Hakkai had always warned Gojyo about the dangers of falling asleep while smoking. Gojyo never listened, but pretended that he did, and would light up another cigarette once Hakkai left the room.

 

This was probably why Hakkai was so amused with the current situation. “Didn't I tell you?”

 

“I never thought my hair would actually catch on fire, now trim the burnt ends off, please?”

 

Hakkai laughed and went to go get the scissors.

 

“And don't tell Sanzo or the Monkey either!”

 

Hakkai only laughed harder.
