Vampires & Demons- Chapter 2- Demons return

“Lord Bakura” The white haired demon lord stood his narrow violet eyes spotting each and every one of his minions

“Master” they all bowed like a wave of blood.

“Where is Marik?”

“In a deep slumber” a green lizard like demon spoke

“Where?” Bakura's voice was stern and had the sound of thunder even as he spoke softly

“With his brother Malik in the once crystal tunnels”

“Then I shall go and awake him”

“My lord, the tunnels they… they were dug out long ago and now called sewers. Marik and his brother are living statues in a castle they call a museum” the lizard spoke

“Oh Sparc you act as if you too just awoke” a woman came from the shadows but as she drew closer you could see her demon natures. Her eyes black her ears long and pointed and her hands tipped with bloodied claws.

“Isis” the woman's lips curved into a devious smile.

“So lonely have these many years been without you” she said her voice a fake seducing tone.

“Have not you missed your brothers? Why have you not tried to release them?”

“You know perfectly well why”

“Yes I do, heh” his smirk revealed a sharp fang “Well then I shall go to this `Museum' and set Marik free”

“And Malik?”

“I shall kill him” her eyes widened then a dark smile formed on her face as Bakura left in the shadows.

Yugi walked home alone, the sun already set and the streetlights flickered on. He looked up at the stars only to see that clouds covered them. His face dropped more than before and a tear dropped to the ground. A wind played the leaves like a flute and rain slowly began to drop onto the earth. Yugi dug in his pocket for the house key as he pulled it out a flash of lighting startled him causing the key to drop as he put his hands to his ears. He cursed under his breath and bent down to search for the key in the muddy lawn. Another flash of lighting revealed behind him a person in black. As Yugi stood he turned around but saw no one. He opened the door and walked in turning on the lights as he went through. He shivered and turned on the shower; he removed his jacket and uniforms. Yugi grabbed a warm towel out of the dryer and went back into the bathroom now filled with steam. He got in a let out a breath; he washed his hair that now lay on his shoulders. From behind he'd look like a girl and even a little in the front. His small body so small and weak but his soul was stronger than an almighty god himself. Yugi turned off the water and wrapped the towel around his waist. He dried himself and put on black pajamas, he grabbed a bag of chips and sat on the couch to watch t.v. Just as he picked up the remote the phone rang, he got up to get it and answered just as the 2nd ring began.

“Hello?”

“Hey Yugi it's me”

“Oh, hey Jou what's up?”

“Tea and I were wondering when you were leaving for your aunts”

“Oh um well I don't know yet, why?”

“What do ya mean why, we want to throw you a going away party before you leave dummy”

“Oh”

“You ok? Ya want me to come over so you won't have to be alone?”

“If it's not a problem”

“A problem? No way! Ok I'll be over in a few”

“Thanks” Yugi hung up and turned on the t.v. Yugi stood up to get a drink when he heard the doorbell.

“That was fast” Yugi turned to walk to the door and saw it wide open, the rug was already soaked by the rain. He ran to close the door then heard something upstairs, Yugi turned on the hall lights and walked slowly upstairs with a kitchen knife.

He looked in his grandfather's room but saw nothing; the bathroom and guestroom were the same too. Finally he opened his bedroom door and swiftly turned on the light. He stopped dead in his tracks, frozen like a statue, he looked and there in the middle of his floor there sat a girl. She had long gray hair but a young face almost like a child's her green eye's stabbed him in the heart. She wore a big white dress that covered the ground while swirling around her. Her skin was as white as snow and her hands ended in long sharp nails.

“My lord” the girl's voice was high like a little kid's voice

“Are… how…?”

“We need you to come back to us my lord Yami”

“My name… is Yugi”

“Please come with me, rejoin your kin”

“Huh?”

“My lord you must return, the demons have found their lord once more and will soon attack”

“What? Who are you?”

“Heehee it seems I have forgotten my manners. I am Trish the white vampire”

“Vampire?”

“You are the reincarnated lord Yami of the vampires”

“I'm what?”

“You must come with me you must become Yami once more and…”

“Hey Yugi your door was open so I let myself in, you up here!” Jou was came into the room to see a white bat hovering in Yugi's room. “Whoa a ghost bat! I'll get it Yugi” Jou ran at the bat but missed every time he tried to hit it.

“Jou stop!”

“Wha--”

“Let it go” Yugi shook his head `Must've been imagining things' he thought as the bat flew out of the window.

