By: Pyro Education Reject

Seto: * sweatdrops* Who let Pyro have the lighter?!?!

Yugi: * grins evilly*

Seto: Okay. Pyro does not own YGO. If she did you wouldn't be reading this and I would be free from this hell raiser.

Seto's POV ( Introduction)

Have you ever had a second chance, even though you walked right by your first oppurtunity? Of course you have. That was a stupid question. EVERYONE surpasses their first chance, just happily waltzing by it. Then, lucky enough, most get another chance. A SECOND chance. Even though they mat not even deserve it. But some get tossed another oppurtunity, right after they realized their FIRST mistake. They then put their hands up and catch that second chance, and move on with their sad and pitiful lives. But some of us don't get off that easy. Life isn't ever perfect you know. Some are so stupid, they miss their SECOND chance. Or some might not even get another oppurtunity. I think I would qualify under that category. It was standing point-blank in front of me all along. But I walked passed it, without a care in the world. I walked passed my enemy, my opponent, and possibly my first and final chance...

So, now I tell you all this:

People who care, care about people.

I walked by my first oppurtunity. Now I'm afraid it might be too late...

Yami's POV ( End intro)

" See ya, Yami! I'm meeting the gang at the mall!!!" the young teenager's voice, specificlly my aibou's, voice rang through the halls.

" I thought you were going to help me with the dishes!" I called back, only to recieve a sarcastic 'Ha!'

I threw down the dish towel as he bounded down the stairs and wrapped his arms around me. I returned his tight embrace brotherly. He buried his face into my chest and mumbled something that sounded awfully like an ' I love you, Yami '. I smirked as I pulled away and repeated myself.

" I thought you were going to help me with the dishes today."

Yugi gave me that angel-like smile again, " But Yami. You've been lucky for the past 5000 years. You didn't have to do dishes." He smiled again.

" We had to do other tireful things," I argued back.

" Well that was then. This is now. Start trying at least to live in the 21st century."

" Alrighty then. Go hang out with your friends. I honestly don't care. And make that be a reward for you, since it is coming from a royal pharaoh."

" Ha! More like a royal pain in the ass to me." he said, dodging the plushie I threw at him as he bounded out the door. I shook my head. Crazy kid. Yet even so, I still thought he was adorable. I went back to my place at the kitchen sink. Right then I noticed that I had forgotten to say goodbye.

Seto's POV ( at the mansion.)

" Hey ya big bro? Can we get some ice cream?"

I looked up from my laptop and to my little brother with a smile. " Sure thing Mokuba."

His grin was priceless as he sprang off the couch and hastily put his shoes on. I saved my work and shut the laptop down. To tell you the truth, I was starting to get sick of all of this work. Sometimes I just want to relax on the beach, but that's between you and me okay? I won't tell you any more.

" C'mon, Seto!! Let's go already!"

I sighed. This kid sure had alot of energy today. I was beginning to doubt if he actually needed that extra sugar.

I guess Mokuba could see that I was stalling, because he was practically dragging me out the door. Then the phone rang.

" Hold on a sec Mokuba..." I growled as I picked up the reciever. I hope it isn't one of my employees again. They were getting on my nerve lately, " Kaiba speaking."

" H-hello? Kaiba?"

Yugi. I recognized his tone immeadietly.

" What do you want?"

" I was just wondering if you would come to the mall with the gang and I. If you have the time."

I could hear the cars in the background. He must have been using a phone booth.

" In a matter of fact, Yugi, I don't have time to go shopping for pointless reasons. I have work to do," I spat hastily. Maybe a little too hasty.

" Oh. Okay then. Bye," he said as I heard a small click in the background. I hung up.

" Who was that, Seto?" Mokuba asked me as we headed out the door.

" No one. No one important, okay?"

He just nodded as we walked ( Yes. Walked.) to the ice cream store.

* Five minutes later while walking down the sidewalk in Domino since I'm too LAZY!*

" Thanks for the ice cream, big bro!" Mokuba joyfully said as he licked his Rocky Road ice cream. We walked down the sidewalk, without a care in the world. If only I could have more days like this.

" It was no problem, little bro. It was kind of nice to get out." Again the kid smiled pricelessly as we came to a crosswalk. The walk light turned on and we walked across. I stumbled ahead of him about seventeen feet. When I turned around, I expected to see his smiling face running right behind me. Instead, I saw horror on his face as a dark blue car with tinted windows sped toward him.

" MOKUBA!!!" I cried, although just to hear my voice match another's. Everything happened in slow motion after that.

I saw. I couldn't move my legs. I then saw a kid run at full speed out into the road. The boy had sprang forward, arms outstretched as he pushed my brother out of the way of the maniacs, with only inches to spare. The car then hit the boy square in the ribs, tossing him over the roof of the car. With a sickening thud, the boy hit the ground and the car sped off, without care. Some of the pedestrians tried to chase the car, shouting out curse words while the other half screamed and murmered as they gathered around the boy. My legs then found their strength to move and suddenly I had myself in a tight embrace with my brother. He sobbed into my chest and tears rolled down my cheeks. Sure, the tears were tears of joy, that my brother had been saved, but more of terror. I got up as I squeezed my way through the crowd. I hoped what I saw wasn't true...

I then nearly cried out at the still boy on the road. No... no it couldn't be...

Yugi...
