The Love He Would Never Have
A swift draft of coolness,
Sways about this dark night.
The twinkling dots looming above,
Their shapes sparkling with excitement.
A young boy gazes up, usually the stars reflecting his eyes.
His beautiful amethyst eyes,
Filled with such agony and heartache.
Trembling with his gaze, focused on the sea above him,
He thinks of what will never be.
The callused hands that would never caress his skin,
The soft lips locking with his own, the tangy taste
Mixing with his own sweet flavor.
That tender tongue never at his flesh.
And never those alluring, red tinged orbs,
Full of such bravery and risk.
But also compassion and charm,
To stare at with his feelings,
The romance he craved.
The comfort he yearned for.
The love he would never have.
