In the anime, Kagome is once poisoned by a dark miko. In her hallucinatiions, she meets Kikyou who asks Kagome who she is. Kagome says: "You...I am you." first. This fiction shows clearly how Kagome must've felt that very moment, even if this take place way after that. And, as I remember, in the anime... Kikyou is finally the one to force Kagome out of her shadow and be herself. Perhaps a second chapter...?