“Hey Yug' you ok?”

“Ya I'm alright it's just been a little weird without grandpa and running the store…”

“Common I'll get you some water, here sit down” Jou sat Yugi on his bed and went downstairs t get a glass of water.

Yugi woke up to find Jou sleeping on the ground, he got up and brushed his teeth.

“Hey Yugi, did ya sleep well” Yugi nodded his head and muttered “Thank you” between brushing

“Ya when I came back into the room you were passed out, so I let you rest. You know you shouldn't… really… work… yourself so… much” Jou said while brushing his own teeth.

“I'm not” Yugi spit out the paste and went to his closet for some different clothes, Jou came out after Yugi had finished changing.

“So you wanna go to the shop or something?”

“Sure I'll meet you downstairs ok”

“Ok” Jou ran downstairs and ate a poptart while waiting for Yugi

“My lord!” Yugi jumped to see the white bat at his window

“D… did you just…”

“My lord please!”

“You talked!” the window opened and the bat landed on the ground slowly becoming a girl again.

“Will you come?”

“Oh my god… I wasn't dreaming…” Yugi stammered back but couldn't find the door

“You idiot I'm not gonna bite… well not you at least. Please come!”

“N… no”

“Our kind will die without you! Bakstu is trying to take over as lord even though he found you”

“Bakstu?”

“Come now”

“N… h… hey!” Yugi had no time to disagree as the girl grabbed him and all went black.

Yugi awoke thinking he was still asleep but soon figured he was in a pitch-black room, he moaned in pain and rubbed his head then felt around for anything. He stopped, feeling a knob or something he twisted it.

“Ouch, you pervert!” Yugi looked up and saw two yellow glowing eyes “Oh, my lord I'm sorry. I didn't know you were awake. Let me help you.” Yugi's eyes burned as a sudden light came on. He looked at the woman before him. She was beautiful, with long blonde hair yellow like eyes pale skin red lips. He looked and saw what he had turned, Yugi blushed and pulled away.

“I'm sorry! I… I couldn't see”

“It is alright my lord” the woman bowed and Yugi saw scars on her back

“Are you ok?” the woman smiled

“Yes my lord I'm fine, especially now that you have returned to us”

“Lina!” a distant voice called into the room

“Yes madam!” the woman answered in a light voice, another woman walked in this one not as pretty or nice looking. She had black eyes fangs over her bottom lip, red hair white skin and wore odd black clothing with black wings coming form her back.

“My lord, Bakstu has been awaiting your audience” the woman bowed and put out a hand to Yugi. He looked at the blonde woman and her smile told him it was ok. He took the woman's hand and she pulled him close. Holding onto him tightly as she flew straight up, Yugi thought they'd run into the ceiling when she suddenly turned and set him down gently. In front of Yugi was a man with long white like hair.

“Please my lord they await you” the man bowed and handed Yugi some clothes. He came back out dressed in black dress type clothing with a long black cape.

“Um…”

“Follow me my lord” the man put out and hand and with the other he opened black curtains to reveal a large room filled with people. Not all of them were very human like though. There were some with large bat wings, some with large or small horns, some had legs of an animal and large fangs.

“M… monsters!”

“Ha, ha, ha. No my lord, vampires! You may not remember as you are in that form but. You are the lord of all of these vampires, you are lord Yami of the Vampire clans.”

“I am?”

“Yes my lord and now you have returned” the whole room plus the man Bakstu all bowed.

“Please my lord come with me and I shall explain your… life many years ago” they walked into another large room and Bakstu helped Yugi onto a large throne made from skeletons and carved stone. “Many years ago you lived as a very strong vampire named Yami. No one dare defy you and so the king at the time challenged you and lost. You became the new vampire king and fed the other to your kind. With ultimate power and beauty you could have ruled the world but. Bakura of the demons was also a very strong opponent who too wanted the world as his own. You 2 fought many battles and then had a battle that would seem to be your last. Just as it had begun a sorceress sealed you and Bakura up inside a deep chamber worse than hell. Her kind soon died off from both demons and vampires killing them. Found within the last of her kind were pearls one black and one white. Within the white was the souls of vampires within the black were demons. Our kind waited and waited for many years and finally your life presence was strong enough to be known. The demons found their reincarnated lord a few months ago and have already used the black pearl to awaken his powers. Now all there is, is for you to wear the white pearl and take the powers as your own. With that you can defeat Bakura and hold the world in your palm once more.”

“No”

“What?”

