Yugi held a figurine close to himself. It was a small dark magician. Yugi sadly smiled at it. `You're so lucky. If you wanted you could escape this. Its not like I can fly or anything.' Then it came to him. Before sliding his eyes shut he wished with all his heart and mind that he could become a duel monster. After all he obviously didn't belong here. Hadn't his friends shown him?

Holding his figure he looked down with a small smile. `One day I'll belong. If not here I'll join my true friends. I wish with everything I am I could join them'. A tear fell as he fell asleep.

 

The next day would be the day Yami regretted hurting his hikari.
