Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Meeting My Yami ❯ Unleashing ( Chapter 12 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Wingzero: Ack! I didn't want to make this a yaoi fic, but it looks like I'm heading in that direction. Well here are the lucky couples.

Yami/Yugi (hehehehehe, this one's a given)

Bakura/Ryou (also another one)

Mirai/Calin(most definitely, they fight like married couples)

Seto/Joey (no questions please)

Orion/Cyan (maybe)

Y.Malik/Malik (also another maybe)

Tristan (could use suggestions on who to pair him up with but definitely not Tea or any of the taken characters)

Suddenly, a bright light enveloped me. I felt at peace, as if we weren't under attack. Floating amongst the clouds, I heard voices, familiar voices. I smiled, without thinking about it. I wondered where I was.

Just as suddenly as I came here, I was abruptly pulled back into the real world, where I saw my friends alive and well. They didn't look like they were in a fight for their lives. When I studied their expressions, they appeared to be in some state of shock. I turned to Yami, who also had a similar appearance.

"You will pay!" With that, I lunged at my enemy

A bright sword appeared in my hands as I flew directly towards our enemy. Caught completely off guard, he cursed before raising his weapon in defense. Our weapons clashed with a loud sound. I stared into his eyes as we both shoved each other back and landed on the ground.

"So you have finally unleashed your powers," he said with an amusing tone. "But you haven't discovered your true potential. My master will train you to reach your full potential."

"I don't care!" I screamed at him, readying myself for another attack. My wings spread out. Wings? Since when did I have wings?

"This world will soon belong to my master," he said in a sure tone. "All those who stand in his way will be dealt with. Surely, you don't want to be on the losing side."

"How can I live with myself, knowing that I murdered innocent people," I screamed at him. I scanned him for any weaknesses. He did seem protective of his left side so maybe I can get a hit there. Orion managed to hit him from that angle.

"I don't call it murder," he said arrogantly. "I call it pest control."

My power increased ten fold as my anger also increased. The light surrounding me also increased in brightness. Our enemy had to look away for a second before turning his attention back to me. "You are the PEST!"

"Such fire," he said before glancing over towards Yami. An evil glint passed through his eyes as he rushed towards my other half without warning.

When I realized what was happening it was too late for me to help him. I cried out his name and rushed towards him hoping I would reach him in time. Instinct kicked in and before I knew it our enemy was laying face down covered in his own blood.

Did I do that? I don't remember what happened. All I could recall was charging at him, when he attacked Yami. The next few moments were blurry to me. Concentrating I realized, I had flown faster than I had originally though. My sword fighting was second nature so I had no trouble reading his defense and attack before he had a chance to react.

I picked up a mirror. Don't know where it came from and looked at myself. I had white wings tinted with silver on my back. On my body, I wore silver armor with a clear crystal in the middle of my chest plate. A bow and quiver of arrows hung on my back. Two small daggers were held on my belt. A matching band held my hair back.

"Yugi, what happened to you?" Joey asked when he found his voice.

"Yes master, I would also like to know," Calin stepped into the light.

"I don't know what happened," I admitted to the rest of them.

"Master Yugi, I believe you have hidden powers," Mirai stated. "At first I was wondering how you managed to bring us into this world. Now I know."

"Know what?" Yami demanded to know.

"What is it?" Ryou asked.

"Will Yug be hurt?" Joey joined in.

"How will this affect us?" Seto added.

Orion and Cyber Commander said nothing, since they were still clueless about the entire situation. They knew about magic, but they didn't fully comprehend or understand it.

"That's what I'd like to know," Yami Malik growled.

"First of all, this will not harm him," Mirai started to explain. "A prophecy from the time you were pharaoh has been fulfilled."

"What do you mean?" Yami asked.

Suddenly the words came into my mind. I don't know how. "When darkness meets light, they shall become one. The light shall reveal his true powers and peace will be brought."

"How did you know that?" Mirai stood facing me.

"I don't know," I admitted. "The words just came to me." Suddenly the world started spinning. I felt like I was on an amusement ride. My armor had disappeared and so has my wings. The next thing I knew I landed on the soft grass.

The others were yelling, but I couldn't hear them exactly though I could make out their distinct voices. Both my duel monsters were on the verge of a nervous break down. Yami had been ordering them around, I think. He sounded like he was. Joey was running around in circles, I think, before Yami barked a few orders at him. The dragons stood guard against any further attacks. Everything went black.

