can he be so stupid! He turned to the nearest window, opened it and
flew in the direction of the da y class dorms.

Cross Chairma n shifted uncomfortably under his friend's gaze.&n bsp;
"You know even if you stare so hard that you actually end up with whole ;in my head, it
wouldn't change anything, Zero is the one who chose to be in the night class. It is
completely his d ecision if you have anything to say it s hould be to him." Cross said with a
sigh.
"He hates it there, he is suffering, he has to be& nbsp;amongst the creatures he was taught to h ate
his whole life." Yagari Toga spat out.
"He&n bsp;is not going to be comfortable anywhere." Cross said sadly.
"Yes, but I bet you he would be a little less tense if…" th e hunter didn't finish his sentence,
his eyes flew to the door, just as soon as he&nbs p;felt the vampire's presence, the doors swun g
open.
Kain Akatsuki walked with wide steps, he was slightly panting, his face looked pale and his
eyes were wide open.
"Cross chairman, I'm afraid I have ;some bad news."
Cross held his breath.

The wind was blowing, it was cold, so cold, he felt numb everywhere , his shoulder and his
head hurt so ;much, but not more than his stupid side. Why was it hurting so much? He
couldn't remember what he last ate but he was&nbs p;almost sure it wasn't food poisoning,
nevertheless he felt like throwing up. And why was he moving? He just ;wanted to stop and
rest but for some&nb sp;reason he knew he wasn't supposed to. ;It was all so blurry, he couldn't
make& nbsp;out where he was, or who he was wit h, all he knew was that there was someon e
crying, and someone that was encouraging&n bsp;him to keep moving. A wave of pain shut&n bsp;
through him, like an electric shock, he moaned in pain he& nbsp;didn't want to do this anymore.
He finally decided t hat he just wanted to sleep, he just lon ged to surrender to that beautiful
darkness. And so, Kiryuu Zero closed his eyes as his legs buckled underneath his weight, he
heard his name and felt strong arms hold him before he fell into blissful darkness and he
didn't feel anything anymore.

Ichijo ;Takuma was really worried, the hunter has lost a lot of blood, heat was starting to
radia te off him and his wounds reeked, obviously infected. They were barel y going to make
it with this low speed, he wished Kiryuu would just let them carry him. He glanced at the
dark haired, half pure blood on&n bsp;the other side of the hunter.
"We sh ould just carry him" Shiki Senri suggested. < br> Just as he was about to tell Shiki& nbsp;he was thinking the same thing, Zero&nbs p;groaned as he
shuddered in pain before his body went limp.
"Kiry uu-kun!" Both vampires cried in shock as they strengthened their grip&nbs p;on the fallen
hunter. Zero collapsed to Shiki's side, the half pure blood lowered the hunter's limp body
down cradling his head gently. He looked up at his noble friends.
"Help me put him on my&nb sp;back" Shiki said.
Rima and Ruka, who caught up with them, helped Takuma put the hunter on Shiki's back.
"Let's hurry, I think it is getting a lot worse" Takuma's last word was barely heard as the
vampires disappeared in a flash of super speed.
~~~LINE~~~ Kuran Kaname opened his eyelids gently as he felt the familiar&nb sp;scents of Cross Chairman and
Yagari Toga, they were with Kain and Aidou heading towards his and Kiryuu's room.
Kaname's head we nt up at the long awaited presence of fo ur vampires and a bloody hunter.
On the high fence stood his cousin, Shiki, with the Kiryuu on his back an d Takuma stood
beside him. The pureblood gracefully descended from the tree and was at the fence by th e
time the rest of the vampires came&nbs p;down.
Rima was holding Ruka up by the& nbsp;waist and Ruka was looking down, her hair&nbs p;covering her
face. Kaname's jaw tightened he looked at Rima with a death glare, lifted his arm up and
jerked his hand to the side. Rima immediately understood that Kaname was not go ing to
deal with Ruka right now but he didn't want to see her around either. The golden ponytail s
shifted slightly as the noble bow ed her head in respect, tugged Ruka and flew to the moon
dorms&n bsp;and out of the pureblood's sight.
"K&acir c;€¦Kaname- sama… Kiryuu-kun&acir c;€¦" Takuma started.
"How bad is it?" Kaname asked looking at the hunter slum ped on Shiki's back. The half
pureblood was now covered with the hunter's blood.
"It's very bad…he-" the blonde&nbs p;answered cautiously.
"Then we better hurry, follow me" Kaname cut him as he turned his back and dashed to the
moon dorms followed immedia tely by the two vampires.
As soon a s Shiki stepped into the room after Kaname an d Takuma, he was surrounded by
Yagari, Cross, and Kain as they helped him put the bleeding hunter into the nearest& nbsp;bed.
Cross kneeled next to the bed and took Zero's hand, his face looked like he was ten years
older, and he looked very sad and shaken by his son's condition.
"I really want to know what happened but the priority now&nb sp;is kiryuu-kun, so please just save
him" Cross&nb sp;said without lifting his eyes from his son's face. He knew that Zero's condition
was so bad that no human medicine could heal, he was hoping for something else .
Kaname nodded towards Aidou. The blonde approached the bed and put his hand on the
chairman's shoulder "I know that this is hard for you Chairman Cross, I'm sorry but..." he said
shuffling uncomfort ably.
Cross looked up and for a second he looked like he was going to say&nbs p;no, then he shook his
head and wiped his teary eyes "ye-yes, I understand, it's okay…Iâ ;€¦I should probably go talk
to Y uuki, she shouldn't hear about this from someone else" He got up, still holding Zero's
hand, he squeezed it, and leaned in to kiss his forehead. "You survived worse, you can
surviv e this, son" Cross choked out, before turning to Yagari-sensei, he placed his hand on
his shoulder in comfort and led him gently outside the room. Before closing the door, Cross
turned his head looking for a pair of maroon eyes, he found them and was glad to find
them staring back reassuringly. The pureblood nodded with determination in his&nbs p;eyes.
