I love a good Rei/Shinji story. There really aren't enough of them. Anyway... I found the characters to be more in-character than many other stories I've read. The occassional Japanese throws me off, though. Perhaps you could include some footnotes explaining the terms. Very promising start. I'll be eargerly awaiting the next chapter.