Blinking I tried to discern who was talking. I tried to push myself off of the sleeping bag when I felt my pain shooting down my entire body. A sturdy hand pushed me back onto the bag. Looking up, I discovered Yami hovering over me closely. He had this look in his eyes.

"Aibou, you should really rest."

"I know, but how are the others," I asked.

"They're fine because of you."

"I'd like to talk to Calin and Mirai, please," I begged him with my cutest face possible.

"If I allow you to, will you try to get some rest?" Yami asked.

"Yes," I assured him.

A few minutes later the elf and the magician walked through the tent flap. They each had concerned looks on their faces.

"Master Yugi, we were worried about you," Mirai started.

"What happened?" I asked looking between the both of them. "I can't remember a thing."

"You had transformed and attacked," Calin explained. "We thought you were a goner seeing as he raised his sword. But you moved out of the way, and with one slash, you caused him to drop his sword. That's when he pulled out another sword and began attacking you. You matched him blow for blow until you found an opening on his left side."

"It must be when I took him down," I murmured. Turning to Mirai, I asked him, "Is it possible that my old memories are coming back to me as well as my old skills?"

"I believe so," Mirai said staring off into space. "I suppose ………….."

"Suppose what?" Yami asked as he too entered the tent.

"Yugi's former powers are returning to him," Calin filled him in.

"Yugi needs his rest," Yami said shooing them out of the tent.

"Mirai?" I called out to him.

"Yes master," Mirai replied.

"If you remember something …….. anything no matter how small, please tell me."

Mirai nodded his head before dragging the reluctant elf out of the tent. Yami and I were left alone. He was about to depart when I stopped him.

"Please Yami, I don't want to be here alone," I whimpered.

Yami nodded his head and sat down in the sleeping back across from me. "I will stay here until you fall asleep."

I frowned before patting my sleeping bag. "I meant here."

Completely caught off guard, Yami tipped over. "Aibou?"

"Fine be that way, I'm coming over to you," I said trying to get out of my sleeping bag.

Strong hands wrapped around my waist as I felt additional weight coming down on my bag. "Why do I have this feeling I know you from some where?" I said randomly.

"Perhaps it has to do with your past life," Yami said as he brushed my hair out of my face. "You have hidden powers, which I have not discovered. Something must have triggered its ………."

"You mean release," I completed for him.

"Yes," Yami said.

"Do you think we were lovers?" I asked him.

Once again, I caught him off guard. He looked surprised at me before going down memory lane. "I had a wife at one time. Her name was………."

"Kayla," I interrupted.

Confusion ran throughout his face. "How did you know that?" I shrugged. How was I supposed to know? "We had two sons and a daughter."

"Eli, Naomi, and Yue," I said while spacing out.

Frowning, Yami began to ponder. "How do you know the names of my children?"

"I don't know," I said leaning against my pillow. "In these past moments, I can't tell you how, but it seems like I'm remembering my past life."

"Perhaps, never mind," Yami quickly cut off.

"What do you mean never mind?" I gazed into his ruby eyes, patiently waiting for an answer.

"I ………… It's only a theory and I don't want everyone to overreact before I know what's going on," Yami said rather quickly.

"Okay," I reluctantly accepted his weak excuse.

"Mirai and Calin would want to know," Yami stated his head on my shoulder. "That elf would pester me to no ends if we didn't tell him."

"I guess it's okay to tell them." Turning my head, I couldn't believe what I did. I actually kissed my yami on his LIPS!. "Oh, I'm sorry." I blurted out before blushing bright red.

"You kiss exactly like her," Yami had his hand over his mouth. Then he had this strange look on his face. "You ARE her!"

"You're not joking," I shifted my body to where I was facing him.

"Aibou, do you think I look like the type to joke around?" Yami questioned.

"No," I answered before snuggling up against him. Something moved against my back. I was about to jump up when I realized Yami was rubbing my back. Yawning, I closed my eyes and allowed myself to drift into a dreamless slumber.

The next morning came too early in my opinion. Yami had woken up earlier than me. I thought he was out of the tent when I brushed up against something or should I say some one. Peering over my shoulder, I discovered Yami watching me.

"How long have you been watching me?" I asked out of curiosity.

"About half an hour," Yami replied while playing with my hair.

"Do you really think I'm your wife from a long time ago?" I asked feeling the need to be confirmed and assured.

