Note to self, don't make bets with Duo Maxwell. Heh. As usual, your description of the competition had me on the edge of my seat while reading. Well, maybe not to the point of Heero and Treize, but definitely full of anticipation. I'm with Duo on that one, it must be rather cute to watch Heero 'ride with' the competitors on the screen. hehe. It is disappointing that they didn't make the Nation's Cup team, but I guess it would have been worse if they had, and then realized how much more work Shinigami needed to do to be ready. At least something catastrophically bad didn't happen. Heero has had enough bad things happen to his animals that I can understand his worry for Smokey. I'm glad everything went well. Oh dear. That didn't go nearly as well as I'd hoped. But at least Heero knows what he needs to work on now, and it is clear that Shini did his best. Still, Heero must be rather upset. Heh. I must say I was about as disturbed as Heero the first time my cat brought me a present. It is rather amusing that he'd react that way. I'm just so excited that Heero is finally getting the chance he deserves, I just hope something bad doesn't happen this time. Have I mentioned how much I like Zoe? Now that was just an evil way to end the chapter... and after we waited so patiently to find out if they made the team, too. *sulks* I still love this ... I just haven't been able to leave a review because until recently I was forced to copy any new chapters to a Word doc and take it home to read. Love your writing, keep it up.

Oh dear. If Wing is going to be more stubborn than Shini, I think Heero's in for an interesting go of it! And Smokey the kitten is just so adorable! That letter in the mail has me all excited and worried at the same time. I'm really hoping it's good news. Heero deserves some good news at last, and it does seem like his run of bad luck is finally breaking. Shinigami did so well at the last show... Ack! I'm getting nervous about a fictional competition! Lost kittens and escaping foals! Mischievous baby animals abound and they've stolen Heero's heart. I've no doubt they're conspiring to steal him away from Duo. Hehee! Heero was just like a little kid, asking Duo if they could keep the kitten. So cute! It will be interesting to see if Wing is as filled with mischief as Shini. It's certainly looking that way! Well that went so much better than I expected! I was a bit surprised that both Duo and Relena behaved themselves. But I suppose they are adults and can act like it on occasion. I'm sure Heero will be thanking Duo for his good behavior! The lemony goodness in the center of this chapter took me a bit by surprise as well. It was like taking a bite of what you expect to be a plain pastry and discovering a mouthful of delicious filling! Really quite nice. Even without the lemons, though, I've been wholly enthralled by this story. Thank you very much for writing! --jess

Oh Wing Zero is even better than Wing! And he proves to be quite an amusing youngster too! Though I must say that all very young things are endearingly amusing. I'm really rather happy for Heero. And it seems that the little thing holds a bit of promise. I'll be eager to see if he grows to outstrip his sire and elder brother. Oh just wonderful! A new healthy baby boy and with almost no complications or hitches. Lets hope that this is indicative of a positive turn in Heero's luck. They deserve it.