“I don't want to rule the world”

“But my lord…”

“If I'm your lord than you will obey me and leave me alone”

“But…”

“Bakstu he said to go away. Probably your idiotic voice has given his majesty a headache” Bakstu turned to glare at a white haired girl. Bakstu turned and left with a snarl at her.

“My lord may I come in?”

“Um… o…”

“I am sorry for forcing you here earlier but you needed to come. I know this must all be very strange for one as young but you must understand. Ever since Bakura has returned the demon's powers have increased and they have been killing off our weaker vampire. You do not have to rule the world but please you must save us. You right now are more of a vampire than you know. When I first met you, in the form of a nurse. I tried to hypnotize you but instead you reversed it somehow and froze me.”

“T… that was y… you?”

“Yes, please forgive my trickery. Have you begun to understand more?”

“Kind of but not really? Why am I really here?”

“You are here because this is where you belong, and as our king you must help us defeat the demons. You are here to be our king. Even in your state now you have more power than Bakura had in his other form. This means that when you use the pearl you will be 2 times stronger than he.” she looked at him and smiled noticing he had fallen asleep. She had suddenly become taller and more adult like. She put a large blanket around him and turned to leave.

“G… grandpa… don't… the… monster…” a tear fell down Yugi's now sad face and she stopped her face mixed with emotions. She put her head down and hugged Yugi whispering “sorry.” She lay next to him and rocked him to stop his crying. His hear slowed and he fell into a more peaceful dream. She held onto him tightly and fell asleep.

When Yugi woke up he thought it was still nighttime and felt as if someone was holding him, he looked but no one else was in the room. He got up and went to open the large door. He looked out and saw the blonde haired woman but her eyes were different they were more green now.

“Oh my lord, did I wake you? I'm so sorry”

“No you didn't”

“You must be hungry please come” Yugi followed her down a few stairs and into a large dinning room. There on a long table were thousands of different foods for breakfast and lunch.

“We didn't know what you like so we sent someone to get all of the foods humans eat in the morning”

“Ah thank you” Yugi sat down and ate with a smile on his face. He felt safe for once in this place and he didn't feel alone when she or the other girl were around. Bakstu worried him though. Yugi felt as if Bakstu even now was watching him. How right he was as in the corner of the ceiling clung a black bat.

“Um Lina?”

“Yes my lord”

“Are you a vampire too?”

“Mmhmm”

“When the other girl became a bat she was white, what kind is that? And what kind are you”

“Ah the mistress is an exotic ghost bat. I myself am just a regular fruit bat”

“So you don't drink blood”

“Well… I wouldn't say I don't. When I am in a bat form as to getting around I look like a fruit bat. I love fruit but… we all live on blood whether it be animal or human”

“Oh…”

After brunch Yugi walked with Lina to look around the large domain. She showed him arts and vampires. So much he couldn't keep up. She told him the history of vampires and all. He was amazed with it all but one thing, a statue, was what he became more interested in.

“Um Lina, who's that statue of?”

“Oh, that is Lady Morrigan, she wasn't a vampire but looked much like one. You fell in love with her actually. It seems that fascination is still the same” Lina laughed

“What was she then?”

“Well there are stories of her being a succubus, some where she is a siren, some a half breed, then some where she was a human who only looked like a vampire. You are the only one who knows the truth”

“Oh…” they kept on walking.

“My lord! Lina Bakstu and the mistress are awaiting you” a green haired man informed. They walked through 3 large doors and into a room where the white haired girl and Bakstu sat talking.

“A my lord!”

“Please come sit, Lina can you leave us please”

“Yes ma'am” Lina closed the doors behind her and the white haired girl had a serious face.

“My lord years before you left us you had a type of partner always by your side. His name was Malik both him and his twin brother Marik were put into a deep slumber within a rock. Bakura has awakened them both and has taken Malik into his caves. There he tortures and may soon kill him”

“What do I do?”

“We must go and bring him back. You will have to use the pearl and kill the demons”

“I…”

“Not all of them but a few, yes”

“Ok but… I'm not very brave”

“You will not be the same as you are now. As it happens you shall understand now please take this pearl and put it on. I'm not sure how it works but after you have it on you must wait till Yami is finished then he will take it off”

“What if he never finishes and never takes it off?”

“My lord…”

“I don't want to… I will be myself and save Malik”

“But…”

“Bakstu he has chosen, he is the lord he may chose what he wants”

“Very well then, we must leave now”