"Yes, otherwise you wouldn't be talking to me in ancient Egyptian," Yami now stroked my hair.

Bolting up in my sleeping bag, my eyes widened. I was actually talking a foreign language without knowing it. How bizarre! "I don't even know that language."

"You're speaking it," Yami stated as he too sat upright.

"Impossible!" I shook my head.

Soon a blur stopped at in front of me, Calin had a huge grin plastered on his face. "Master, you're okay!" He then noticed me trembling. "Master?"

"Calin, what language am I speaking to you in?" I asked, my eyes now locked onto his.

"You're speaking ancient Egyptian," Calin said rather startled.

Paling quite noticeably, I leaned against Yami for support. "This has certainly been an odd day."

"I take it you weren't expecting it," Calin stated the obvious.

"Let me put it this way," I explained to the confused elf. "I am speaking a language which hardly any one knows, which I haven't been learning it from Yami."

"Weird," the elf commented.

"Calin!" Mirai bursted into the tent. "You know better than to come barging in on our masters."

The warrior grinned sheepishly before profusely apologizing to us.

"Mirai, there's something I need to talk to you about," I said before the magician could leave.

"Master Yugi, how do you know that language," Mirai said dumbfounded.

"That's what we all liked to know," Yami added.

"Could it possibly do anything with the prophecy?" Calin's thoughts wandered off.

"He may be on to something, for once," Mirai contemplated.

"HEY! I resent that!" the elf yelled at the magician.

"From our discussion, I have concluded that Yugi is my former wife, though I don't know how she ended up in a male body," Yami stated flatly.

"No wonder he has a grasp on a foreign language," Mirai gasped. "There's more to the prophecy than we spoke of. I have to research it in my library……….. wait it's back at home."

"I'm sure Yami would lend you his," I chirped while looking at my darker half. "He has a lot of books that he doesn't read."

"Aibou!" Yami playfully scowled at me.

"Please?" I gave him my most cutest, adorable, not even he can resist puppy dog eyes.

Yami tried looking away from me and at our duel monsters, who were now completely laughing their heads off. Yes, even Mirai was laughing along with the elf. He tried to keep his resolution, but I knew I could break it down eventually. I began to move against him rhythmically. Then I snuggled up against him as close as possible, without hurting him.

"I surrender!" Yami threw up his hands in defeat. "You cheat, you know that." He held me in a loving embrace.

"So?" I innocently asked.

Mirai and Calin had calmed down enough to talk to us. "Should we inform the others?" Mirai asked.

"I'd think we'd better hold off on that," Yami answered grimly.

Outside the tent, the others were preparing breakfast. Bakura was holding Joey at bay while Ryou was trying to cook our meal. Tristan and Orion chatted amongst themselves. Cyan and the other dragons were holding a shooting contest. Duo pestered the Maliks to no ends. It took every ounce of will power from the both of them not to strangle the duel monster on the spot. Seto was checking and double checking our ride for any damages.

"Hey you're up!" Joey exclaimed as he raced towards me while dragging a furious yami behind him. "How yah doing?"

"Fine, thank you," I answered only to receive blank stares from everyone except the duel monsters and yamis. "What are you all staring at me for? Did I sprout a tail or something?!?!?!?"

The duel monsters laughed at me while the other seemed to be completely puzzled. "Where did you learn to speak another language?" Ryou asked, almost forgetting about his cooking.

I shrugged. "I guess I've been hanging around Yami too much."

"Could have told you that!" Bakura smirked.

Yami appeared on the verge of strangling the tomb raider before I gently restrained him. "There's no need to kill him over that."

"Oh please do," Yami Malik said maliciously.

"Don't make me come after you!" I placed my hands on my hips. "You know I can transform any second now and ………………….."

Both Yami Malik and Yami Bakura paled at my words. They had seen me in action last night and didn't want me to be using it against them.

"Would someone please translate for us?" Tristan yelled.

"Sure Tristan," Yami complied.

I headed towards Ryou and the food while Yami translated the entire conversation for them. "It smells delicious."

"I'm glad you like it," Ryou said before pausing for a second. "You're speaking English now."

"I never noticed," I mused.

When Ryou had finished cooking, we sat around the fire eating our breakfast and talking. Our main topic was what we were going to do about our enemies. From the information everyone donated, they figured I was the one they were really after. The millennium items had a part in it, but we weren't too sure about their role. Some trip this turned out to be.
