Hrm, I guess I don't really need to repeat the same comment, but I will. I loved the part where Aya ruffled his hair. The story had me off balance a lot (where is this going?! *thinks about gnawing fingernails*) which I think is a really brilliant part of your writing. A wondeful fic!

I like this Aya, sweet and confused despite everything else he is and could be. I've always thought of him as chivalrous... Loved "so close to me, he smelled of sweat and blood and leather and metal, and I wanted to lick him"; also his letting down his own defenses as he undid the buckles of his coat. And you have to love the thing about Yoji having great talent but Aya being "a species of one, uniquely weird." And when he said "I like it," it broke my heart. Much like that small, dark, bitter twist to his mouth. Thanks for this, and I really hope you're feeling better soon.

That was an incredibly lovely little piece. Very realistic in its characterizations and emotions. Very...them. Amazing job.
